Getting back to us, we are all local to Galena, 3 out of the 4 of us were born in Galena, the odd ball was born in Evanston, IL, but grew up in Galena since the age of 4. Now after all these years, the boys are married to two amazing women (that’s us....we are the amazing women) and between the two families we have 6 beautiful children.

We live in Galena, however, the township we live in is called Vinegar Hill. Prior to us, the schoolhouse was used as the Vinegar Hill Town Hall. A property we were all very familiar with, we voted here, the township board meetings were held here, many garage sales took place here. Then the township put it up for auction, it is equal distance from where both families live, so we figured why not!

Our unique property was built in 1912 as a one room schoolhouse. It was a school until 1958, when the Vinegar Hill Township purchased it and it became the Vinegar Hill Town Hall. We purchased the town hall in November 2024 and turned it into the gorgeous 2 bedroom, 2 bath property you get to enjoy now.
