Ocean Lakes is currently making major improvements to Sandy Harbor.

The original indoor pool, original outdoor pool, and Sandy Harbor Mini Golf closed September 8, 2026 for construction. Ocean Lakes plans to have the new facilities ready for Memorial Day weekend 2027.

The expansion is planned to include a new resort-style outdoor pool with cabanas, a much larger indoor pool, children`s splash pool and aquatic play area, two indoor body slides, expanded Game Center space, and new food service.

The separate Sandy Harbor Water Park operates seasonally, and amenity availability can vary due to weather, staffing, maintenance, and construction.

Ocean Lakes is a complete vacation destination. The Sandy Harbor family fun center has the “Splash Zone” water park with slides and lazy river and game center that kids always love. The Nature Center can provide learning during your vacation. There are several playgrounds near the beach, an Olympic size outdoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool for year round enjoyment, a convenience store, Sandy’s Meet and Eat restaurant, the Sandy Harbor cafe, and the “snack shak” to grab a bite.

Ocean Lakes charges $15 per vehicle per day for parking. This must be paid directly to Ocean Lakes and is not included in our cost quote. Reservations made in advance can qualify for express check-in, save a few dollars and beat the lines on check-in day.

Ocean Lakes is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still, a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining, and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. Just a short drive north is all the attractions and shopping of Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, and one of the world’s largest Ferris wheels. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world’s largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it’s just a few minutes south.

Vacation Rental Agreement - Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions form a binding contract between You and Ass in The Sand Beach Rental, LLC (AiTSBR) effective immediately upon reserving your beach cottage.

With this agreement, you and AiTSBR, wish to agree on the terms of your renting the property on a short-term basis for vacation purposes.

Therefore, the Parties agree as follows:

1. Reservation.
