Stay in the Conch Republic Consul General's Cottage. Historic Carriage House is located a few blocks from famous Duval Street. Stay in a traditional Conch Style Home that features Mexican tile floors, spacious master bedroom with queen size bed, guest bedroom with full size bed and one couch sleeper sofa. Two full size bathrooms and inside washer/dryer. Central air conditioning, flat screen tv's and free wifi and open style full kitchen and living room. Pool on property. There is an additional cottages for rent upon availability. Vrbo #481491. Free off street parking spot. Cottage is popular with many repeat renters so reserving sooner than later is recommended.

Perfect place to be!

The carriage house is comfortably furnished; kitchen has nothing lacking; pool and grounds are cozy and well maintained. Perfect location and easy to get to sights and beaches.

Great walkable location

Simple checkin and checkout. Clean. Perfect for 2 couples. Each had own bedroom and bathroom. Walkable to all main places in Key West. Nice to have laundry and pool. Really nice to have the parking spot. Great time and would highly recommend.

Great Key West Stay

My aunts, mom and I had a great stay. The rooms were spacious, allowing plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out. Roberta and the owner were very kind. I am hoping to get my husband to come back for a visit with me.

Keys Retreat

Very clean and well equipped kitchen although we didn’t cook! Quiet neighborhood but not far from everything! Pool was very nice and relaxing!

Perfect Cottage & Location!

The cottage was perfect for the 3 of us, pics don’t do it justice! Super clean, plenty essentials for cooking even though we only cooked breakfast/used paper plates for convenience. Loved having the convenience of a washer/dryer. Cottage is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to many places if you do choose to walk. We rented a jeep (although wasn’t really needed) since a parking spot was provided, which we found to be a rare luxury in Key West. Met the owners who are so nice/we totally enjoyed them! Rick suggested several eating places close by that were great, he was so informative about many things! The best advice was to Uber, which we ended up doing the last few days, was so convenient/inexpensive, no worries trying to find a parking spot then locating a parking meter while out and about. Weather was gorgeous for September, humidity extremely high, we were thankful to have the sparkling, clean pool to take a dip in every day. Roberta (property manager) was so kind, quick to respond to any questions and informative as well. We totally recommend staying here, you definitely will have no regrets! If we should make it to Key West again, this will be where we will definitely stay!

Relaxing

This location is great to walk to multiple areas in key west. It’s not too far from Duvall street but also not right on it to where it’s hard to relax and sleep. Loved the environment. The neighbors were friendly and considerate the entire stay! Will definitely go back!!!

10/10 They thought of everything

This was the perfect spot for the three of us. Plenty of space, kitchen had everything; there were plenty of towels (pool and bath) and it was clean. The pool was a nice way to wrap up our day as was visiting with Kitty, the resident feline..friendly and curious. It's a great location, perfect walking distance from most activities, and quiet. Check in was a breeze (especially appreciated with our delayed flights!) and the property mgr was quick to reply to any questions I had, v pleasant to work with. We will keep our fingers crossed this is available for our next trip.

Great cottage

The cottage was exactly as described. The unit was far enough from the action for a quiet nights rest but a close walk to Duval to enjoy all the action. The pool was very nice and clean, and the resident cat was just an added bonus.

Anniversary Vacation

Our stay was for a week and we had the best time. Walking distance to Duval Street was definitely a plus. The on site pool was wonderful to come back to after a day out in the sun. The property owners, who lived right there, were the best hosts and very hospitable. Highly recommend this property and would definitely revisit.

Some issues

The house has a lot of potential but very dated. First two days AC was broke and the fan in the master bedroom had no pull chain. Too hot for no air flow. The master bed was so old it squeaked every time you moved. Also mattress was too firm. The positives were the property cat and the location.

Nice cottage, quiet location!

This cottage came with a little Kitty cat! A big plus for me, being a cat lover, but maybe not for everyone. You're only a block off of Truman street, and about 3 blocks to Duval. We would love to stay there again. We rented a golf cart and we had our own space to park it there. I highly recommend some kind of transportation at this location, unless you're a lot younger than us, and don't mind about a 5 block hike to Duval. The water pressure was a bit low and the A/C may not keep up on a very hot day but we were comfortable during our stay in April.

Relax in Paradise

The cottage is nestled cozy in its surroundings with a pool and lounging area. The cottage is equipped with everything we needed to make our stay so very homey and comfortable. Its located mere minutes from all the hot spots in key west. We truly had a ball!

Loved this place!!

Myself, husband, sister and friend came to celebrate my 50th! There was plenty of room for us all and we didn't feel cramped. The cottage was just far enough from Duval that we couldn't hear it, but close enough to walk to. We absolutely loved the pool and lounged around it daily. It was nice to talk to the other people staying there on the property too. And I can't say enough about Kitty, she was the best.She made it feel really like home. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could need and there were plenty of towels for everyone. I will definitely recommend this place to others!

LOCATION WOW - LOVED IT

We had a great time. LOVED the location. Property Mgr very efficient. The owner definitely needs to get a new bed and mattress for the master bedroom - awful sleep x 3 nts. The bathrooms need a facelift as tiles were cracked and mildew. We were hardly at the house so it did not dampen our stay but for $350 per night felt like the house could have been cleaner with newer linen, towels etc. Didn't use the pool but very pleasant and quiet. Adored the cat! All in all a good time but would not return unless the owner invests money in the issues that were mentioned.
