Stay in the Conch Republic Consul General's Cottage. Historic Carriage House is located a few blocks from famous Duval Street. Stay in a traditional Conch Style Home that features Mexican tile floors, spacious master bedroom with queen size bed, guest bedroom with full size bed and one couch sleeper sofa. Two full size bathrooms and inside washer/dryer. Central air conditioning, flat screen tv's and free wifi and open style full kitchen and living room. Pool on property. There is an additional cottages for rent upon availability. Vrbo #481491. Free off street parking spot. Cottage is popular with many repeat renters so reserving sooner than later is recommended.

Great walkable location

Simple checkin and checkout. Clean. Perfect for 2 couples. Each had own bedroom and bathroom. Walkable to all main places in Key West. Nice to have laundry and pool. Really nice to have the parking spot. Great time and would highly recommend.

Beautiful location in Key West. Property was well kept, clean pool surrounded by greenery. The Carriage house was welcoming and quaint. We will visit again!

Great location with a short walk downtown. Lovely swimming pool and secluded pool area that was nice to hang out in. the outside kitty was a fun visitor and was very friendly.

Quiet location with easy walking access to attractions. Property was clean and comfortable but some of the kitchen items need updating.

Total Enjoyment!

Communication and check-in/check-out were a breeze!! The property was just as described. Pool was fantastic and always clean. Washer and dryer in unit was a wonderful plus!! I would book again but it's already taken for when we will be back next March!!

quiet neighborhood

condo was very comfortable, all photos completely accurate. Pool was a nice oasis to come home to after site seeing in the heat. Lovely quiet neighborhood, easy to drive to everything in Key West. Very clean with the right amount of distance between the two bedrooms if used. Nice large shower in second bedroom with perfect water pressure. Another thing that made our entire stay just comfortable. Will stay there again for sure.

60th Birthday

We came to Key West to celebrate my 60th birthday. Everything at the Carriage House was great and as promised. Roberta was an excellent host. I would recommend this place to friends. We walked to Duvall Street for dinner the first night but rented a Golf Cart for the rest of the week. The walk was not bad at all we just wanted to see more than what we could walk.

The Essence of Key West

A cottage that captured the essence of Key West! Great location in the historic district that was safe/secure and allowed us to walk to Duval and numerous other places. Super clean with all the amenities needed for our group of 6. The well maintained pool and “local” kitty were an added bonus that added to the Key West ambience....we called the kitty “Hemingway”. Rebecca, property manager, was very quick to respond to our question on the WiFi code and our check-in was a breeze.

Nice, clean, and comfortable. Roberta was very responsive and great to work with.

Perfect for 4 adults. Amenities were a plus…loved having a kitchen and washer and dryer. The pool was the perfect size and was just right for us to relax in after a day of walking. The owners were great to work with and we’re super responsive to any needs we had. Liked the location…we usually stay farther up Duval where it’s busier, so it was nice to be in a quiet area, but still close to Duval. Word of advice…it’s Florida..so you might see a bug or two…just keep the kitchen clean, and you will be fine. Would recommend and stay again.

Great Little Cottage and Location

This property was in a great location and within a 2 mile walking distance of most attractions. If you are not into walking you can catch the free Duval Loop bus within 3 blocks (Off of Virginia turn right on Windson, left on Truman and left on Simonton to the bus stop mid-block.) Cuban coffee shop and Cuban Restuarant within walking distance....great for takeout to eat around the pool. Wonderful neighborhoods to walk in to see the Key West lifestyle. The Cottage is older, but is well maintained and owner lives in main house on the property.

Great family time

This rental was in the perfect location. Far enough away from Duval that it was quiet, and close enough to bike everywhere we wanted to go. Never got in the car except to leave. Very clean, had all the kitchen amenities needed. Kitty was an added bonus. Roberta was very attentive and quick with responses. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect location with great surroundings

This property is located right in the middle of all the popular locations. Everything is within walking distance. We enjoyed the little Cuban restaurant right around the corner (get the Cuban mixto. It will not disappoint! ) The pool was nice to cool off after long day of walking. The cottage was clean and stocked with everything that we needed. We enjoyed the resident cat and our neighbor. They were in the middle of construction while we were there and it did not disturb us one bit. We will definitely be back!

LOCATION WOW - LOVED IT

We had a great time. LOVED the location. Property Mgr very efficient. The owner definitely needs to get a new bed and mattress for the master bedroom - awful sleep x 3 nts. The bathrooms need a facelift as tiles were cracked and mildew. We were hardly at the house so it did not dampen our stay but for $350 per night felt like the house could have been cleaner with newer linen, towels etc. Didn't use the pool but very pleasant and quiet. Adored the cat! All in all a good time but would not return unless the owner invests money in the issues that were mentioned.

Small old house. Pool is shared with another VRBO house. Bed bugs gallore.

The location was quite fair, walking distance to Duval street and shopping. Quiet neighborhood and safe. Worst were the bugs biting the hell out of us in the beds. We were booked for 5 nights, after one night, I spent the next 4 sleeping on a sofa in the living room. (still got bitten but not as bad.) 5 days after leaving we are still scratching. Host said it was the first she had heard of it.? Besides that, the mattresses are uncomfortable. I wish I could post a photo of all the bites on my wife's legs and arms. The entire family has bites. Spoilt an otherwise nice 17 day vacation to Florida. Other VRBO's in St. Augustine and New Smyrna were 5 star. Unfortunately, this one was the last stop. Tiny ants all over the kitchen counter tops, make sure all food type items stay in a fridge.

Great little place

Pros: We stayed the last week of January and had a great time. The place was clean and a good size with everything we needed. The parking in Key West is a nightmare and this place offered an off street spot that was a relief. We drove in from Miami so we had a car but if flying directly into Key West, don’t bother. It's close enough to everything that we were able to walk to the center of town in 15 minutes but far enough off the main drag that it was nice and quiet. The pools is well kept and clean, although cold. This didn’t stop my daughter from swimming and she loved it. It has central air and that was a big win for my husband and kids. It comes with beach towels and extra blankets and pillows which were clean and felt new. Checking in and out was super easy and quick, we didn’t have any trouble with it. Anytime I reached out with questions the owners responded quickly. Cons: The beds are not very comfortable but we still slept just fine and my kids slept great. There is not a pack n play included. I would recommend getting one for families with smaller kids. When I asked about it, the owner responded to me quickly and sent me a link to a baby gear rental company that is local to Key West so that was helpful even though we ended up not needing it. My son was fine to sleep in a regular bed but it would have been nice to have it as an option if the regular bed didn’t work out. Overall, we had a great time and I would stay here again.
