SPECTACULAR VIEWS – Black Bear Lodge, in Mt. Crested Butte, is one of the newer condo properties. The living area and patio are south facing with spectacular, uncompromised views of Crested Butte valley and the surrounding 12,000-foot peaks, including Mt. Crested Butte and Elk Mountains. Black Bear has a heated garage, elevator access, hot tub, BBQ grill, ski equipment lockers and a community lounge.

Black Bear is located in Mt Crested Butte, just up the hill from the historic town of Crested Butte, which has an array of quaint shops and numerous outstanding restaurants and taverns. Black Bear is 50 yards from the 4 chair West Wall ski lift. Just walk across a quite street. The new Peach Tree lift utilized by ski school is also located by the West Wall lift. The free Town shuttle stops across the street every 20 minutes and takes you into town for the ultimate in travel convenience!

Enjoy the spectacular wildflowers in the “Wildflower Capital of Colorado”, test your abilities on world-class mountain biking trails, hike for miles in the pristine wilderness setting, enjoy the fall foliage colors, (my favorite time of year) and take in the beauty of the mountains.

In the winter, enjoy unsurpassed skiing and snowboarding at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Nordic skiing right down the bike/rec path to Crested Butte's Nordic trail system, or enjoy the peace and quiet of snowshoeing.

Parking:
One vehicle can be parked in 303’s dedicated parking spot. Please place the provided parking pass in your car. You will love the heated garage!

No trailers or RV's are allowed at the property. There are 2 parking spots dedicated to sprinter vans, located in front of the porte cochere. Also, per HOA regulations, all parking under the porte cochere is for temporary parking only. The good news.....the garage is heated.

The minimum age for all persons is 25 years of age unless you are with your parents.

Unfortunately this property does not allow pets of any kind.I do have a security camera that is facing the front door only.

Great location!

Quick weekend skiing with friends in Crested Butte. Marcia’s place is gorgeous, especially the view from the window! Comfortable, perfect location to the West Wall lift. She is very responsive to messaging. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely Views

We had a wonderful stay. The lovely morning sunrises and sunsets on the mountains made us feel very relaxed. The home is beautifully decorated and exactly how the pictures showed in the listing. Everything was easy to get to especially the alpine skiing. We would come back in a heart beat.

This place is as advertised and super cozy. It’s close to the lifts and easy to get to. The heated garage is a serious perk. We enjoyed our stay!

Awesome stay and location

Amazing place to stay in Crested Butte. This is our 4th stay at this mountain and we have stayed in a different location every time, just to try different things out… this one was the best! Not only was the condo spacious and clean, but it had a good amount of amenities and accessories. Plenty of extra keys to the unit, coffe k cups and grinder and Nicely stocked kitchen.The real jewel of this place is the location AND the covered and heated parking and locker rooms. So so nice to have these in the accommodations. We have stayed at ski in and out and used ski valet and honestly even though this wasn’t technically ski in / out it was actually our favorite. I read in some of the reviews they were disappointed this wasn’t technically ski/ in/out but it was very simple to pop across the street… walk right up to peachtree lift and then ski down to red lady. And you can ski down almost to the street on the way home. Would definitely stay here again. Great find .

Cozy and Clean with Epic Views

We had a beautiful stay, and would definitely visit again. Marcia is a wonderful host. if you have allergies, please be aware there are several diffusers in the house that are quite strong. I started sneezing as soon as I walked in the door. We gathered them up and put them in the laundry room and just aired out the unit and it was fine. Great location too!

The property was immaculate, had a gorgeous Mountain View and was conveniently located across the street from the lifts. Garage and ski lockers completed a wonderful vacation.

Great, cozy place! Technically not ski-in/ski-out.

We loved the property! It was clean, cozy, and the host communication was amazing. The only downside is that it really isn’t ski-in/ski-out. It takes a bit of a hike up the hill and around the lodge across the street to get to Westwall and Peachtree lifts. Apart from that it was amazing!

The condo was beautifully decorated and in meticulous condition. Everything you need for a comfortable stay was provided. The views were incredible and the visit s from the humming birds on the deck were a special treat! Great for a party of 4!

Perfect place for our Created Butte Ski Trip!

This condo went above and beyond our expectations! Our host was super communicative leading up to our trip… answering our questions quickly, giving us a snow report (which were awesome conditions) and sending us very thorough details regarding our stay. The condo was perfect for our family of 4. Beautifully decorated, spacious, perfect location (great for us to come back to in between runs for lunch) and stocked with everything we would need. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our 1st family Crested Butte ski trip! Can’t wait to plan our trip for next year!

We drove in for a week of skiing and couldn't have asked for a better stay. Condo was exactly as it looks in the pictures, cozy and comfortable. Walked right across the street and right onto the lift. Great location and great host.

Beautiful Condo with Fabulous View of Mountains

The condo is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Top of the line furnishings, bedding, and kitchenware. Great place to hang out with friends and cook a meal. The West lift is across the street, thru a tunnel and behind another condo building. That lift lets you ski to the base resort. For non-skiers, there is a Condo Bus Line. It runs every 30 minutes to the base area, where there are some shops and restaurants. To get to the town of Crested Butte, you can transfer to a Town Bus. A small grocery store and the best restaurants and shopping are in the town of Crested Butte. Used the bus website, but it took a few trips on the bus before completely figuring out the logistics of using the bus. The guests are responsible for taking their trash outside to the dumpster. The dumpster has a bear-proof feature, that was a little tough to figure out for a first time user. There are recycling bins in the garage. We didn't know about the recycling bins, until the last day when we took the trash out, so unfortunately all of our recyclables were thrown away with the trash. Felt bad about putting recyclables in the regular trash. Overall an impressive condo and great host. Only suggestions would be to leave information in the "Information Binder" at the condo regarding the logistics to getting to the West Lift, using the condo bus, transfers to the town bus, bear proof dumpster, and recycling.
