The house was exactly what we were looking for, away from the crowd and congestion of the “in-town” options but close enough to be able to do all the activities we wanted. It was clean and very comfortable, and plenty big enough for our group of six adult family members. We would definitely stay here again!

Like you, many guests appreciate the quiet setting of Gills Rock at the end of the peninsula, away from the busiest summer crowds while remaining close enough to enjoy everything Door County has to offer. Excellent climate control including bath vents and air purifier. Lots of choices for lounging inside and out. Rubber feet on dining chairs balky.

When we stayed Sept 21 thru Sept 24 our experience regarding the heating in the house was an issue. Rooms were cold and the upper wall unit in the master BR blew cold air into the room! And response from the host was not timely. Also the windows throughout the house are very old and we even found some that were not fully able to be properly closed. Overall we were not impressed. Will not plan a vacation in that structure again!

Beautiful setting and a huge house. We enjoyed the fire pit and it was wonderful that firewood was provided. The AC, although not necessarily needed, was quiet and efficient. Lots of room for relaxing. There was a minor issue with supplies, but the host took care of it immediately. Communication with the host was excellent. Access to the property was easy. We would definitely stay here again!
