Located in the heart of San Marcos, this private 3-bedroom suite offers a peaceful and comfortable stay — perfect for parents visiting their Texas State University students. While part of a multi-family home, the unit is completely self-contained with no shared spaces, featuring a private entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, two full bathrooms, and a fenced backyard just for you.
The suite includes one king bed and two queen beds across three quiet bedrooms, plus a queen-size pull-out couch in the living room for extra flexibility. Both bathrooms come stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and the kitchen is ideal for anything from morning coffee to family dinners.

What a great rental! It’s so clean and comfortable. Felt like home away from home with little details that made our stay even better! The back patio is a great gathering spot. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Perfect graduation stay!

The house was very comfortable, clean, quiet and updated. Parking was easy. Check-in was easy. The backyard was an added bonus! If the Texas weather allows, you could eat every meal out there as it is right off of the kitchen with a large table. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was quite possibly one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed in. The listing is very accurate, and the house was super clean and in a very nice and quiet neighborhood near Texas State University. It was spacious and perfect for families with a pet. 10/10 would stay here again! The owners were very easy to communicate with, which we appreciated greatly. The fridge even had waters, sodas and a bottle of wine inside. Very, very impressed with this stay!

I highly reccomend this vavation home. The location and host are amazing. The beds and set up of the rental did not disappoint. The outside 6 person table with covered patio and lights really helped elevate our stay to accommodate our guest. The neighborhood is full of deer to enjoy watching. The host was checking on us to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. The only improvment I would suggest would be, TV in the bedrooms.

The Hillcrest Home has everything you need to enjoy your time in San Marcos. The home is cozy, welcoming, super clean, and quiet. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen stocked, the AC pumped out cold air, and the showers were so nice we had to remind our teenager there was not an endless supply of hot water, there might have been, it never ran cold!!!!!!! There are tubes available for river activities, a cute library of books, a cozy couch to read them, and a great backyard for tossing a football. Our host, Alex, has provided a comprehensive Welcome Book and was available for any of our questions about the property and the surrounding area. He was outstanding. We can't wait to come back and know that we have a place to stay while our kiddo attends school at TXST. Thanks for an amazing stay Alex!!

The hosts were wonderful. They went above and beyond any need we had. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area. It’s also close to restaurants. Loved this house. We had a great time

Beautiful house, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Dog friendly with a nice backyard, convenient location to all amenities and plenty of parking. Deer wander the street all day and hung out in the yard. We would definitely stay here again if available on our next trip!
