Consistently the best reviewed house on Crescent Beach.
This world class beach is on Anastasia Island; 20 miles of flat, wide, talcum powder like sand great for walking, jogging, biking or fishing on the hard-packed sand, sunbathing, birding, and surfing when waters are rough.
Location, location, location, says it all. You will not find another listing this PRIVATE & QUIET on this ocean beach. No condo hallways, no strangers or neighbors you can hear. This house has a private walkway to spectacular Crescent Beach. You won't even see another person -- unless you want to. Hit the beach for a swim or a walk (you can go for miles) there are restaurants and bars within walking distance, but at the house, it's you and the ocean.

One of very few privately owned houses ON Crescent Beach for rent. It is simply the best. 80% of our guests are return renters.
This house reflects a way of being in Florida that values tradition over trend. The vibe is personal, and chill — a Florida retreat that feels like it’s always been part of the landscape, yet perfectly yours for the moment.

If you want, jump into the car and the world of zoo's, museums, architecture and history is yours. Dozens of parks and ecological destinations within miles. Rent a bike, board, horse or a kayak to see things from another angle-- BUT... it's not easy to leave that deck!

You will not find a better host than Ann. She was a delight and extremely responsive. The entire process from booking to checkout was effortless and efficient.The house is private and has a view that is breathtaking. You have your own private boardwalk to the beach The decor is totally unique and is obviously a collection of years of one of a kind art and culture. This is NOT a cookie cutter developer-furnished rental. This house is a memorable and delightful experience. We absolutely loved our stay.

We had a wonderfull stay. The home was a classic style that conjured up images of Ernest Hemingway writing in Key West. It was immaculate and stocked with every household item imaginable. The location in Crescent beach is vintage old south Florida seclusion and privacy. The views the dunes and beach from the two separate lving rooms both with floor to ceiling windows was panoramic and amazing and only bested by going out to relax on the deck chairs. The owner was extrrmely pleasant and attentive. A routine maintenence issue was immediatrly attended to. We arelook8ng forward to a return visit.

We absolutely loved our stay at this incredible home. The home is impeccably clean and is an absolute visual treat with a decorative style that is warm, inviting, and relaxing. The host clearly has an incredible eye for design, making this spacious home feel super cozy. The location of the home is perfect. The view from the large windows and spacious outdoor area are simply breathtaking to say the least. We enjoyed watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee, sunset dinners and all the time in between. As one who loves to cook, the spacious kitchen area is amazing with everything needed for any size meal. We loved the private walkway and the cozy sitting area overlooking the beach. We also loved the convenient area on the outdoor space to wash off the sand from a day at the beach. We have been coming to St. Augustine for years and this stay was by far the best. It exceeded ALL our expectations. The host was wonderful. The communication and information was superb. We have nothing but the highest compliments and regards. We have found our spot. We look forward to returning and staying here each time we visit.

Amazing property!It starts with the driveway: exit A1A into tree tunnel that arcs to the house, protecting the house not only from view but from the sound of traffic. Lush vacant lot next door, so extra privacy. Parking enough for several cars and easy unloading / loading. Enter the house on the ground floor. The bedrooms / full bath on the first level are relaxing, with a seating area / couch to overflow for reading or naps. As you come up stairs; the first landing is a wall of books on a range of topics, a library of reading options. As you step up to the upper floor, the view unfolds. Breathtaking. Absolutely breathtaking!The horizon line where the Atlantic meets the sky, beyond the dune with the sea oats and beautiful flowering plants: stunning. Open kitchen is well-equipped, ready for two or three cooks. Dining area allows meals to be relished with views that enhance laughter and conversations. Not one but two additional seating areas with couches (again, reading or napping, oh my, such perfection). The master suite has another wall of books, a quiet retreat in the midst of the entire retreat. Still more! Expansive deck. Spectacular views. Private walkover to wide beach. Sand bar for surfers and boogie boarders, tidal pools for kids, 20-minute drive to the Bridge of Lions / historic area. Bring your supplies but house has you backstopped with supplies. We had 6 adults (grown, married children); one of best properties we've ever rented. Yay mom for finding it!

Top Location for Crescent Beach.

Beautiful home located in the perfect spot on Crescent Beach,direct private access to beach was a hit with all the family, luxury home for the week with more than enough room for all made this a vacation one to remember,we will be going back for sure.

Great getaway spot

Lovely property was clean and as described. Beautiful location on gorgeous beach, easy access to local fishing and St. Augustine sightseeing. Host and property manager were easy to contact and responded to inquiries promptly.

Relaxing!

Very close to everything you need in St. Augustine while still having privacy. Restaurants and grocery stores 5 minute drive. Home is very nice and beach is wonderful! Would stay there again.

Wonderful location

Wonderful location and loved its location - 1 minute walk down your private walk to the beach and short drive to downtown St Augustine (close but not too close). My adult kids, husband, and I LOVED the house / perfect layout. The owner is super nice, very attentive if you have questions. We’d stay there again!

This is a real beach house. We have taken great care to design a space that is romantic slightly rustic and comfortable with a vintage Florida vibe. Think Nancy Meyers movies.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Love to walk the beach, shelling and fishing along the way. Good food, biking, kayaking, pickle ball and yoga close by to keep you busy.

Aside from being on an amazing beach, this house is very private and more elegant and "cushy" than most rentals on Crescent Beach.

We are cooks, and this house has a good kitchen to make great meals-- especially for a number of cooks to do their thing all at once. -- finally, walk it out to the deck for a moonlit dinner!

Since the house is built into a sand dune and the views are at the top, there are a number of staircases to make all of the areas accessible. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult for anyone who has trouble with steps.

The privacy is really the thing that sets our house apart from other rentals on the beach. No condo renters, or even visible neighbors, this is one of a kind.

The wildlife on our little island is impressive, from the birds that fly along the beach and nest in the spring, to the dolphins and whales that you will see passing by or the turtles that nest on the beach and live in the dunes, we're living in a ecological park.
If you get tired of watching from the house, the area is full of parks and beaches. The Intracoastal waterway is just behind us and that has a completely different vibe-- rent a kayak and check it out when you get sick of surfing, fishing and shelling on the beach. Ha-ha.
Additionally, the house is large and very comfortable with lots of seating areas to provide privacy and quiet. Unfortunately, we do not accept children.
