Being as though I was having a birthday dinner with family I asked the owner was the home specifically talking about the limit of 4 people spending the night. The response was yes. So I booked it. The page says for events such as birthdays so this “seemed” like the right home. Our stay was interrupted before it could begin. This home was to be the rendezvous point for a small dinner before having an evening out on the town but as soon as there were 6 guest there, the host required that we pack up and leave. (They live downstairs) This came as a shock to me since we had previously inquired with the host about having a small dinner to which they had expressed no concern. I can only surmise that it was not the number but the TYPE of guest the host had taken issue with. We had been profiled. Without any cause or provocation, the host told us our stay was a "liability issue". The host insisted that there could only be a maximum of four people in the unit at any given time and it would have been nice if that were stated at any point before the evening was to begin. The booking also stated that I could have guest as long as it was before 12am. It was only around 8pm at this time. I told the host I would take my dinner party else where and come back with no more than 3 people. He agreed and said he would love for me to stay. As soon as I stepped out the house. He locked the door and said I’m canceling your reservation. And to leave his property. Don’t trust this host.
