Salty C Cottage offers something increasingly hard to find: a true direct-oceanfront home in the heart of St Augustine Beach. There is no driving to get to the beach, crossing busy roads or navigating cliffs and rocky shorelines. Our wide, flat and sandy beach is directly in front of the property, while all the restaurants, activities and atmosphere of St Augustine Beach are just a short walk away.

Built in 1926, Salty C Cottage has retained the relaxed, welcoming character of a traditional Florida beach-house while providing all the conveniences you'd expect from a top-rated vacation stay. Salty C is casual, comfortable and designed for multi-families and friends who want to spend genuine time together by the ocean. The entire property is included with your reservation and is exclusively available to your group.

We are located just one mile south of the St Augustine Pier and a 5 mile (10 min) Drive to the Heart of Historic Old St Augustine. We have 4 restaurants within a block from our Cottage and all just an easy short walk and a new Publix Supermarket and Liquor store is just a mile away.

IDEAL FOR LARGE AND MULTI FAMILY GROUPS:
Salty C Cottage accommodates up to 16 guests total, with no more than 14 adults. Each floor is completely self contained, with its own kitchen, dining area and living room. This layout gives extended families and multi-family groups room to spread out, maintain a little personal space and still come together for meals, beach days and time with one another. Our guests consistently tell us they love the layout.

Note: The top bunks are designed only for children age 10 or younger who weigh less than 150 pounds. The top bunks are not suitable for adults.

IMPORTANT LAYOUT INFORMATION:
There is no internal staircase connecting the two floors. Each level is accessed using the covered exterior stairs. Also, two bedrooms, (one upstairs and one downstairs), are pass-through bedrooms that must be walked through to access other rooms. This arrangement works very well for most of our guests. Because the home has exterior stairs and the floors are not internally connected, guests with mobility limitations should confirm that the layout is appropriate for their needs.

COMFORT, WIFI AND ENTERTAINMENT:
High speed WiFi is available throughout the Cottage. Each living room has a 65 inch Roku Smart television. Traditional cable programming is not provided, but guests can sign into their preferred streaming services through Roku. A dedicated gaming console station is also located beside each television, making it easy to connect a personal gaming system.

COFFEE AND KITCHEN ESSENTIALS:
The upstairs coffee maker can brew a full pot of coffee or accommodate individual K Cups. The downstairs Keurig coffee maker accommodates K Cups only. Both kitchens include the basic supplies needed to get your stay started, including:
• Nonstick cooking spray
• Basic spices, salt and pepper
• Aluminum foil and plastic wrap
• Paper towels and napkins
• Dishwashing liquid
• Pump hand soap at each sink
• Trash bags
• Enough toilet paper for approximately a three day stay

Guests staying for longer periods may need to replenish consumable supplies during their visit.

OUTDOOR LIVING, GRILLING AND LAUNDRY:
We have a huge lawn area on the east-side of the property where you can throw a ball or lay out in the sun, there's also ample picnic-table seating as well as hammock chairs for your comfort. On the west-side of the Cottage we have a covered outdoor area which also provides seating for your entire group and is a comfortable place to grill, relax and enjoy time together away from the sun. A four burner Blackstone type gas griddle is provided. Gas, grilling utensils, oil and nonstick cooking spray are all included.

The laundry area is located outside the main living spaces in the covered carport. It is protected from the weather, easy to access and supplied with laundry detergent.

BEACH EQUIPMENT PROVIDED:
We provide the following beach equipment for guest use:
• Eight beach chairs
• Three beach umbrellas
• Beach caddy
• Cooler
• Assortment of beach toys
• Ample beach towels

Guests are responsible for beach equipment that is lost, removed from the property or damaged beyond normal wear.

OTHER ITEMS PROVIDED:
• Bath towels
• Starter shampoo and conditioner
• Hotel sized soap bars
• Games and puzzles
• Books and novels

ITEMS NOT PROVIDED:
• Beach bicycles
• Cribs
• High chairs

Several local companies rent these items and can arrange delivery directly to the Cottage.

PARKING:
Parking is available on the property for a maximum of six vehicles. No more than six vehicles may be present at the property at any time.

HOUSE RULES AND GUEST EXPECTATIONS:
We want every guest to have a relaxing and memorable stay. We also operate in a quiet residential neighborhood and strictly enforce the following rules:
• The primary booking guest must be at least 25 years old.
• The primary booking guest must be present for personal check in and must stay at the Cottage for the entire reservation.
• Reservations made on behalf of another person or group are not permitted.
• Only the registered overnight guests included in the approved reservation may enter the home or property.
• Day visitors, unregistered guests and guest swapping are not permitted.
• Maximum occupancy is 16 guests, with no more than 14 adults.
• Inflatable mattresses, additional beds and outside bedding may not be brought onto the property.
• Weddings, parties, receptions and events are not permitted.
• Smoking, vaping and electronic cigarettes are prohibited inside the Cottage and on the property.
• Lastly, our strict no-pet policy is in place because our young daughter is extremely allergic and asthmatic, unfortunately due to the seriousness of her allergies support animals of any kind are also not permitted on the property.

EXTERIOR SECURITY CAMERAS:
Exterior security cameras are located at the west-side rear parking area and east-side front lawn area. The cameras remain active during reservations and monitor exterior areas periodically only (with audio and video). There are no cameras or recording devices inside the Cottage whatsoever.

CHECKOUT AND LATE DEPARTURE:
Checkout is no later than 10:00 a.m. on the scheduled departure date. Our cleaning team begins work promptly at 10:00 a.m. so the Cottage can be properly prepared for the next guests.
A departure after 10:00 a.m. without prior written approval will result in a $250 late checkout charge submitted through VRBO.

THERMOSTAT:
To protect the air conditioning equipment and keep it operating reliably, the thermostat may not be set below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This setting keeps the home comfortable during Florida’s hottest weather while helping prevent the system from freezing or failing during your stay.

CANCELLATIONS, WEATHER AND ILLNESS:
The cancellation policy displayed by VRBO during booking controls each reservation. Please review it carefully before confirming your stay. We apply the selected cancellation policy consistently and strongly encourage guests to purchase appropriate travel insurance, particularly when travelling during Atlantic Hurricane season. Hurricanes are common from June 1 to Nov 30 every year. Refunds requested because of an impending storm are only considered if:
1. A named hurricane directly impacts our property (within the 3-Day NHC Warning Cone).
2. Local authorities issue a voluntary evacuation order for our area.

Rain, unfavorable weather forecasts, transportation disruptions, personal circumstances and guest illness do not automatically qualify a reservation for a refund.

HOUSE RULE VIOLATIONS:
These expectations are provided before booking so there are no surprises after arrival.
Serious or repeated violations will result in the reservation being terminated and guests being required to leave the property. Unused nights may not be refunded. Please make certain that everyone in your group understands and agrees to the rules before booking.
