Beautiful Carmel Highlands Home

This gorgeous home overlooks the Pacific, has beautiful gardens and an abundance of indoor and outdoor sitting space. The property is adjacent to the Highlands Inn property. We walked to dinner one evening at Pacific Edge. The house is as advertised. Clean. Very comfortable. Gorgeous view of the pacific from the living room and front porch. We definitely will book again. We are already planning our next visit.

Carmel family trip

The house is great for a family. Kids loved the loft bedrooms. Views are spectacular. Great house in an excellent location. It is in carmel between big sur and monterey. 10 min from carmel by sea and pebble beach/17 mile. Point lobos very close. Hosts were responsive. Highly recommend

Peaceful and Comfortable

The view will settle all worries. Check in was smooth with GREAT communication! Comfy beds and bedding, towels and bathrooms well done, Kitchen and coffee bar awesome! Bring a fly swatter as bugs fly into the house as you try to cool it down by opening things up. Bring slippers and honor this No Shoe home! We loved it here and plan to return! PS The loft areas are bigger than we imagined. There are regular stairs up to them and they are roomy....just short ceilings. Home host/owner is very nice and accommodating and seemed honestly interested in making sure our stay went well.

Beautiful views, attentive hosts.

We enjoyed two fabulous days and nights at Peace Cove. The host, Karen, went out of her way to be welcoming, communicative and responsive. The views from the house are as advertised, which is to say mesmerizing. The house was clean and well stocked. Great outdoor spaces. There are two lofts in addition to the two downstairs bedrooms. The lofts have low ceilings and are suitable for younger more mobile guests. They would not be appropriate for most elderly people. The three full bathrooms are all on the main level. The house is adjacent to the Highland Inn which has a full restaurant and is a short walk away. The decor is eclectic and there are two large living rooms.

Excellent stay - exceeded expectations

We rented this property for a golf trip and couldn’t have been happier. The views are amazing and the access to the Hyatt is perfect. The property itself is immaculate and unique. I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

One of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in!!

We loved staying at Peace Cove! Amazing beautiful house in the perfect location for exploring the area. House had everything we needed for our stay. Amazing views to watch the sunsets and the fire pit was lovely in the evenings. We would definitely recommend.

Perfect for us

The location is perfect for us, just a couple of minutes south of Carmel. It is close enough to Carmel to allow you to easily access all the sites and restaurants, but far enough away to feel isolated from all the crowds and traffic. The house has amazing views, a dining room that easily seats 8, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a nice bbq grille and plenty of deck space. We have returned to this house every year for 5 years now and are looking forward to another stay next year.

Beautiful getaway location!

My family stayed here for our wedding weekend and we couldn't have wished for a better location. It's such a cozy quaint spot with beautiful views. The hosts were very responsive and communicative throughout our stay!

Beautiful view getaway

The home was more than what we expected! Hidden treasures everywhere. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for most of the trip. We had one beautiful day we took advantage of and did the 17 mile drive, had lunch at Pebble Beach and put our toes in the sand at Carmel beach. Ended the day by the fire at this beautiful home listening to the ocean, seals and star gazing. On our way out, we did the state park. It was amazing.

Fun, whimsical, and beautiful house!

Our family group had a great weekend at this spacious and rustic house. The location was awesome, overlooking the coast and Point Lobos, and the house and grounds were very spacious, making it easy to relax. Lots of fun and quirky details and objects around the house. Well stocked kitchen if you want to cook.

Great house but not great communication

This place is in a beautiful location and the house itself is clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and outside fire pit was lovely. My only real problem with this place is that I accidentally left some of my things at the house after checkout, I repeatedly called Karen and stayed in Monterey for four hours to try and retrieve my things, but the owner pretty much ghosted me. It’s my fault I missed something, but the hosts were not communicative which is not ideal for a vrbo rental.

This property was wonderful. It was in a great location for our time in the Monterey Bay/Carmel area. The house was well-appointed, very comfortable, and suited the needs of our 7-person group very well. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

A completely wonderful stay!

We had an amazing time at Peace Cove! We were a group of old friends and some of us are new mothers - it was so nice to reconnect and relax away from it all. The space was more than accommodating for us, we had plenty of living space and sleeping areas. The property is so beautiful and we enjoyed all the little porches and patios surrounding the house and the wildflowers. We also loved the location! Tucked away right by the Hyatt Highlands and has an ocean view. Hard to beat! The space aside, Karen is such a warm and lovely host! It felt like we were renting from a dear friend. She was very communicative every step of the way with recommendations, tips and was readily available if anything came up. She prepared such a generous welcome basket for our group and it was so thoughtful and appreciated! We felt so at home. We will be back!!

Fantastic family celebration❣️

This house was so much better than we had expected! The views were stunning, the gardens, so fun to explore, the location, easy to get to, and the hosts were so welcoming. Everything we could have wanted was provided for. We had one year-old four-year-old for adults in their 30s and grandpa and grandma. They were just so many perfect touches in this house to make our stay comfortable and easy. Would definitely come again.

Choose Peace Cove for an EPIC Retreat

We WILL be back! Such a wonderful, peaceful, serene location. It was a girls retreat, for six childhood friends from Monterey, who are now in our 60's. Some are still local, others traveled from out of town, and even out of state for this reunion. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect location. Peace Cove gave us monarch viewing, whale watching, and hawk sightings from the expansive views out the enormous living room windows. We stayed in, cooked meals and ate at each dining table, indoors and out. We even made s'mores (a special treat from the host) around the lovely firepit. Looking for a place to unwind, relax and enjoy? ... this is the place for you! Plus dining and hiking is just a short drive away ... of which we did both! We WILL be back. The house, the location, the hosts ... were the best!

Magical home with breathtaking views

Beautiful home!

Everything was perfect with photos and descriptions accurate. Kitchen had everything you could need and owner left a welcome basket of goodies. Communication was easy, would definitely recommend this home for a stay.

Having grown up on the French Riviera, and the California Coast, we both have a deep love for the ocean and nature. On a short vacation & exploration, while driving past Carmel on the way to Big Sur, we both fell in love with the Carmel Highlands. It was our dream place - plain & simple. Somehow the magic of this area - it is magical you will see - is healing and simply deeply moving. The coast just south of Carmel is pristine and for us, the most beautiful place on earth! When we found Peace Cove, we could see that the house was in need of work, however we loved the site, its orientation, and with the background sound of waves and distant seals barking, we imagined the stone path and secret garden we would create. Hummingbirds came close and hovered near us, the Monarchs flew around us, the giant squirrel that lived in the canyon visited, the crows observed us from the giant pine tree & oak. We felt we had a welcoming party! For us, there is something deeply healing about the area in general and this place in particular. You can be still, you can think more clearly, you can feel deeply, and you can leave feeling filled with light and pure energy..
