Just OK

It was just OK - not great, not bad. Day 1 we had to buy pot holders, sponge, dish liquid dishwasher pods & tin foil. None were available. Patio screen was torn in 2 places. Notified agent ("high winds"). However a full roll of screen was in the corner of the patio. Hadn't been installed though there wasn't a recent rental. Took a folding chair from the patio to use as a night table. Only 2 stools for the island (low and uncomfortable). On the plus side, it was clean and the location and community amenities are fantastic. We had previously stayed in the other half of the duplex (same layout, MUCH nicer and better kept) and will hold out for the other side next time.

Would definitely stay here again.

The property is better than the pictures allow. The bedrooms are very spacious with comfortable mattresses and linens. Plenty of storage in both rooms. The kitchen has a massive countertop that allowed our family of four to spread out and eat our home cooked fresh catch. Only 2 stools to sit on though. The couch is very comfortable and my teenage son fell asleep on it many nights. The artifical grass out back was more comfortable on bare feet than stone or wood in the heat. Luckily for us no one rented the ajoining unit so we didn't have to share the dock or sit out back near other guests. It was about a half mile walk to the Cabana Club if you choose to walk. Oh and very importantly, the AC worked amazingly in the heat!

Great View

The property was in an excellent location and had a great view. It was as pictured. There were a lot of rules about trash and fines if not followed plus no recycling bin, which was a little annoying. The kitchen is also not well stocked with utensils, sponges etc. from what I am used to with other rentals. Overall though it was a very enjoyable place to stay.

Nice place at good price point

Great views towards the water with no one behind. The furnishing, kitchen and beds were adequate for our 10 day stay. We got hit with day long 10inch rain fall. Place next to us got "wet" but we were good. The light switches location seemed odd but we got used .. day before we were leaving. If back in the keys, I would rent it again. Thx.

Great location beautiful place

The property is right on the bay. Fishing off the dock was very enjoyable. Loved the screen covered linai for night time relaxing. Loved the cabana club. We rode bikes up there every day for some pool and beach time. The property manager was awesome. She responded to us quickly.

A little piece of Paradise

Lovely half duplex unit on Sadowski Causeway. Had everything we needed and some things we didnt. Great setting with waterfront access at the rear and a great sunset view from the front. Saw dolphins and manatee in the bay at the rear, so great for wildlife spotting too

Wonderful location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location and ease of access to the Atlantic and Gulf made this house perfect for getting on the water quickly. We also loved the convenience of the marina for fuel and ice. Close to many wonderful restaurants!

Inside Great, Outside Not So Much

The pictures show the inside of the unit beautifully and accurately. It was clean and just as pictured. However, what is missing is a picture of the front of the building. This would show that there is really only room for ONE car to park at #22. The electrical box is on that side, so no room for another car. Also, the unit is right on the Causeway, not in a neighborhood. We never did find the Cabana Club, as no address was given with the check-in instructions. Not a unit for anyone with decreased mobility or dog-walkers as no safe walking on the unit side of the road and NO grass anywhere near it.

Great duplex on the water…nice!

The property manager, Katie, and her husband, responded very quickly to fix a couple minor issues at the unit we experienced our first day…Bravo to them. The unit is very well equipped, with lots of extra towels and beach towels. One thing about the living room area is that there is no place to put a drink, like a coffee table or a sofa end table. We got creative and put a cutting board on one of the bar stools. Also, bring bug spray!! My wife and I got slaughtered by some no noseeums the first night so fast, we were hit dozens of times before we even realized it.

Excellent!

The location is great by water and land! Boat ramp and trailer parking very close to property, grocery stores close, and easy ocean access to either side. The house has excellent sunrise views from the screened in back porch. The inside is set up to be very accommodating to families including small children. This property was great for our group of adults and provided everything we needed.

Family of four

This was a awesome property for our family! My kids loved the bunk beds. My husband and I both slept very well in the king size bed. The property was very clean and the perfect amount of space for our family. We enjoyed the large couch to watch a family movie before bed. The Kitchen was well stocked with pans and pots for cooking for our family. There was a broken can opener, but the property manager offered to reimburse me if I purchased one, or to drop one off for us. She was very responsive and helpful! We enjoyed the screened porch and the outdoor area for watching the sun come up or watching the manatees play and taking in the breeze in the late afternoon. The fishing off the dock was a highly light for my son! We rented a boat for a couple of days and kept it at the dock at the house. It was so nice to walk out and hop on the boat as we wanted. The sunset was beautiful to watch while walking along the causeway across the street from the house. You can also go down to Sunset Park to take it in. We enjoyed using the cabana club. They had a small beach the kids could play at and a nice pool to swim in, but they ask the kids not to splash too much and bring floats (life jackets and lil kids’ floatation devices needed for safety are fine). They had a great snack shop and bar and good food. When you vacation here, be ready to make fast friends with the neighbors and people at the pool. You do share the dock, and it was lovely to be able to chat with other families and share experiences. We had an absolute blast and look forward to another family trip here soon.

Pretty much paradise

Little things like the sinks being hooked up backwards... But on the whole almost perfect. Verry clean!

Great condo!

The condo was the perfect size and had a lot to offer as far as view from the dock we watched dolphins several mornings! Provided all of the utensils , dishes,towels and other necessities AC works great! When we arrived the grill that was on site was rusted on the legs but the property manager replaced it promptly ! The pantry door was not attached and we ended up putting it in the closet as well a strange odor seemed to come from the kitchen sink when we first arrived and snuck back in every now and then. I would recommend an area rug around the couch to prevent debris from getting onto the furniture and a small vacuum for clean up . The king size bed was extremely comfortable. Over all the experience was amazing as we enjoyed time both in Key Colony and had access to all the keys with in a reasonable distance Beware if you are looking for beaches this is not the best location but excellent for fishing and snorkeling !

Needs up keep

Door broken hinge, grill unable to use two legs rusted thru, two bikes had 4 flats. Just didn’t appear that the owner had been there for awhile to keep the place up. Little things missing like beach chairs a cooler, got to keep in mind a person flying in can’t bring that kind of stuff.

Perfect location

This house in KCB has an amazing view on a lake close to the ocean. No neighbors opposite if you and a wonderful sunrise in the morning. It is close to Marathon with alll the shops and restaurants you need. BTW The Fish Company is a stonethrow away. Wonderful place to eat. The kitchen is mostly filled with plastic dishes and tableware. There are only two coffee mugs. Also the amount of towels is sober. In the announcement they said there were two bycicles, yes one adult and one child both with flat tires. Calling the land lady they will bring rentals. The cleaning was average except the toilets, they were dirty. We spend two weeks in the house. Had a wonderful time. Manatees came along and one afternoon there were even three to say hello. Wonderful! Do we come back here, yes. All and all a great place to stay.

Great half duplex with awesome views.

The house is half duplex, pictures are exactly what you get. Backyard on the water is great, you can kayak, fish, park your boat. Weather was perfect and we spent most time outside. Location is very convenient to get to the Cabana club ( walk) or to the highway for groceries etc. Views of open water, sunrises could not be better. A few things to note to the host. Would be great to have some cleaning supplies. Staying a week guests may want to wash clothes, clean the floors, but there are no supplies for that. I found only dry swiper, but bottle for floor spray was empty. Having things like washing machine detergent, garbage bags, Windex, dishwasher detergent would help guests keep the house clean. No one wants to go buy full jug of detergent or case of garbage bags to use a few.

Quarky but cute

The unit could've been cleaner. Upon arrival the guest bed had hair from a women and a dog. The bicycles are inoperable. Both have flat tires and the black ones chain needs grease badly. The kitchen is very small!! We had to squeeze in and out when making breakfast and when someone needs a cup of coffee. Overall it's a nice updated unit. The dock and porch are very nice. Would stay again.

Great Property, Location and Ammenities

We manage and own many vacation rentals in Texas so our expectations are very high! The home was exactly as advertised. The master bedroom was large and bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The dock was perfect for our 32 ft Century Center Console. Spent so much time on the patio and dock enjoying the wonderful views and fishing. Neighbors were fantastic! Host promptly replied to our questions during booking and during stay. Even gave us a later check-out since there was not a arriving guest on the day of our departure. We will be back soon!!!
