Long weekend away

Had a family reunion that we turned into a long weekend with great weather. We enjoyed Sunny Isles and an evening in Miami. Nice resort, beautiful beach, good location.

Great vacation

We have really enjoyed our stay in Marenas. Resort. The apartment is very comfortable, well equipped and ideally fits for the needs of our family. The second bedroom is in fact a separate room with its own bathroom, balcony and other amenities like TV, Coffee Machine, etc. Our 20 years old son liked to have some privacy being on vacation with the family. What we’ve liked most of all in the apartment is a fantastic ocean view. Two glass walls in every room overlook the ocean what is incredible. The direct access to the beach with free sunbeds, umbrellas and towels is also very valuable. The owner replied to any of our requests within 10 minutes. We could ask anything we need through reception at any time. Hope to come back sometime.

A 21st Birthday Celebration in Paradise

Let me just share that our amazing experience started way before our arrival at the property. We came to Miami to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday and wanted to created a special experience for our daughter upon our arrival. From the moment of sharing the details of our trip with our wonderful host Ritta, she took the word hospitality to the highest level by preparing the apartment with some special added birthday touches prior to our arrival. Thank you Ritta! The property is as described, and on beautiful spot in Sunny Isles, overlooking the beach and the ocean. Our days involved waking up to a beautiful sun rise, enjoying breakfast in the comfort of our own apartment, visiting the beach for a few hours, shopping, dinner... and repeat for 7 days! Simply amazing! We are are already looking forward to our next stay with Ritta.

Good vacation spot but some issues

We stayed here for two full weeks and overall enjoyed our time. The unit (it’s actually two conjoined units) are inside a resort hotel and are spacious and comfortable. The views from the main unit is right over the ocean and is absolutely breathtaking!There were a lot of things that were good here:- easy beach access- a lot of space - enough for the 6 of us - comfortable beds and good bathrooms- huge balconies with amazing views- good AC and great soundproof windows- Ritta is a good communicator and all of our ongoing issues were addressed quickly and super efficiently - thank you!But there were some big and small issues- the biggest issue is noise from a long term construction next door. It starts at 7am and goes until 5 on weekdays. It makes it impossible to be on the balcony of the smaller unit or to keep the windows open without very loud construction noise filling the apartment. Unfortunately this isn’t clearly disclosed nor transparently communicated in advance but if you read reviews of other properties in the resort, you can see how big of an issue this can be. We dealt with it by keeping the windows closed and trying to be on the beach during the day. Thankfully, the windows are amazing and do keep out about 98% of the noise. - though the kitchen is listed as fully stocked, it is missing items that are key for cooking. We ended up buying several things to make it possible to cook multiple meals a day. The dishwasher is also not working properly.

Poor COVID-19 protocols, wouldn’t come back

The location is great, condo has a wonderful view of the ocean and the hotel overall is decent. Nevertheless, our experience was far from great: - Refrigerator would not work and took several hours for them to fix it. - No internet for half the time of our stay. Wifi wouldn’t work and we had to get really angry before they sent a router to improve the signal. - Oven and microwave were smelly and overall cleaning was poor, furniture and tables needing maintenance. - Hotel staff do not encourage the use of masks and don’t worry much about keeping common spaces properly aired. - Beach staff not caring about keeping chairs at a safe social distance and insisted on cramming everybody together even though the available space for the hotel’s beach was plenty. When we pointed this out politely, we received a very angry and unreasonable answer from staff. - With proper maintenance and better protocols, this would definitely be a great place to stay.

Excellent view and area

We had a great experience except for trivial issue with door locks. Great area views and beach. Needs some updating, but wouldn’t complain.

We loved our vacation! Location was safe and fun for my family with teens. Kitchen could be better stocked, needed a blender. We will return!

Good area but not a great building

Paid for the property without having been able to speak to the property manager. The pictures were not like advertised. Apartment was older and not so clean. Kitchen was not stocked properly. No sun at the beach after 1:30. I was busy moving chairs and towels down the beach so I could sit in the sun. Staff was very friendly though. Pool was awful and in need of upkeep and never in the sun. Beach staff very nice.

AWFUL

The pictures posted is not the exact unit the 2nd in not the same unit it’s across the adjoining hallway . No front entrance had to enter thru the parking garage were the large garage containers are stunk so bad. The pool was a joke a kiddy pool, The staff not pleasant. I am from Michigan and me my wife get away once a month for a weekend to the Ft lauderdale area stayed at dozen resorts this by far was the worst. Was so bad I left a day early to move to the marroitt
