Great Place ! Mediterranea the best!

About 7 th time staying at Mediterranea. Best place in Destin area to stay with private beach and close to shopping and restaurants.

Great place to stay

We loved this condo and will definately be back. The pool and hot tub are a great back up or end to the day. The condo itself is beautiful with great views.

Great location with a spectacular view of the gulf as you look out the windows and from the balcony

This rental is high demand for many reasons. Location, access to a private beach, within short walking distance, the well kept grounds, as well a 3 bedroom condo. Enjoyed our stay

Great Beach Vacation

Ocean Reef management were great. They ensured we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend them. We’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful Condo!

Beautiful, spacious condo. Great beach access. Everything was perfect. If I had to list any negatives, it would be that the pool temperature be a bit cooler. That’s all. Everything else was perfect!

Access to beach

Awesome. Need a ramp for handicapped people, wagons & baby strollers to access the beach. Watched & helped others get down stairs to beach

Great location, but…

Beautiful location but condo needs updating. The pool is definitely not heated in the winter. The elevator went out a few times as well as the hot tub.

Pretty good

Love the location. This unit is not as “perfect” as others in the building. Had 2 pieces of broken furniture when we arrived and drapes in one bedroom seem to have been handled with chocolate hands. Paint needs to be touched up on woodwork for sure but it’s still a beautiful unit. Does need better outdoor furniture on balconies

Awesome Stay

We have stayed at the Mediterranean for years! We have never stayed in this unit but it was absolutely perfect, especially for the 3 bedrooms and amazing views. We used the balcony probably more than any other area of the condo. Dolphins morning and afternoon, plenty of space for 8 people, including 3 kids. We will stay again!

Wonderful place to stay!

501A was the perfect place for our family of five! Love the beautiful ocean views and space that this place offered! We enjoyed the large dining area for eating together and playing games in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we were even able to prepare crab legs one night! The location was perfect! We would most definitely stay here again!

Stay in May

The location is great and the view from the property is breathtaking but I was disappointed in the cleanliness. Dirty underwear were found in the drawers from previous guests. This made me feel uneasy about the cleaning process. The pots and pans were old and so were the cooking utensils. The property could use a retouch of paint and the throw pillows had stains on them and they living room chairs were dirty and stained. This property needs some TLC.

Great location. Did not feel clean.

We've stayed at the Mediterranea for close to 10 years, and this was one of the most disappointing experiences we've had. First... There were good points. WiFi and AC worked great. Good floor plan & location. Check in was super easy. Frig in the master bedroom is a nice extra. Ocean Reef responded to our maintenance issues and were very nice. However, there were not so good points. The unit was not clean. The floors were dirty; baseboards were filthy; food left under furniture; bathroom rugs weren't clean; big dust balls in the corners. It just didn't "feel" clean, and this is a deal breaker for us as far as returning. When we arrived there was a plunger sitting in the master bathroom sink with a bunch of nasty hair and black gunk in the sink. The stopper was upside down on the counter, and it was nasty too. (Ocean Reef did come the next day and take care of this, but this should never happen.) The unit has definitely been used alot. The owners really need to paint. The master bedroom mattress is worn out. The shower head in the master bath needs updating. Faucet in the kitchen is worn out and needs replacing. Just lots of little things that could be done to update it and give it a nice facelift. We won't return to this unit, but we will return to the Mediterranea.

Great family get away.

This was our second Thanksgiving at the beach. Both times were at the Mediterranea, but this was the first time in this unit. We haven’t found anywhere better than the Mediterranean We came with extended family this trip including 6 adults and 5 children under the age of 9. The unit had plenty of room for all. Wonderful experience.

Awesome unit location and complex

This is my 3rd year staying at the Mediterranea. The pluses are the location, small complex (4 floors) with no crowds to fight, large lagoon pool, easy beach access and underground parking. The unit is well positioned as an end unit facing east. I personally like to not have to deal with afternoon sun. The unit is comfortable and not too dated. Had an issue with cable TV and internet. It was thought to be and indeed turned out to be a system wide problem but Ocean Reef management quickly sent a representative to double check. They are an organized management company with easy check-in instructions that don't involve you going to a central office. Down side is all the cookware is in dire need of replacement. If you like to cook than be prepared to struggle. I expected higher quality kitchen equipment. Additionally, chef knives are dangerously dull and need resharpening.
