Enjoy this breathtaking fully equipped home over looking Waipio Valley up close in this 4 bedroom, 2 bath and outside shower home with incredible views. There are plenty of rooms and views for a family or group of friends to experience the lush and tropical surroundings. You can swim, surf, boggie board or picnic at at any beach on the Big Island.
Alternatively you can see Maui, whales, dolphins and rainbows from your very private lanai or just fall asleep in the hammock to ocean sounds of waves below. We are now the closest VRBO location to Waipio Valley due to recent valley access changes. (4X4 access to none residents limited now, or up in the air, to the valley but normal vehicle rental works for the home).

Blissful and Magic

Beautiful view of Waipio Valley, very comfortable house. Kitchen has every appliance you can wish for. The caretakers are really caring and made our stay really pleasant and they are very responsive.Mahalo for making our magic stay even more blissful.

Wow! Just wow! This property is amazing! The pictures do not begin to show the beauty of the view from this house! The grounds are meticulously kept! The fruit trees and plants, we had planned on going back to the botanical gardens outside of Hilo but there was no need, everything was growing right there! Is the House a little dated yes and I was a little uncomfortable with no coverings on the windows but there truly is no one else around. The house was super clean and the AC kept it cool which is what my biggest issue in booking was! The Host Cemille and Derrick are absolutely amazing! Fresh fruit every time we saw them! So nice and helpful! We hope to be back very soon!

This property had the best view on the whole island! It was almost too good to be true. This is your sign to stop searching, and just book this place! You do need a jeep or truck with big tires to get to the property and you have to drive very slow for the last few minutes of the journey, but it’s totally worth it. All of the plants and flowers and fruit trees were so beautiful! The rooms are a little outdated, but still very accommodating. Everything that we needed was there. Camile and her husband live downstairs and also manage the property so are there if you need anything. They are wonderful people. We truly enjoyed talking with them everyday and appreciate the fresh fruit that she brought us. Hope we get the opportunity to return one day!

Family friendly spring break location

My husband and I stayed here years ago for our anniversary and loved it so much, we came back! We brought our family and some friends and their kids. It was a great set up for all of us. And lovely location! Breathtaking views of the valley and the ability to easily get to the quaint town of Honoka’a. We specifically chose this location so we could have a central spot to come back to after exploring parts of the northern area of the island. Highly recommend!

Great location. We wanted seclusion and it did not disappoint. I see some reviews complaining about the road to the house but that is what I loved. The connecting road is a little steep and bumpy but to get away from the crowds or tourists' areas, I can put up with a little rough road. We rented a Jeep because we planned on going to hard-to-reach beaches, etc., and did not have any problems. I do have to mention that the description of the property is not correct on the Vrbo page. The very first words in the listing says, "Entire house", which is not entirely true. There are other people that live in the house on the first level. However, the care takers that live there are very nice people and helpful. They were helpful in getting us in the house because the door lock code that was sent to us was wrong/old. In addition, the book of instructions inside the house also has an expired code. These are all minor things that did not cramp our style at all.Thanks

Most relaxing time on the island yet!

Lovely place, amazing view. Property manager couldn’t have been nicer. We spent our days exploring the island, resting, and enjoying the lovely lanai. Perfect.

Relaxation with the perfect view.

The two words that describe this property best are Beautiful and Relaxing. The view is spectacular and is as described and shown, but even better in person. There is lots of indoor and outdoor space with comfortable furnishings. The outdoor shower is amazing, wish I could have brought it home with me. Definitely would stay here again.

Fantastic property, wonderful vacation home.

We truly enjoyed our weeklong stay at this house. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The view was incredible, and the house was clean and well stocked. We all especially enjoyed the outdoor shower which has the same incredible view. :) We would stay here again for sure.

Outstanding Waipio location

Great stay. Everything we needed for a family of 6 was there, including water boards and coolers for the beach. Derrick was very helpful. The views of the valley and the ocean were unbelievable. Ice maker did not work, but we bought ice to get us through. I feel the directions to get to the house could be clearer.

Bucket List Stay

Impossible to describe the views and the surroundings at this unique home. Plenty of room, full kitchen, amazing outdoor shower, beautiful well appointed home. And - you sleep in a rainforest with this unbelievable view and sounds and stars at night that are just unmatched -- and still an hour from Big Island beaches. Honokaa is a great little town 15 min away. Property managers are fantastic. Once in a lifetime kind of stay.

Peace and Beauty

Comfortable spacious home with covered lanai that runs the full length of the house. We spent most of our time outside absorbing this unspoiled view that other tourists just fly by in a helicopter. Nothing compares.

Amazing

Our stay was so phenomenal that I don’t know how to keep it short. The view is amazing, you can’t believe it is your view for your stay. The house was spotless, everything we needed was here. The beds were comfy, you can sleep with the patio doors open all night and listen to nature. The host was over the top wonderful! She went out of her way to make our stay perfect. She knows all she helped us with and we thank her for making our trip fantastic. We would give her 10 stars if possible! Aloha for the wonderful week!

Memorable stay

I wanted to find a nature-friendly stay for my family of 6 adults and there could not have been a better place. Just staying in the house was a blissful experience and we had a 7 passenger van (not a 4. wheel drive) and when we put it on low gear it was not a problem getting in and out the house altho there was a bit of an angle. Noah is amazing ! knows so much about the surroundings and genuine appreciation for the nature. Cemile was super helpful ! she was always accessible and super friendly. Everything was perfect about the trip !!! Im still dreaming of this place !!!

Wonderful location

Great location with beautiful views. It may have been a misunderstanding on my part, but I was not aware that we were renting a shared house. Thankfully the host that lived downstairs was super kind and helpful when we had questions on where to find things. There were ample fans to cool you off, a very spacious kitchen, beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was a very relaxing, quiet area. There was no cell phone service with our Verizon but the house-wifi saved us! One thing that stuck out to me was a Britta water pitcher so you can just fill your reusable water bottles with filtered water vs buying bottles so that was a very nice touch. The yard is gorgeous with lots of tropical plants to look at.

Rarely is something better than advertised.

The Waipio Valley house exceeded our expectations. Yes, the house is comfortable and well equipped, but pictures and words can’t convey the view from the lanai of the Valley’s cliff walls and black sand beach, and the distant (but not too distant) sounds of waves crashing in the background with tropical bird and frog song in foreground. The outdoor shower off the the master bedroom has the same view and soundtrack. A particularly spectacular place on an island full of spectacular places. Also, if you’re planning on seeing as much of the Big Island as possible during your stay (but don’t want to keep moving your lodging) the Waipio Valley House’s location makes the west and east coasts accessible without spending too much time in the car.

A view from heaven and friendly host

Camille (Jamille) provided us with variety of fruit that we cannot buy on mainland USA. Also, she is friendly and helping. The views are not from earth. Plenty towels and supplies. The entry way is dirt road, only one lane and uphill in the valley. Requires good tires and powerful engine if carrying many people. Drive slow to be safe. The house is old; has no AC but fans are sufficient as the house is on hilltop and weather is cooler. There is a fruit stand very nearby that sells fruit that were made for angels.

Married 33 years Dan and Janet bought the property with Dan's brother John and wife Lori. Dan sold a home on Kauai at a golf course for this property with a beautiful view into the Majestic Waipi'o Valley and the ocean.
