Located on the Hamakua coast in the historical village of Paauhau, this quaint cottage offers incredible ocean views, privacy and romance. Built on the edge of a large gulch with expansive views of greenery leading into the blue ocean it takes one's breath away. Large covered lanai (deck) with comfortable seating and an outside grill. Inside you have a full bathroom with generous tiled shower, comfortable kitchenette with full sink and counter, mini fridge, full-sized bed, twin daybed, and large flat screen T.V. Cable and wi-fi is included.

What an amazing place!! The view is spectacular and the location is perfect for just about everything on the northeast side of the island. Jim is a wonderful host and a lot of fun. We will certainly stay again when we return.

The hosts were wonderful and the ohana (cabin) had a great location, great ocean view, and was an excellent base to explore the northern half of the big island.

We enjoyed staying here. It’s very simple and was a great value. Was concerned about not having A/C but being right off the ocean, there was always a breeze to keep it comfortable. The view from the deck is very nice for enjoying coffee in the morning. There is a small hill you have to go up; wasn’t an issue at all for us. There is a small town very close with a few restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was clean and comfortable, very serene and quiet area with beautiful views. The host were readily available for anything we needed yet we’re not intrusive to our relaxation. The area does not have much choices for food or shopping as most stores are closed for most of the day but in 15 minutes you’re in Waimea where you can find anything come prepared to relax and enjoy peacefulness.

Another great stay at this studio cabin. The cabin sits on a small hill. The lanai looks out over the owner’s beautiful yard, in the distance is a pasture with cows and then, the Pacific Ocean. We have seen many barges, a few sailboats and cruise ships during our stays here. Close to Honokaa,

Very friendly hosts. Fridge and small cooktop outside on the lanai was different for us, but work well enough. Nice view. Good jumping off point for that part of the island. Amenities were as described and all worked.
