The location was great, near a great coffee bar and general store. The area is gorgeous with many short walks nearby down to the river. The hosts directions, check in, and parking were all as expected. We did have some bug bites one morning and the host gave us some clean linens which helped a lot. Good communication with the host and helpful. We would likely stay here again when back in the area. Thanks! Maureen

We loved this cozy unit in a GREAT little town. We enjoyed chatting with the locals while having delicious breakfast at the local coffee shop and exploring the town's history. It was a great home base from which to explore the local area. We had great communication from host and the unit was great for our needs.

There is a kitchen however when turning on the oven the fire alarms went off same for the toaster. We replaced the coffee pot as the one provided did not work. We have stayed here before and had great experiences maybe the cleaning crew or owners have changed… We really couldn’t sit outside the wasp’s were terrible (there was a nest in the upstairs siding and they were building a nest in the furniture) The location is great. We were busy and didn’t spend a lot of time in the apartment but if we were there to enjoy the space I would have been disappointed.

Week in Marine on St. Croix

The location was perfect for a full week of family visits and activities. The property certainly shows its age, but it was functional and adequate for our needs. We enjoyed the character of the building.

Minnesota Retreat

Great property perfect if you want to visit Scandia, Marine, Stillwater. This was our second stay snd we will return.

A perfect spot for me!

The hosts are amazing & their little place is too. Great location, quiet, a perfect spot for what I needed for a week. The place was clean, well furnished (cute too!), many comforts of home. I needed a couple of things during my stay and the owner resolved them within a few minutes. I would recommend this to friends, family, anyone looking for a cozy little spot.

Quiet, historic building close to everything in the town of Marine on the St Croix…several dining and gift options, art gallery, library and quaint post office in this river town settled in mid 1800s. The paintings and photographs on the walls of the unit added so much value.

Short Business Stay

Stayed here once before and came back for a short business stay while I was working in the area. Location is again great and close to a fair bit of attractions in the area. Internet is still on the slow side, so for work it wasn’t the best. But, that’s totally fine! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient place to stay in the area.

Clean, quiet, safe, easy!

David is a wonderful host that’s there if you need him but doesn’t feel the need to be involved with more than you require. We loved getting to check in to such a nice, calm, safe, and clean space for almost 7 weeks! We will be back and we will be sending others their way!

Relaxing vacation

very roomy, quiet ,comfortable,well stocked ,folks were so friendly .Loved the country store ,coffee shop ,chocolate store ,pizza outdoors at the bar and grill .Everything you would want was in walking distance .Sat on patio to have my morning coffee.Enjoyed the rabbit coming every morning for a visit .I would highly recommend this to others,so relaxing .

It's okay

To start, the location is amazing and the hosts seemed really friendly and nice. Staying in the old school house sounded cool but was less charming than I thought it would be. The smell in the hallway is terrible, the beds were uncomfortable, there were lots of little bugs in the room (ants, spiders, beetles), and the floors were dirty. Dirty enough that we all ended up wearing sandals in the room. We enjoyed our time but probably wouldn't stay again.

The exterior was pretty run down looking. The lock box was challenging to open and close. The interior was as it looks in the pictures but older with warped floors and not very well maintained. Musty smell throughout the building. Dishes were not clean and there were some bugs on them. Great location if you don't mind a short drive to get where you want to go. Marine on St. Croix is a beautiful little town.

Great location close to Marine on St Croix downtown. Building is very old with A/C wall unit. Kitchen well supplied with tools. Free parking in back and reasonable checkin/out times.

Appreciate that all was ready.

Very comfortable and convenient to my family and yet easy to step away and not be under foot. Glad to have the refrigerator as the turkey stayed there until Thanksgiving day. Looking forward to my next visit in a couple weeks.

Quiet restful location

Easy to find and close to many beautiful hikes, shopping, as well as friends. Very quiet and walking distance to some excellent walleye at Brookside

Renter beware~stay away from this property.

The property is dated, dirty, and not representative of the pictures on VRBO. Aside from a place to sleep, the space in uncomfortable, the bathroom was dirty, and the shower was like a power-washer~~had to strategically move in fear of losing a nip. My husband and I also came home with bites from all over our bodies, I can't confirm bedbugs, but it was from the bed. The TV did not work, and the wifi was horrible. The only thing that this place has to offer is the cute little town, Marine on the St. Croix. We spent way to much for three nights, which was a rip-off, I asked the owner for a small refund, and they will not respond. My family told me I could never choose a location again.
