Unwind in McHenry at this carefully designed house up on the hill made for privacy and hanging out. This adorable property features 3 bedrooms: 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 1 set of two bunk beds & 1 twin, a portable twin bed, and a portable pack and play. With 1 full bathroom in the first bedroom and a second full bathroom in the hallway for the other two bedrooms to share, you will find a shower/tub combo and all the amenities you need to make your packing light and trip enjoyable. We provide linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner, soap, qtips, makeup wipes, hair dryer, straightener, coffee, kcups, etc.. This terrific house also offers a cozy bohemian vibe to help you fully embrace the seclusion of the location and being in the woods/pines near the lake. We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our house while playing with the games we've provided, reading a book, having a fire outside or enjoying the gazebo.

Great lil cottage in the woods! Super quiet. Great yard for our puppers! Would stay again. Host was quick to respond when messaged about a very minor issue.

A well appointed house in a great location - you have some privacy but ear enough deep creek. We will be back! Very family friendly in the details.

Overall, a very nice place to stay. Very clean. Quiet. There are other houses nearby, but I never saw anyone coming or going. The only suggestion I would make for the host is some window AC units. The humidity was very high and unrelenting during our stay which made it hard to get good sleep. Each room has a small ceiling fan, but fans don't do much for humidity. Again, it was clean, quiet, nicely decorated with thoughtful details. I recommend it, just be mindful of the AC situation if it's something you need for your health or comfort.

Hi Scott thank you for your review and we apologize we couldn’t give you a 10/10 stay. This is our first summer owning this home and all other homes in the community are also without A/C so we thought we had some time to get it installed as we know many guests do prefer it, including ourselves. It is in the plans and we will be complete with a new system come next summer. Thanks

I took my kids snowboarding to wisp and stayed here. I've done this a bunch and stayed a lot of different houses in the deep Creek area, and I can say that this is definitely the best one we've stayed at. It's only about 10 minutes from wisp. It was immaculate when we came inside, and it literally had everything you needed. I forgot my toothbrush and they even had new toothbrushes in the bathroom. Plenty of towels, coffee, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms, beds were super comfy, it stayed nice and warm in all the rooms. Really couldn't recommend it enough if you're looking for a place to stay in the deep Creek area.

This place sets the bar high for any other rental. The owners had the most organized and detailed information binder available and were incredibly responsive and attentive. The property was perfect for me, my 2 adult children and dog. All of the little touches (basic condiments, k cups, some toiletries and paper products) were the perfect finishing touches on an already cozy and beautiful place. A fully stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze and the cleanliness of the home was second to none!! We would definitely stay here again!
