New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Experience the serenity of the Outer Banks at this magnificent, waterfront home offering 3,600 square feet of luxurious indoor/outdoor living space. For 2024 new laminate will be updated throughout the top floor of this home.

This executive retreat offers one of the more spacious and elegant great rooms on the sound. Vaulted ceilings, designer furniture, and a well-equipped kitchen ensure opportunities for fantastic meals and relaxing evenings by the sound. Step from the living room to the cantilevered wrap-around sundeck to enjoy the hot tub and the extraordinary panoramic views of Pamlico Sound with stunning evening sunsets. Each of the four bedrooms has a TV, and sweeping water views with a private entrance to the expansive decks.

Situated less than 10 feet from the water with direct sound access, this home is terrific for windsurfing, boating, or swimming. A specially designed, low-water dock with stairs descending into the water, along with under-house locking storage and a grassy rigging area, make windsurfing a pleasure. This home has all the amenities you need for an unforgettable stay!

Please Note: As a barrier island, Hatteras is constantly changing. Beach conditions, dunes, and access points may vary due to erosion, restoration projects, weather, and other environmental factors.

All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
No smoking is permitted anywhere
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

Nice house and great location

The house was as advertised. The kitchen was well equipped which was nice because we like to cook our meals at the beach. The little dock by the sound was perfect for getting out to the sound.

Amazing Sunsets

Best trip to Avon! We loved the spaciousness of the house and the two decks. The location allowed us to paddle board every day. Sunsets were incredible!

Great size, wonderful location! We enjoyed the hot tub and access to the sound with our SUPs and kayaks. Kitchen was well stocked and couches were comfy. Outdoor decks were spacious and great spots for watching sunsets!

The owners have pictured exactly what we found. Great spot, well appointed Home one back from the sound. Excellent sunset views, great crab fishing, easy walk to the beach, and ice cold ac inside when you need it.

Great except cleanliness

All the things you need in the kitchen and great views. The cleaning crew needs to be replaced. It’s pretty dirty.

Absolutely stunning views from the deck even though there was a home in front. We were able to see the bay from both ends. House was clean and comfortable!

The offseason rates for weekly rental and the improvements to the interior 3rd floor- flooring and kitchen appliances- made this house a great deal for viewing the sound at sunset.

Very nice getaway for our growing family.

Ssw upper easy to reat with great communication. The house was awesome. We had a blast. There were 4 generations of us - from 74 to less than 1.

If you rent this home bring toppers forbeds as mattress’s are very uncomfortable.

Roomy. Lots of stairs so be prepared. Views are great. Grandsons enjoyed crabbing.

Had a great time!

The home was in a good location with water access. There is a home directly in the view of the sound but you can see sunsets on either side. House is cozy and plenty of space. We had a great time with family. Homeowners next to us were friendly. Sheets and towels should be better quality.

We have stayed two years in a row. Always clean. Bugs were heavier this year, including inside. That is really the only area for improvement.

Pros/cons

Loved the lay out of the house. Cookware could be updated. Hot tubs jets need cleaned out. The inside tub was broken couldn't use it all week. The dryer took 4 cycles to dry. The outside shower was a plus. Sunsets were beautiful. The doc is like 3 foot deep.

Nice home. Kitchen equipment is eclectic and some things have suffered under Vacasa management. Very impersonal even though the folks at Hatteras Realty are still sweet and friendly, their hands are tied on some issues where they were flexible in the past. If you need special considerations due to medical issues or disabilities, you may want to consider a different company that is still more local. Not all things we’re available that Vacasa promised like toiletries and cleaning items

Great spot

My only complaints about the trip were not involving the home itself. The house is obviously well loved by it's owners and is very clean and fairly well stocked by rental standards. The view from the decks is gorgeous at sunset and I found myself snapping so many photos. The wildlife is abundant in a good way. The fish are practically jumping from the water on the canal (which is very kayak friendly) and there was even an absolutely gorgeous heron greeting us from the dock enjoying his dinner on our arrival home one evening. My only complaints were surrounding the neighbors and as we all know during any vacation in such a densely populated rental village, you never know what you'll get stuck near. The immediate neighbors on the same street were quite respectful and quiet, across the canal is a different story. Even with that the house is built well enough the noises were muffled adequately to still get some sleep. It was a lovely stay!

It was a nice house

None of the pictures showed the house that is directly in the front of the home for rent. Although you could still get a good look at the sound/water. One of the burners on the stove, the front right burner, does not work. The bathroom on the top floor, the door to the bedroom the knob does not work properly. There are many lightbulbs out. The kitchen sink faucet leaks. It would've been nice to know that there is dishwashing soap, a sponge, washing machine detergent, trash bags and toilet paper complimentary. We had brought all those things and it would've been nice to know they were all provided. All in all the house was clean and very nice. They're are 28 steps to the top!
