New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

High Hopes' will be realized when you stay at this lovely four-bedroom, two-bathroom family retreat in Avon. This oceanfront home is situated in a natural, maritime garden providing you a wondrous outdoor setting with easy access to the beach via the boardwalk and in a great location close to local stores and restaurants. South-facing furnished decks will afford you great views of the ocean and a glimpse of the peaceful sound.

High Hopes offers comfortable and pleasing furnishings and decor inside, with a spacious living/dining room combination with a high ceiling and exposed beams. Colorful decorations and wood-paneled walls offer a warm atmosphere and a variety of restful sleeping options are available in the four bedrooms. Enjoy additional views of the ocean from the eight-person dining table or breakfast bar as you feast on delicious seafood or stretch out on one of the comfortable couches in front of the TV. An additional TV, two VCR players, a DVD player, and a stereo/CD player are ready to provide some relaxing indoor entertainment when you need a break from the beach.

Other great amenities at High Hopes include wireless, high-speed internet access for your laptop, ground-level storage and utility room, convenient, covered parking directly beneath the home, and an outdoor charcoal grill. You will also enjoy access to Club Hatteras Pool and Tennis for some additional recreational fun.

Guests have access to our pool at Club Hatteras, located at 41156 Hwy 12, Avon.Pool is typically open Memorial Day through Labor Day - weather permitting and subject to close without notice.

*Oceanfront homes are subject to beach nourishment projects scheduled by individual towns. Ask us about any planned beach nourishment in our area.*

Please Note: As a barrier island, Hatteras is constantly changing. Beach conditions, dunes, and access points may vary due to erosion, restoration projects, weather, and other environmental factors.

We loved our family, pet friendly get away. We enjoyed the traditional beach house feel and the view of the ocean. The location allowed for daily dog walks, beach walks, and quick access to great restaurants and shops.

Beautiful view! It’s picture perfect. We had a turtle nest hatch out front while we were there. The weather was amazing. Ocean Front. A lot of stairs. You can’t have the view without being above the dunes so stairs are a necessary part. My 85 year old mother came with us and she was a trooper but it was a lot. Totally worth it in the end. Exactly what we needed. Would definitely recommend.

Ocean View Day and Night

Great location

Lovely sized house for our family of 5. Great location, easy access to beach and also shopping and restaurants. Home could definitely use maintenance, such as hammering nails that are sticking out and fixing the deck gates. Otherwise it’s a nice little house and a prime location.

The view!

Nothing beats the view! This is our fourth time staying at High Hopes, and I wouldn't stay anywhere but Greenwood Drive. It is so close to everything, but is secluded from the "action". There are some things that I would update, but all-in-all, it's great!

Beach front comfort

We loved this home. It had plenty of room and was furnished with everything we needed. Not a fancy house, but clean and very homey (in a good way), which was perfect because we aren't fancy people. Owner was VERY helpful and pleasant. At first we weren't sent the code to get in, and couldn't find the key to the laundry room. I only mention this to say that the owner was very quick to help us so we had no problems and could enjoy our stay. We would absolutely stay here again.

We rented Beach House and Spindrift for our large family. That they were side-by-side and used the same private walkway was perfect for us. We wold do the same again. We liked the bit of Christian decor. Ocean front; great view of ocean. Quick walk to the beach. Double shower. Many small issues but, the location is perfect

I stayed in this house in 09 and 10 and things have changed very much but, not to the degree of not wanting to return. There are just many maintenance issues that need to be dealt with. When we come back next year I hope it's different because you have one great location. 🏖

HIgh Hopes disappointment

Property is in need of attention. Killed 3 roaches while we were there. Furniture is dirty. Curtains are dirty. Place is "well worn". Will not stay in this location again.
