Nice rental , great location.

We had a fantastic time. The property is right on the beach with a beautiful view. Ample sleeping and kitchen accommodations. The furniture could use some updating. The family had a great time!!

2025 Beach Trip

Great time at Last Mango with the family (kids and elderly parents). House was amazing, and access to shops like Food Lion, Uglie Mugs Coffee House, shops and restaurants was super convenient. Love Avon. Will definitely stay there again!

Beautiful beach views

Beautiful house and a gorgeous view and easy beach access! The pool and the large wrap around decks made The Last Mango a nearly perfect spot.

The house was spacious but old. While the ad stated there had been extensive remodeling that was only evident in the basement game room. Looked brand new! The furnishings in the house were spartan at best. Not a comfortable seat in the house except the couch and setee in the basement. Location was fine. Some dummy put beach sand on the shuffleboard! There was no powder for the board to make it usable.

Perfect for our get away

Location and house were perfect. We had space for everyone and the kids even had their own escape in the finished basement. Gave the adults a bit of a break at times.

Great house- lots of nice bedrooms, each w/en suite bath. Game room and movie room were excellent. Wonderful, large, very clean pool. Very nice, clean hot tub. Perfect location- beautiful sound side views but just a short 10 minute walk to beach. HUGE kitchen, which was great for our party of 10,which included 5 skilled cooks- we never bumped in to each other! Had a fabulous week in this spacious and spotless home. Nice House

We liked the house. Really enjoyed pool but as an oceanfront, really couldn’t see much of ocean. The walk to beach was longer than expected. They need to extend the wood walkway further. Hard climb through deep sand. ( back problems & this kills you) & sand gets extremely hot early!

Stop searching, stay here!

Absolutely wonderful. Clean, adorable, steps from the beach and walking distance to coffee, shopping, and restaurants. Plenty of space to spread out- kids could play the games in the basement while adults enjoyed some quiet conversations on the deck. No matter what time of day we could always find sun or shade out of the wind on one of the many decks- one of our favorite parts of the house! Kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on! Seriously, they were amazing. Lovely ocean sounds could be heard all day and night. Elevated hot tub made for soaking with a lovely view. Stop searching, stay here… it’s perfect.

Nice Space With Room to Improve

The home was laid out well and there was plenty of sleeping accommodations for everyone to be comfortable. The basement is a really nice space! The online description makes it seem like you can walk out from the basement to the pool, but there is no pool entrance - you have to walk around the outside of the house. Not a huge deal, but we were surprised by it. The house was not very clean upon arrival. We sent photos of the issues and they did send a second cleaning crew out, but all they did was make the beds.

Disappointed

Not clean. Not private. The Bch access is right next to the house. Everyone in the neighborhood uses it and passes by the pool. The House next door deck and this one are too close. The hot tub is old and jets don’t work and doesn’t stay hot. The hot tub cover is rotten and particles from it are floating in the tub. The master bed was comfy. But when I went to strip the sheets there was a huge pee or sweat stain on the mattress ( no mattress cover) had I known I wouldn’t have slept there. The furniture in the pictures is different. The couch that is there is cheap fake plastic. Very uncomfortable to hang out on. Overall dissatisfied and would not stay there again. The pictures are very good but totally misleading!!

Home was great, Vacasa not so much

LOVED the home. Well equipped, right on the beach, updated throughout. It is located in a great spot in Avon. Vacasa as a company - not so much. Two MAJOR issues with them. 1. They were doing beach replenishment right in front of the house. We were blocked out of getting to or using the beach access for several days, plus they were doing the work deep into the night (beeping/back up alarms on the backhoes, construction lights etc.). I picked and paid extra for this house specifically to be right on the beach. NO ONE warned us about the scheduled beach replenishment project. If they had, I would have picked another house or another week. 2. We had one of the AC units go out. It took Vacasa over two days to get someone out to look at it. Little to zero updates or communication from them despite repeated calls into their maintenance group. All in all, really put a damper on the whole family vacation. Sooooo, Vacasa and owner, am I getting a refund for paying extra to be right on the beach and not being warned I could not actually use or even get to the beach while I was in the house?

I don’t recommend to families with children

We received a decent amount of rain during our stay. The rain washed all the dirt from the pool deck right into the pool. The midweek pool cleaning was Wednesday. Come 5:30pm, no one had shown up so I called. Vacasa insisted someone was on their way. No one came. I called early Thursday. They told me someone should’ve come yesterday, duh. No one came Thursday either. The hot tub was also disgusting and caused our kids to break out. There were rusty nails all over the deck, a lot of them sticking up. Several cockroach sightings throughout the week. A poor patch job in one of the bedrooms caused part of the ceiling to fall in halfway through or stay. The outdoor shower does not latch from the inside so you need to take a shower with the door open. Not much privacy. The deck where the hot tub is does not have direct access to the pool area without going back into the house and down two flights of stairs. No ideal for kids wanting to have fun going from the pool to the hot tub. Overall, I would not recommend this house unless they put some care into it.

The property was clean and cozy. Comfortable beds. Loved the proximity to the beach and the views of the dunes and ocean. It is a 3 story beach house, so come prepared for stairs. The neighborhood was lovely and the beach was not crowded. 5 minute drive to the supermarket and restaurants. Coffee house at the end of the driveway. We had an excellent stay.
