For a great beachfront experience, choose Hunter Haven. Bring your family to this classic oceanfront home located on Hatteras Island. The south-facing ocean beach even has a gentler slope that the kids will prefer. Your vacation home is an upscale summer retreat with easy access to the beach and the village. You will appreciate the enclosed under-house shower when you return from the beach. Hang out in the open living area which features a cathedral ceiling, warm cypress wood paneling, comfy furniture, a flatscreen smart TV with YouTube streaming, free WiFi, and access to the sundeck. Gaze at postcard views of sea birds, the beach, kite surfers, dolphins, and more. Bring out your inner chef in the full kitchen which opens to the oceanfront dining area. Or throw a little char on your meal with the outdoor grill. Relax in the oceanfront main suite with deck access and a private bath, bedroom two with convenient access to the hall bath, or bedroom three featuring a pyramid bunk and single bed. Hunter Haven is a cozy family house for large groups. If you need a few more bedrooms, this is a cost-effective way to add the extra space you need. The hosts were very communicative and responsive. Check-in was easy and they even texted us to allow for an early check-in. The pool mentioned in the amenities is in Avon and not close by. The home was ideal for our family of four, in size and location - but was not very clean. We had no animals with us however there was dog hair everywhere, even a dog toy under furniture. We had to vacuum the couch because the pillows were covered and although we vacuumed a ton of dog hair up, it was still everywhere. There is a vacuum and broom onsite which was appreciated. I would definitely go back but would allow for time to clean and would bring cleaning supplies.

Lovely cottage

Perfect for our family of four with our dog. Beautiful cottage, easy beach access. The cottage was quaint with books and beach decor, comfy beds and furniture and well-equipped kitchen.

Beautiful house and very clean and right on the water just a tiny walk to the beach. Just a note that you cannot see the water from the deck. The view of the dunes is still beautiful though.

Holiday Getaway

This is the perfect beach cottage. It has a wonderful deck and easy access to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped.

Location to beach and location in the neighborhood are awesome! It has everything anyone needs. Beds are comfy. This is my second time renting the home and not my last. my favorite rental out of 15+ years coming to obx.

Hunter Haven stay

It was a very comfortable place and for the most part clean, we would love to stay again. The only issue was the master Bedroom shower drained very slow and the recliner chairs were broken.
