Observation Point: Prime Soundfront Location with Dock! Spectacular Sunsets!

Located in the popular Brigand's Bay neighborhood in Frisco Village on Hatteras Island, this 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage features a huge soundfront deck with beautiful panoramic views of the Pamlico Sound and unbelievable sunsets. Part of the deck is covered to allow you to enjoy the gorgeous views while keeping cool in the shade.

The 30' long dock is suitable for a shallow draft boat. The water next to the bulkhead is approximately 2' deep with a sandy bottom. Perfect for swimming, fishing, or launching your kayak or paddle board.

Inside, the home features a very open floorplan, allowing the sparkling water views to be seen from all the living spaces. The spacious and well appointed kitchen is stocked with new pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc.

The two bedrooms each have their own adjoining private bathroom. The first bedroom has a king bed and water views with a private door to the sound front deck. The second has a queen and twin bunks. Each have comfortable new mattresses and pillows. A large laundry room is available for your use as well.

Downstairs, the convenient outdoor shower is perfect to rinse away the sand and allows you to enjoy stunning water views even while taking shower!

Beach access, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, shops, and restaurants are all just minutes away.

Beautiful sunsets

This was my second stay at Observation Point and it was a great place to relax and kayak. The place was clean and well stocked, the sunsets were spectacular. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Sunsets and warm salty breezes

This is our third time staying here. The location is very good and close to many delicious eateries and fun art gallery shops. You can watch beautiful sunsets here or gorgeous sunrises. The home is well stocked and a comfy size. You will love this place!! Thank you Tom and Miranda:)

Always fabulous

We've had the pleasure of staying at Observation Point for many years...and every year seems better than the last. The location on the sound is pure magic. Coffee in the morning, watching the birds is so peaceful...& The sunset are beyond description. The neighborhood is perfect for bike rides...and is conveniently located to stores and restaurants, and of course the beach. Observation Point is nourishment for our minds, bodies, and spirits.

Great second visit!

We love staying here! Great location on the sound. Easily the best deck location on the street. Small house, but great setup! Worked great for our family of 6! Can’t wait until next year.

No more ocean side for us

We loved this house on the sound side at Frisco with a dock. We were able to take our boat on this trip and fish the sound. We had a great neighbor. The furniture was very comfortable, the bed was comfortable and if we could afford to buy this house, we would. God willing, we will be back next year. Nick and Heidi

Small House Big Views

This house is a small 2 bedroom 2 bath home, but it makes up for its size with gorgeous views of the sound. The neighborhood is lovely and the sweet pups that live nearby are a bonus. The deck with the covered area is perfect for watching the fish jump or the gulls fly by. We really enjoyed starting our morning out there with a nice cup of coffee. The house is perfect for a couple or small family.

Beautiful Home With A Beautiful View

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Great location for the southern Outer Banks, and close proximity to the other other villages. Quiet neighborhood. The house was everything and more than expected. Great porch with an awesome view. Nice dock for launching kayaks. Owners were very good communicators. Highly recommend!!!

Fabulous property

We've been fortunate to have stayed at Observation Point many times over the years. It just gets better every time. The house is perfect for us...the neighborhood is wonderful for bike rides, and last but not least is the stunning view from the deck. Words can't capture the experience of the sunsets. Of course the same can be said for the mornings too. Observation Point is nourishment for the mind, body, and soul. Treat yourself to a stay❤️

Perfect home for us

We LOVED our 2 week stay at Observation Point.❤️ The house and location has everything we want when we visit our favorite island. The kitchen is very well stocked with anything you'll need. The bed is very comfortable along with the other furnishings throughout the home. Loved the shower too! Sunsets are AMAZING and the fishing off the dock was productive too! The owners were very gracious and a pleasure to work with. Enjoyed talking to the neighbors we met and cannot wait until we are able to get back to Observation Point. Thank you, Miranda and Tom, for sharing your "perfect home for us" home!

Great little house in a perfect location.

We loved staying here! It’s small but you don’t even notice because of how open it is, plus being outside is the best part. Deck feels like your sitting on the water. We loved the beautiful sunsets over the water and tried not to miss a single one. Our kids enjoyed playing in the sandy water off the house which was so calm most of the time. We’d stay here again! Only 3 things that would make it better: a working shower outside , some nails at the end of the dock need to be hammered, and pole holders on the dock for fishing. Other than that it was perfect!

Fantastic place to create summertime memories with your family!

We absolutely loved staying at this home!! It was completely perfect for our family of 5 to enjoy time at the OBX. It is located in a peaceful little neighborhood only a few minutes drive from our favorite beach. Most days the kids didn't even rush us to the beach because they enjoyed the beautiful sandy area or fishing (and catching their first fish ever!) off of the dock. We also enjoyed watching the stunning sunsets in the evenings from the porch or the hammock. The Adirondack chairs were a very comfortable place to savor a cup of coffee and a gorgeous view out on the porch each morning. The kitchen was well stocked which allowed us to enjoy several family meals at the house. The checkin/checkout process was incredibly simple and Miranda was impeccable with quick communication which made our stay at the home pretty seamless. All in all we truly cherished the time we were able to spend here for our family vacation and would definitely LOVE to stay here again in the future! :)

Great week at OBX!!!

Arrived in Outer Banks on Friday and spent the night in Kitty Hawk- headed south toward Hatteras on Saturday morning, taking in the beautiful sights....Easy entry into the cottage and we were immediately impressed with the accommodations and the incredible views. Weather was very windy on Saturday, but improved throughout the week. Enjoyed the chairs on the deck on the sunny days, as well as in the late calm evenings. WI-FI worked perfectly- no issues. We went to most of the restaurants and bars in Buxton, Avon, and Hatteras...and a few in Nags Head. Got some tasty shrimp at Buxton Seafood and boiled them at the cottage. They were great! Went to Ocracoke one day - fun excursion. Visited the Hatteras lighthouse- didn't climb up it to the top, though. Very worth the visit.....................+++.About the deck.{One thing the owners may want to take a look at is the nails used on the deck are rusted and the heads are breaking off, leaving the possibility of puncture wounds to bare feet- stainless steel nails may solve that... Just be careful walking on the deck with bare feet.} Bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were roomy and the water pressure in showers was good- the sinks, not so much. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this property! The name "Observatioin Point" is spot on!

We made the right choice of cottage and location for us.

My husband and I booked our stay in January 2017 for the first week in August. Much to our dismay there was a mandatory evacuation in effect on the island 10 days prior to our reservation. Tom and Miranda were prompt in keeping us informed as to what was going on with the cut cable that caused a power outage for the entire area including Observation Point. Fortunately, the evacuation was lifted on Friday the 4th and we were able to arrive at the cottage on Sat. the 5th. We had a week of mixed weather with some high winds and rain. We were still able to enjoy fishing and crabbing from the pier. The deck is the perfect place to "sound" watch and enjoy a cold beer. Even when it rained I was able to sit under the house and read an entire John Grisham novel. We bought shrimp and crab cakes from Surf's Up Seafood Market. Cooked the crabs and fish we caught and had a terrific seafood dinner. We went to Sonny's Restaurant in Hatteras village for another seafood dinner. A must do is to go to Orange Blossum Bakery and have an "apple ugly" pastry. Big enough to share. Bought several to bring home to friends. (Get there early, they sell out quickly.) Our stay at Observation Point was very enjoyable. The cottage is spacious and has everything you might possibly need to cook up a great meal, open a cold bottle of beer or uncork a bottle of wine. As we entered the door, we both knew that this was our special place.
