There is a Top deck widows peak provides some of the best stargazing views on the East Coast. Only 150 yards away you can enjoy the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean where you can surf fish, surf, sunbathe, fly a kite, or just do nothing.

Great location…5 minute walk to the beach and short drive to restaurants. Nice kitchen and comfortable beds. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back!

Great stay at a beautiful home. On the top deck, there was a view of the ocean. Short walk over the dunes to the beach. Great price for what you get. Loved that I could bring my dog. Beds were comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the stay.

This was our seconds stay at Tidewatch. Such a cute little box house with everything you need. The walk to the beach is close with an easy trail over the dunes. Dave is easy to communicate with and fast to respond to any issues. We will be back!!

This was our second year staying at this property and it continues to fit the needs of our family. Home is clean and cozy with ample room for two adults and three kids. Can’t beat the location and the multiple outdoor rinse off areas makes getting cleaned off easy. We did notice many more cars parking on the street to use the local beach access this year. We look forward to staying again next summer.

We had a relaxing vacation. When the weather got better we caught fish. It’s always a pleasure to stay at the beach house!

A Great Place to Stay !

I stay at this property now twice a year. It’s a great place. It’s close to the ocean and it’s nice and clean and updated has a nice concrete driveway we love this house. It’s one of my favorites.

Very nice beach house… Great beds, nice outside deck and widows’ peak upper deck. The kitchen had all the plates and glassware you could ever need. It was an all-around very comfortable house.

My family and pets had a great time. Location was great. The place was as expected. Layout was great. We had no issues. Was peaceful. Close enough to stores. Short drive to the sound were the dogs loved to play. Would stay again.

Perfect Avon stay

Our family just returned from a one week stay at the Tidewatch, and could not be more pleased. House is exactly as presented, was clean, and the location to the beach and local businesses that we enjoy cannot be beat. The driveway is the nicest on the street. House had plenty of room for our family of 5, and we enjoyed the deck & widows peak. We have booked a repeat stay here next year.

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay and will be back, it was the perfect place for our family, and well stocked for cooking meals. It is dog friendly so there was dog hair thru out but we didn’t have allergies so it was minor. I miss it already!

1st time in Avon

We loved our first trip to Avon! Super easy access to the beach. Really enjoyed the top deck views and the screen porch was the best! Kitchen was well equipped and had a great seating area for dining and family game night. However, the master bedroom has a very hard mattress and the living room furniture wasn't super comfortable for lounging with family. Overall, great stay! Would definitely stay here again.

It was fine, but the property smelled of mold. See attached photo. Other than that it was great. Loved the open space of lr dr and kitchen. Just all the vents were full fo mold.

Love love love Tidewatch

We had the best time exploring what 12 south had to offer at a super mellow pace. This home was a perfect match for our family of 4. Beds were super comfy and the outdoor amnesties were plenty. There were so many options to access the nature and beauty of this quieter stretch of OBX and we watched the sunrise on the beach every morning. We booked for 2 weeks next year 🌊🐢❤️

Must Visit

This was our 3rd time staying at Tidewatch. The cleanliness and amenities are all anyone could ask for. Because of all the amenities we were able to pack light but still have everything we need. The property owners are great at communicating. The walk to the beach is a breeze. Each time we have stayed there have been improvements to make the visit even more enjoyable. We love the porches and widow’s peak and also had plenty of space to stay entertained during the couple rainy days. the neighborhood is great as well. We will be back! We love Tidewatch!

Great stay

We had a wonderful vacation here. The cottage had everything we needed and plenty of room. I loved the screened in area with the swing. The beach was a short walk, not crowded, and beautiful. This was our first trip to the banks and without knowing what area to stay in, we were so happy we ended up in Avon and not Nags Head/Kitty Hawk area. (Too touristy looking and crowded for us) There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you don’t want to cook. We also visited the state park, all four light houses, Corolla for the day, and took the ferry to Ocracoke Island. Great trip! Thank for sharing your place.
