Beautiful Oceanside Avon NC Home with Private Pool & HotTub

Escape to “Southern Wind,” a well-maintained Oceanside multi-story home and enjoy views from sunrise to sunset in beautiful Avon, NC.

On the ground level, you’ll find concrete parking under the carport, access to your private in-ground pool and patio area, a new hot tub, outdoor shower, and fish-cleaning station. Enjoy a picnic using either the charcoal or Weber gas grill. Within short walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, and the popular Avon Fishing Pier.

On your way upstairs, stop on the first level to play a round of foosball in the small, furnished game room. Continue up to the second level and you’ll find three spacious bedrooms. The master includes 1 queen, flat screen TV, and full private bath with tub/shower. Bedroom 2 includes 1 queen, flat screen TV, and close proximity to full hall bath. Bedroom 3 has a set of twin bunks plus 1 single bed. Conveniently located new full sized washer and dryer make laundry a breeze. Walk out to your spacious screened-in deck and enjoy gorgeous sunsets over the Pamlico sound

On the top floor you’ll find a great room with high ceilings, comfortable entertaining areas around the large flat screen TV, DVD, and stereo, and a large combined kitchen and dining area, anchored with a spacious breakfast island. Grab a cup of coffee and walk out to the Oceanside deck for stunning sunrises.

From sunrise to sunset, Southern Wind is sure to be your home away from home during your island getaway.

This place was amazing. The screened in porch was a great place to gather and socialize. The pool and hot tub were clean and were cleaned again mid week. The kitchen had all the items I needed to cook some nice family meals and the kitchen table was big enough for all of us. The memories we made there were priceless. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Absolutely loved the house. House was well stocked and a very short walk to the beach. Matt was very helpful and very responsive. Wasn't able to get to the house our first night because of hurricane Erin after affects but turned out to be an amazing week and adventure for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Great place for family vacation!

The house was wonderful and very clean when we arrived. Several stores and restaurants nearby, and just a short walk to the beach. Our host responded very quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!

Great week, great weather!

The property is located right off highway 12, which makes it easy to walk to many places right alongside the highway. The walk to the beach is down a deathend road with no traffic. This makes an easy walk with 2 young children! The weather was perfect! No rain and all sun!!!! It was a hot week, but coming from Pittsburgh weather, this was paradise to us!

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It is kept up well and very clean inside. Lots of little touches to make it comfortable during your stay. The pool and hot tub are maintained nicely and kept as clean as possible. We did have to call in maintenance to help clean up the pool because we had high winds during our stay that put debris in it and I want to note that they were excellent, friendly and prompt. The home owner is also very easy to contact and responds very quickly and is very kind and helpful. The walk to the beach is very easy and the beach wasn't over crowded where you access it. Altogether a very nice stay! Thank you for sharing your home with vacationers!

Great place for a family vacation

This place was wonderful to stay at for a week long family vacation. We had plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids. The kitchen had everything you could ever need. Location was easy to find but it is on the main road. We would stay here again.

Vacation at Southern Winds

Super easy reservation and check-in process. My family and I had a great time using the pool, hot tub and grill. The rooms were cozy and provided extra linens and towels for the stay. The house was very clean and welcoming! We loved the surrounding area. It was very quiet and close to many beach locations and sites to see. Hope to stay again!

Family get-away

Quality time with loved ones

First off, since it was so early in the season we msged Matt asking that the pool be open, it was! It was just the 3 of us but we enjoy having the house all to ourselves. There are menus and points of interest on the frig if you want to do something other than enjoy the pool, hot tub or beach. We enjoyed everything the house had to offer and then some

Enjoyed our stay

We stayed during the off season; three homes in the neighborhood were being repaired/built. There was construction noise, but that isn’t something that could be controlled or changed. We didn’t let it affect our stay. The walk to the beach was short and not bad at all. We loved the set-up of the home and enjoyed our stay. We would consider renting this home again in the future! We loved the Avon area for our stay.

Family Vaca

It was very nice being so close to the ocean side and sound side. Everything was in walking distance. A little hiccups through the week but Matt the owner was very quick to answer and help out right away. Overall we enjoy our stay, it went way too fast! We love the Outer Banks, first time being that far south. We’re usually more up north, I think we enjoyed it more being down in Avon. Definitely will be back!

Our first time in OBX and the house was perfect for us. Super location, literally on Rt 12. Beach is quick walking distance around the corner. You can walk to coffee spots, bakeries and shops. Major grocery store etc only a few mins away by car. House was lovely! The teens enjoyed hot tub, pool, darts and foosball table. Great space for cooking (fully equipped kitchen) and gathering. Adorably decorated. Owners are fantastic and responded within minutes to questions. Highly recommend!! Thank you, Matt!!!

Enjoyed our Stay!

Overall, our stay was great and it was a perfect little getaway for our family! Everything was very clean upon arrival and there was even a pack n' play provided if we needed (even though we brought our own). Just a few things to note that I didn't read in other people's reviews that I may have liked to know (we visited in the off season, so please keep that in mind): - We had to make all beds upon arrival - The pool was not open, but it was still filled so we had to be a little extra cautious with our little ones - You are on the main road and have to walk for a tiny bit on the main road to get to the side road that leads to the beach walkway (it is not a far walk though and it is a beautiful beach!) - Owner was very responsive with our 1 small issue, but their management that would have taken care of the issue was off the island. - Many restaurants are seasonal so many were not open while we were down there. However, the Food Lion grocery store is just down the road - You are very close to the Pier which has a cool playground for the littles! Pier was not open but playground was. Again, only listing these things since these may be "off season things to know." However, none of this would stop us from booking again! We had a great time!
