What a great location for all the High Country has to offer!

Located in the heart of downtown Blowing Rock, this apartment features exposed old brick walls, king bedroom plus new queen sleeper sofa in living area, bath with skylights, full kitchen plus washer/dryer.

Walk to shopping, fine restaurants and cozy pubs, the town parks and amenities (pool, tennis court, walking paths and trails) while leaving the car parked, and then use this central location to explore the rest of the High Country.

Check-out: 10:00 AM
Late Check-out or Early Check-in at 1:00 PM: Must be requested and approved 48 hours in advance. A taxable fee for approved Late Check-out and Early Check-in will be applied.
Until confirmed, rates are subject to change
Minimum stays are required and vary throughout the year

Note: At the current time there is a minor leak in the shower that causes the floor of the shower to stay wet. It is not much of an issue for most guests, but fixing the leak is going to require the participation of the Town of Blowing Rock and other building occupants in shutting down the water to the building, which includes retail space. This repair is in the process of being scheduled.

Awesome location

Really enjoyed our stay. Convenient to all the shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed walking everywhere we went. Perfect for a weekend getaway and hope to stay again!

Amazing Stay at the Center of Blowing Rock!

We can't say enough great things about our stay at Sunset Stroll! We had an issue with parking and the property manager worked extra hard to help resolve the issue. Close to everything Blowing Rock, this apartment was perfect for us. We even inquired about staying an extra day and luckily for us, the property manager made it really easy and set us up for a bonus day. We will definitely be back and will try to get this apartment again!

Great location

We had just a short two night stay for the weekend but the location is right in the center of downtown so you can walk to all of the attractions there.

Perfect!

This property was perfect for me. I wanted a relaxing getaway with no schedule of places that I had to be. Blowing Rock was exactly the best place for that and this property was exactly the best location-wise and relaxation-wise.

Great place for a getaway.

Perfect apartment right on Main Street right across from the park. Shops and restaurants close and just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking, kayaking and picnicking. Lots of fun things to do, music in the park, art fair, and just enjoying the Appalachian mountains.

Cute little spot in the middle of town!

We had an amazing weekend staying at Sunset Stroll. It was just the perfect amount of room for the 2 of us. It was a rainy weekend so we could just pop in & out of the apartment, shops, & restaurants. Can’t wait to come back!!

No better location for Blowing Rock

If you want to be "in" Blowing Rock there is no better location. We have visited Blowing Rock a half dozen times and stayed in motels rooms to condos, this is the best located. As shown there are some stairs but unless that is an issue for you personally this is a great choice. If you've visited the town you will also appreciate having a dedicated parking space. There are plenty of walking distance restaurants but as we were there over a week having kitchen facility is also a plus if one wants an occasional breakfast or lunch without having to go out.

Best Location

Pros: You can't find a better location than this one. It's just a few steps from the center of everything in Blowing Rock. Not only is the location perfect, but you also get an assigned, conveniently located, parking space. Priceless. Cons: The bed. It was way to soft for us and dipped where we slept. The pillows and the mattress reminded me of staying at my grandma's house.

Sunset Stroll

Overall the place was a good place to stay. Location is great. Cleanliness is great. Biggest issue we had in the listing it seemed the parking was right out the back door. The parking was located across the street and down a little. there was a reserved spot however not easy to load and unload luggage..

Great, but...

The apartment was spotless and perfectly located a half-block from the main street of the historic district. Everything in the area was within walking distance, and the assigned parking space was a good benefit. It was well supplied, and everything with one exception worked well. That exception was the wifi, which was hit and often miss. The TV is linked to a streaming service, so if that's important to you, weigh it against the major benefits of the apartment. Also, if stairs are an issue, be aware that the apartment is reached by a couple of flights of outdoor stairs.

Cozy and Comfortable

My husband and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the Sunset Stroll property. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything that you need. Loved the exposed brick walls throughout. The property is very centrally located and just a few steps from main street. The beautiful city park is just up the street. You can just park your car and walk to the shops and restaurants. The unit had a well appointed kitchen and a comfortable king bed. The bathroom is not very large but is adequate and does have a small storage shelf. The only major con was the strange step up into the living area. You have to be very careful coming in the front door or you will immediately trip. Also, just be aware that there are quite a few steps to get up to the unit from the street, and the designated parking space is down one building and across the street. However this would not keep us from booking this property again. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Cute apartment just off Main St in Blowing Rock

Nice, quaint, and quiet. Hosts were very kind, and quickly responsive to questions. We really liked being able to just walk downstairs and be right on the main drag. Couple of things to note: -It's on the 2nd floor, so there is a good-sized outdoor staircase to traverse. There's a large outdoor patio area at the top of the stairs. Nice if you want to chill outside. -Designated parking space is about 1/2 block down. We were able to pull into a gravel spot across the street just for unloading and then move the car. -Several fall hazards: Living room is on a 6" raised carpeted platform, easy to bump into esp at night on the way to the bathroom. Several runners and throw rugs also in place. Be careful with all these or you really will "Have a nice trip"! -Internet router is in the apartment next door so if it needs resetting, you'll have to call the host. But when we did, they had it reset remotely right away and then it worked fine. -Smart Roku TV; you can set it in "guest mode" and then login to whatever streaming services you already have accounts for. -Bedroom is a little small-king size bed barely fits. There is only an end table on one side. We both use CPAP so had to get creative with a chair and extension cord. -The bed was very comfy! A lot better than many places we've stayed. -Full kitchen with full sized fridge. We bought groceries just down the road and had breakfasts in house. -Bathroom has a skylight--the natural light was very cool. We'd stay here again!

Fall getaway

Unexpected surprise with unit having raised den floor and no hand hold bars anywhere at shower. Not any in the shower nor directly outside the shower. Unit was very clean, cozy, and convenient to downtown activities and restaurants.

Excellent Location

You can't beat the location for this property! There are just a few quirks that I don't think are explained in the listing. The living room to the right of the door sits on a raised platform. We both tripped on this platform on the way in and my husband actually fell. The platform also extends into the walkway between the bedroom and bathroom that you need to be sure not to trip at night. There are also no level floors in the place so be prepared for a fun house floor feel that is frequent in older buildings like this one. The door between the master bedroom and the living room has a glass insert. This makes it pretty useless if one of you wants to stay up and watch TV and the other person wants to sleep. Also, the mattress has a thick piece of foam on top that makes it extremely uncomfortable.

Convenient and inclusive

My wife and I stayed here while visiting my parents who were spending a month nearby. We enjoyed easy access for strolls through town at sunset (as the name suggests), and were within minutes to Moses Cone and other natural wonders where we walked and enjoyed nature. Good restaurants are within walking distance, and it was a short drive to the Food Lion where we stocked up for the full kitchen. Highly recommend.

An awesome return stay!

Thank you for a fantastic return stay! This is definitely our favorite get-away spot now. Everything continues to be very well-maintained and the location cannot be beat. The parking spot is perfect. :-)

Cozy Convenience

My daughter and I wanted to get away a few days and this was the perfect place to stay. It is so convenient to be able to just walk out the door to shopping and restaurants. Sunset Stroll is very comfortable too with quality bedding that had me sleeping almost better than I do at home. We love to stay where we have our own kitchen and this and all the amenities made this such an easy stay. My daughter is 22 and she slept on the fold out bed and was very comfortable! I know we will come here again because we didn't get to do everything on our list. But one thing we did do was enjoy a day at WestGlow Spa. I highly recommend it. It's definitely 5 star but a I thought a day trip there was a big bang for your buck. We paid $225 each and this included a morning hike, all the classes we wanted to take, use of the workout equipments, pool, hot tubs, sauna, steam room and a deep tissue massage!!! AND it includes a 4 course lunch that we ate out on the patio where we enjoyed the most beautiful view. They provide robes, towels, toiletries, snack, teas, lemonade ice cubes, cucumbers for your eyes and have really thought of everything. Considering that just a massage in a dumpy old room where we live is as much as $100, I thought $225 to enjoy this beautiful place and receive one of the best massages EVER was quite a bargain. Choosing Sunset STroll MADE our trip.

Sunset Stroll is Awesome!

This apartment located in the heart of Blowing Rock was exactly as advertised -- very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The king bed was great as well. We were there 4 days and walked to the shops, restaurants, and art festival. We only used our car once to drive to the nearby Food Lion. Truly a wonderful location. We will definitely do our best to stay here the next time we visit Blowing Rock, which is a very charming, southern town.

Weekend Snowboard Trip for 2

I appreciated that this apartment was very clean (and seamed to be cleaned very close to our arrival rather than just sitting clean) - 5 stars for the cleaning crew! Also, we loved the heater in the bathroom. After being out and about in the cold, it was nice to come back to a warm shower and heated bathroom. We also really enjoyed having the king sized bed! It was so much more spacious than what we are used to! All together, I would definitely recommend this apartment. The apartment is well appointed, within walking distance to plenty of restaurants/pubs and shops, there was a Food Lion within minutes drive away, and it was very easy to find street parking close to the entrance. It is about 35 minutes or so to get to the Sugar Mountain which is where we went snowboarding. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend get away! (I would suggest providing supplemental internet since the Free Blowing Rock was inaccessible during our stay...although we do recognize that you do not include internet in your amenities list. Also, a full length mirror would be great!) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT TO THE GROUPS LISTED BELOW...Thanks again, we enjoyed our stay!
