We stayed at this property for three nights in February. A bottle of wine was waiting on the table when we arrived, such a nice touch. It is a lovely and immaculate three-bedroom home. It has adequate kitchen utensils for a short stay. It has a beautiful back yard, half of it covered to protect from the rain and tastefully decorated with quality patio furniture, a hammock, and a really nice dining area with table and chairs and barbecue. If we weren’t so busy we would have enjoyed spending more time there, even when it was pouring rain. The walk down to the little river at the back is very steep and not easily accessible for individuals who are not fit. We saw some little red frogs on our trek down to the bottom, which was great.
The property is several kilometres from the heart of downtown Fortuna and a vehicle is needed. As seniors we didn’t feel comfortable walking down to the grocery store a short distance away because of the sidewalk condition, especially at night. As others mentioned, heavy vehicles and motorcycles sped by at night, which was not pleasant.
We would stay again if we returned, knowing the home and surrounding area conditions, including the traffic noise at night.
