We take every review seriously and feel it’s important to clarify a few points for future guests. VRBO automatically sends the door access code three days prior to arrival as part of their standard operating procedure. This code was sent in advance. On the day of check-in, when you reached out asking for it, I responded promptly, let you know that VRBO had already provided it, and included the code again in my reply to ensure you had easy access. After that message, we did not receive any further communication from you during your stay. We are proudly a pet-friendly cabin, and the majority of our guests bring their pets. Our listing clearly states that we welcome animals, so there are no surprises in that regard. Regarding the additional charges: all standard fees are included upfront. However, as clearly outlined in our VRBO listing and posted visibly inside the cabin, there are specific rules regarding trash disposal and property care. Unfortunately, there was a significant violation of those posted rules, and we have photo documentation of the condition in which the garbage was left. Additional fees are only assessed when house rules are not followed. We have been hosting for six years and have welcomed hundreds of wonderful guests who treat our cabin with care and respect. It is always disappointing when the property is not left in the condition outlined in our clearly posted guidelines. We remain committed to providing a clean, welcoming, and transparent experience
