Lake George NY - Family & Pet Friendly Vacation Home

Our Diamond Point vacation home is conveniently located between the village of Lake George and the town of Bolton Landing. There is a lake view when trees are not in full bloom. It is remodeled, comfortable, and peaceful with a babbling brook in the backyard. There are 3 bedrooms in the house, with an additional sitting room with a full bed. The house is fully equipped as we used this as a second home before making it a vacation rental. There is an adjoining deck with a grill for barbecues, and second deck off the master bedroom. Kayaks, paddle boards, and bicycles are available for your use. We have a nearby cabin that is on the water, where we keep the kayaks and paddle boards.

Our house is located 3 1/2 miles north of the village of Lake George and 5 miles south of Bolton Landing. The surrounding area offers many outdoor activities; swimming, biking, hiking and horseback riding are all readily available. Shopping, an array of restaurants, amusement parks and historic and cultural sites are also nearby. Bus transportation is available to all the nearby attractions and towns from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It is less than 30 minutes to Saratoga, providing an excellent location during horse racing season.

There are several public beaches within 10 minutes from the house.There is a large deck with a picnic table for outdoor eating, and a screened in porch for relaxing in the evenings. Several books, movies, and games are available for your use. Our house remains cool throughout the summer, while allowing you to enjoy the summer fun during the day. We have installed central air conditioning, and there are ceiling fans in most of the rooms. There are many great restaurants in the area, numerous outdoor activities, and entertainment venues nearby.

We have been vacationing in Lake George for more than 30 years. Diamond Point is a 5 minute drive to the Lake George village or Bolton Landing, but more peaceful and avoids the summer crowds. It is less than 3 miles from the Northway (87) and provides easy access to the entire Adirondack region.

Great house, location and host

I stayed with 5 friends and 2 dogs in this house for 5 days and this place was perfect. Big house very comfortable and clean, but the host made our stay be even better taking us for kayak and being super kind with many recommendations and tips. I would totally choose this house again and would recommend it to anyone else visiting the area.

Family stay

Christine was a wonderful host ! Home was spacious with all amenities including brownies made by her . Very informative easy to be in touch with! We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next summer

Nice & Comfortable

Like the title states, house was nice and very comfortable. Owner met us when we arrived, and gave a tour of the home (and of course her famous brownies). House location was close enough to the main area of Lake George but gave us the privacy we wanted.

Vacation with the grandkids

We didn't spend much time at the house. We used it as home base and were gone a lot. A/c was great. Very humid week. Close to most anything on lake George. Chris was very easy to work with.

Looking forward to next year

Enjoyed our stay here. Location was perfect - only a few minutes from both Lake George village and Bolton Landing. The house was clean and roomy enough for 7 of us. Quiet neighborhood and very convenient location for everything we wanted to do. Host was very helpful ( brownies were great). The screened porch was a plus. Would definitely look to stay here again.

Family Fun

Chris is warm & welcoming. House is comfortable and has many rooms to accommodate us all easily. It also has many places to allow multiple people to enjoy simultaneously.

Very pleasant!

Rented this lovely home for Americade. Very convenient, yet quiet. Loved the screened in porch to enjoy morning coffee. Dog loved the woods & stream in the backyard. Washer and dryer was a big bonus.

As advertised

We enjoyed the Bolton landing beaches and used the free parking passes provided by owner. BBQ was great and there was plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 dogs. Reached out to Chris once or twice her response time was quick and helpful.

Family vacation

Our week at the house in Diamond Point was wonderful. Beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. Kitchen was large and well equipped. The ceiling fans and window fans kept the house comfortable even though it was fairly humid for a few days. There is a brook behind the house that was nice to listen to at night. Location was great for our purposes, close to Bolton, Lake George Village and Warrensburg. We would definitely stay there again.

Diamond Point Summer Vacation

Had a great time. House was terrific--Clean and right by the Lake. Huddle Bay Beach 4 miles away. Chris is a great host--Arranged for us to use her kayaks and Sup Board. Steep stairs to second floor bedrooms. Middle bedroom on second floor has little privacy and no closet. Great showers and very comfortable living and dining rooms. nice big yard. Close to all Lake George has to offer.

Perfect Vacation Home for Families

Christine was a super host and even greeted us with brownies! She walked us through the house upon our arrival and told us about things to do in Lake George and the surrounding area. It was nice that there were cameras on all sides of the house and on the porch to make us feel safe. The home needed some dusting and a deep clean of the shower doors in the upstair shower. However, over all the home was very clean. The home was perfect size for our family of 7 and 1 dog. We really enjoyed the screened in porch and the deck. It was like going to Grandma's house. The home is in the perfect location for Lake George and Bolton Landing. Downtown Lake George was a short drive from this home. We spent a lot of time doing tourist things in downtown. Be sure to prepare to pay for parking downtown with meters, paid parking and download the ParkMobile app before coming . We even took a day trip to Vermont to see an old friend. Sadly, the private beach is closed. We did not take advantage of the kayaks. Should we take another family vacation we would certainly rebook with Christine at her Diamond Point home. Thank you for hosting our stay.

Comfortable, great location, and fully stocked

Chris’s place made us feel at home. It’s a very comfortable house and there were loads of books to read about the area and for fun. We enjoyed cooking together and were very glad to find such a well appointed kitchen. The grill and the big backyard for the dog to run in were added bonuses as were the brownies and the squash. The location is very convenient to Bolton Point and Lake George. We enjoyed eating at some of the restaurants Chris recommended.

The dirty house

House was dirty. Mattress pad in one bedroom had blood stains. Oven and toaster were disgustingly dirty. Half drank Snapple bottle under one bed. Bedrooms and fans were full of dust. Screen enclosed porch was full of cobwebs. Ant traps were on kitchen counters. I have pictures of some of it. Not happy at all and will never stay there again. Also may not use VRBO again as I feel properties should be inspected more.

Spacious and very convenient to the Village if Lake George and shopping.

It was a very nice and comfortable home. Wish it overlooked the lake and had access to a private beach with kayaking. It was a little awkward to have to notify the homeowner and be escorted to kayak. For that reason, we only went once.

Diamond Point Rd. House at Lake George

Our rental house was clean and neat as a pin. It had everything you might possibly need to have a great time. Plus the owner Chris was awesome. We highly recommend this house.

We are a retired couple that have enjoyed family vacations in Lake George for more than 30 years. We have 2 adult married children with 4 young granddaughters. We live in Putnam County, NY but spend a great deal of time in Lake George. I am a retired educator, but still do some consulting in the area of special education. My husband is a retired attorney, but maintains a small practice. We appreciate all the area has to offer.

We purchased a second home in Lake George after camping in the area for many years. We rent out our home to other families, and mature adults so you may enjoy the beauty of the lake and surrounding area. We have created lasting memories with family and friends over the years, enjoying the lake and surrounding mountains during the day, and numerous restaurants, entertainment, and relaxing in the evenings. When renting out the house, we stay in another home nearby and are easily accessible.

We have remodeled our home to make it comfortable and welcoming. The deck is spacious with a new outdoor grill, and large picnic table for outdoor eating. The screened in porch offers a pleasant place to sit in the evenings and enjoy a cool breeze. There is a brook in the back that runs throughout the summer, providing a rhythmic background noise. Since it was a second home it is well equipped with all of the comforts of home. The house is in an ideal location providing easy access to Lake George village, Bolton Landing and Saratoga.
