Large screen satellite tv, satellite internet, full kitchen, central air, and dishwasher. Fenced yard is pet friendly. 30 minutes from Harlingen airport. 30 minutes to Brownsville/SPI.

Great location right on the Arroyo, fishing from the dock is great and the house is one of the best we have stayed in down here.

Fun weekend getaway!

Property Manager was awesome and sweet, we had a blast getting away from the city and enjoying our time with family fishing and cooking out! We really hope to come back again soon!

We stayed here a few times. We actually stayed here approximately 10 years ago and we really like it. We caught so many fish. My family really loves it. From what I understand It’s not gonna be available to the public. It’s only gonna be available to members.

Windy weekend

Great set up for fishing place! Caught some trout and gaf top. Quick access to bait shop and by boat to Laguna Madre. Problem we had was a strong southeast wind and the front door on south side would not lock. We just put a chair in front of it. Unfortunately, the dishwasher wasn't working so I kept busy. Had an ant problem from around the stove, but we had some spray to fix that while we were there.

Spacious and great location

We had a great stay. The house is spacious and comfortable. Loved the deck, the pier, and the screened in sun room. Fishing was great from the pier. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Only small cons were dirty utensils, some with fish scales, and the roaches, but thats to be expected when by the water. Host was great and promply addressed any issues or questions we had. We would definitely book this place again.

Our Go-to Place

This was our 5th time staying at the property. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else. It's a big place, with plenty of room for our friends and an open, fully-appointed kitchen. We love the large dock and palapas - a nice place to sit, fish, and watch the sun go down. Gloria is never more than a phone call away and couldn't be nicer.

Relax & Fish on the Arroyo

Nice private property with plenty backyard space, deck; spacious home with large living kitchen area; plenty of beds available for the aunt's and cousins; would love to come back for a longer stay.

3rd stay

This was our 3rd stay. All have been very nice overall. As in our previous stays however, we were unable to lock the outer doors to secure our belongings when we were not there. We were given a key but could not get it to lock the door. Another minor issue was the hot water. It took a long time to get any. Minor but frustrating. Overall it was great and we have booked it for next year.

I worked as full time fly fishing guide in Arroyo City for many years before moving to Colorado. Whether fishing with fly or conventional tackle, Arroyo City is the gem of South Texas. What Port O'Connor used to be and South Padre never was.

The house functioned for many years as a fly fishing lodge and is appointed as you would expect. It is comfortable but not stuffy. It has been voted the Best Rental on the Arroyo for 4 straight years.
