Sheephorn Chalet is the place to stay if you are in search of a cozy, clean cabin with all of the comforts of home and all of the amenities you seek while staying in Big Bear.

Located in lower Moonridge, this Chalet has it all. Walking distance to the golf course, zoo, restaurants, and only 1/2 mile to Bear Mountain! Sheephorn Chalet's flat lot is not only able to hold several cars but also larger towed vehicles such as a boat or trailer. Bring your toys and enjoy everything Big Bear has to offer. The walk to surrounding attractions is also a great feature of this cabin... forget dreaded hilly roads to climb back up after a long day of golf or skiing; flat roads will be your travel home.

Sheephorn Chalet is our newly furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with the real feel of a cabin. The beautiful dark wood beams throughout make this cabin the perfect mountain get-away. Imagine your stay at the Sheephorn Chalet… settling in on a cold night while enjoying the warm fireplace and your favorite movie, or relaxing in the hot tub just steps outside of the front door. Breathtaking views await you from the grand living room windows looking out on Bear Mountain without any neighbors across the street. Whether you sip on a glass of wine while the sun sets or wake up with your hot coffee and watch the mountains come to life, this view will not disappoint.

Pride of ownership is evident in all of the details you will find from the brand new furniture and decorations throughout to the stocked kitchen with all of your home necessities. We thought of everything our family would need to enjoy our stay and are sharing all of this with you. Free Wi-Fi is a great amenity, we include a connection to, Netflix, Pandora, HBO Now, Amazon Prime, Showtime and NFL Game Pass in every room on the flat screen T.V.'s. Take advantage of all it has to offer and make yourself at home during your stay at the Sheephorn Chalet!

Both bedrooms are beautifully furnished with brand new queen beds, mattresses and linens. The master bedroom upstairs has its own bathroom and shower. There is a second bedroom downstairs and adjacent bathroom. The living room sofa also folds out to a queen size sleeper. You are sure to have a restful night’s sleep!

For your dining pleasure, we have a beautiful six seated dining table and all of the tools you will need to make your favorite home cooked meal. The kitchen has all of the essentials such as a coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, chopping block, knife set, dishes, utensils, glasses, plastic cups for use outside.

Sheephorn Chalet is the perfect choice for your next Big Bear vacation. With such close proximity to adventure and fun as well as just taking in the scenic mountain area, this cabin has everything you’re looking for. Don’t miss out on this cozy chalet stay!

Great location, cabin sits right on Sand Canyon with views of Bear Mountain

This is a great cabin to enjoy Big Bear Lake, clean and lots of character. The owner is easy to work with and we had a great experience. I would recommend this cabin to my family and friends!

Perfect cabin for our family of 4!

Perfect cabin for our family of 4! You can see people skiing down bear mountain from the windows. Clean, comfy, cozy and practical. Had everything we needed. Relaxed in the hot tub each day. Watched Christmas movies with the kids! Host was very communicative and friendly! Would definitely come back!!

Fun weekend getaway

Very lovely and cozy home with a great mountain view. The house lived up to its description and was very clean. The one issue we did have was the lighting in the up stairs bedroom was very dull and a bit out of the way to reach. Other than that we had a blast and the owner was awesome.

I appreciate the feedback and will address the lighting in the bedroom by installing a rustic ceiling fan that has lights that will match the cabin décor. This will give guests the option for dim or bright lighting, take care!

Peaceful secluded getaway

Delightful 2 bedroom, meticulously clean, cute cabin nestled in the forest with a few other cabins dotted around. So peaceful, you can hear the birds sing and traffic noise is a rarety. Just a quick trip into town if you need to gather supplies or to call in for a bear (beer) at the local. Plenty of souvenir shops in the town for that significant memoir of your stay at this lovely place . We have a few pieces we are bringing back to New Zealand. We were delighted to walk the river bed with the dog and to take in the awesome sights of the many cabins at big bear. Big bear lake is beautiful and there is always awesome scenery to take in. When you’re done shopping till you drop and dinner is done, a lively relax back at the cabin in the spa pool is just divine. Arin is definitely a super host and we will absolutely return. Thank you Arin.

Very Clean Well-Equipped

Nice cabin. Clean and well maintained. Beautiful views. Nice quiet neighborhood. Manager was helpful. Kitchen fully stocked. Enjoyed grilling on the propane bbq. Hot tub was in great condition and fire pit was a nice touch. Map and pamphlets with suggestions was helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice cabin in Big Bear

Lovely, well appointed cabin, beautiful views.

This cabin was everything we had hoped for. A very clean, comfortable, and well-organized place. Arin was a responsive host. As constructive feedback, the television in the living room was positioned way too high to comfortable to watch. Normally we wouldn't be concerned about a TV but one of our days we had torrential rain and we were hoping to enjoy the living room while watching a movie.

Perfect get away

My family came to the chalet to celebrate my daughters 7th birthday and we all had a great time. The chalet has everything a family needs. You’ll love the big open window that views bear mountain. The chalet is away from the main strip that there is meadows and ravines near by to play in the snow. Yet close enough to get groceries or a bite to eat. Arin the owner was super attentive and made our stay a special one. We can’t wait to go back!

A wonderful White Christmas!

We can't say enough amazing things about this cabin in Big Bear Lake. First off, it's literally right next to the ski slopes! LITERALLY. It's the PERFECT, PERFECT location. We woke up with gorgeous snow on Christmas day and the owner provides a shovel in the front and garage and a bucket of salt right by the door. This was awesome. All amenities were perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable. We felt like we had TONS of room. The bathrooms are superb and we always had hot running water. The garage was our personal favorite as it was HUGE and we were able to fit our car inside therefore when we went to town we did not have to clear snow off of our car! The hot tub is 5 stars...and that was beyond perfect. My children loved it, the privacy on both sides is awesome and there was an entire back and sides of the cabin to play, make snowmen, etc. We will be coming back! Perfect, Perfect White Christmas!

Great cabin!

We were for a nice place to stay while in Big Bear and came across this little gem. The owner was really nice and super responsive to all my questions. Once we arrive the house was super clean and was in a great location. The jacuzzi worked great. Was much needed after a day in the snow. We will definitely be staying here again!

Awesome cozy experience, at the Sheephorn Chalet

I can't say enough about our experience at The Sheephorn Chalet, From the time we arrived the house felt like it was our home. The house was exceptionally clean and both bathrooms looked like they had been recently updated. Sheephorn was nicely decorated, and a nice layout that provided enough separation from each other but enough common areas to be together. The property owner/ management was very helpful and prompt with email/ text responses.

Amazing!

This was our second stay here. Everything was perfect!! Great location, beautiful house. And Arin goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. We will be back for vacation #3 very soon!

I am a proud father of two beautiful little girls. I spent lots of time as a child up in the fresh air of the mountains and want my girls to experience the same. I spent time as an instructor at Mammoth Mountain and still enjoy getting fresh powder tracks and super fast corduroy runs first thing in the morning. I really hope you enjoy the Chalet as much as we do and create memories that will last a lifetime.

I fell in love with the breathtaking views the Chalet has to offer. The beautiful deck, giant wood beams, Sand Canyon Creek across the street to explore and most of all the giant windows really allow you to sit back and enjoy the perfect location. Sheephorn Chalet's location is perfect; close to it all yet still rural enough to get the real mountain feel, best of all I can walk to the slopes, enjoy a day of boarding and finish the day in the Jacuzzi overlooking Bear Mountain ridge!

I have made it a point to pay attention to detail in the Chalet, all the furnishings are new, the kitchen is well stocked, the beds are warm and the place is well kempt. I provide free Wi-Fi, Cable T.V. and Netflix and Pandora in every room...
