Don’t fight for parking at the resorts, Walk just up to Switzerland to enter the resort parking lot for your skiing and snowboarding pleasure or walk to the shuttle located on Snow Summit Blvd to experience Bear Mountain Ski resort. Shuttle runs every 30 minutes. Winter and summer this is one of the best cabins, true walking distance to the slopes yet in a quiet location. Summer fun on the lake which is just a mile away with all the delightful water activities Big Bear has to offer. amenities include a lounge Jacuzzi for 6 with views of the ski slopes and mountains. Enjoy the views of the pine forest from the rear decks. Relax by the cozy fireplace while enjoying a game of pool on the gorgeous 8 foot carved designer table. The Master bedroom has 1 King bed with a new wrapped mattress and plush bedding and one twin bed with new mattress and bedding as well. Guest room has a queen bed with new wrapped mattress and plush bedding and the loft is cozy and spacious with a full over full bunk with a full size trundle,

This family friendly cabin has a large 5 ft. fenced backyard for summertime fun that is completely enclosed and safe for children and pets!! The deck has a charcoal BBQ and a propane BBQ (with propane tank) for the warm summer nights and a patio furniture set for outside dining for four. Delight in the modern kitchen equipped with everything needed to whip up your culinary specialty or try the many wonderful local restaurants. Dining room and bar seats eight.

Handcrafted furniture and rustic touches throughout make this property the mountain retreat experience you were expecting.

Excellent location, fun cabin!

We loved staying here. Walking distance to slopes, very clean, kitchen as everything and the boys loved the pool table and jacuzzi. Cant wait to stay here again.

Amazing Snow Summit Cabin

Had a great stay this past weekend - perfect for families and so close to Snow Summit. This place was perfectly appointed and had everything we needed and hot tub was great after a day on the slopes. Pet friendly fenced yard was a big bonus so we could bring our fur babies as well. Will definitely be returning again!!!

Comfortable and convenient

The house was nice and clean upon arrival! It was such a cozy and comfortable stay. The BBQ pit is probably the only issue encounteres. There was a leak in the hose connected to the propane tank so we had to use charcoal, but still not inconvenient. The cabin is also conveniently close to Snow Summit. We will definitely consider renting this Cabin again for our next visit to Big Bear.

A welcoming experience

The home is immaculately maintained and the homeowner was very responsive to questions we had about the property. Our "Shepsky" Bolt loved the enclosed yard where he could run around in the snow. All necessities were provided for and in excellent condition. We would definitely want to enjoy another trip to their home. Could not have asked for more.

Cozy cabin for family gatherings

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. Beautiful well stocked kitchen and the pool table was a hit for the boys ( ages 15-22). The only thing that we had to buy was toiletries so make sure you bring your own. Jen , the owner , was extremely attentive and responsive. Super close to snow summit which was a huge plus. Wifi was excellent so my husband and I could work while the boys enjoyed the slopes. Just wish we could’ve stayed longer but boys have to go back to college . Will stay here again!

Great stay near Snow Summit!

My family (husband and 4 kids under 8) had a lovely time at Jen’s house. The distance was perfect so my husband and two older daughters could walk to Snow Summit to grab the shuttle to BBMR for their ski lessons, and for skiing at Snow Summit. The neighborhood felt very safe, clean, and quiet. Quite a few other rental properties on the same block. Check in was smooth - the check in location is super close to the house so no big deal. There was plenty of snow in the front yard so that my 3 year old could build a snowman and try to make a snow angel. I appreciated the TV with Disney+ to help keep my 3 y. o. entertained while the others were off skiing. Kitchen was well stocked, everything was clean. Very happy with our stay and would stay here again!

Great Location, Basic Amenities

I want to highlight what I liked about this place first, before I say what didn't work for us. The place is right next to Snow Summit, which is pretty awesome and I wish we would have come two weeks earlier. They also have a pool table, which helped us stay busy since there was no snow. The living room space was also nice, though we couldnt use the tv since the remote was not working right. Now to the not so great things...the showers were not well cleaned and i had to clean before i used them. Also, all of the rooms are basically adjoined, with there really being only two rooms (that share a bathroom) and one loft once you get to the top of the stairs. We could hear snoring and noise from the other room because it was just so close to our room. Also, the pillows, towels, and toilet paper were just not quality items. (Bring your own charmin tp!) Both my hubby and I had such a hard time sleeping due to the pillows and mattress. Overall, was a decent stay but key details would have made our stay a lot nicer.

Great retreat for the family!

We really enjoyed this property! The kitchen was well stocked with all supplies needed, including good quality cook wear and knives. The beds were super comfortable - my two daughters loved the bunk beds! All sleeping space is on the 2nd floor with only 1 shared bathroom which was the only bummer about the property. For up to 8 people sleeping on the same floor, one bathroom was a bit challenging. However there is a 2nd bathroom with a shower on the main floor. The amenities were excellent: pool table in great shape (the kids loved this!), hot tub worked very well and warmed up quickly. Was large enough for 2 adults and 4 kids with no issues. Fenced in backyard was a fantastic benefit as we had our dog with us. Good assortment of older movie DVDs to watch. The only amenity bummer was the grill in the backyard did not work. Unfortunately we didn't check it before buying our food we were planning to grill, so had to replan our dinners for the weekend. Property is walking distance to Snow Summit but it is roughly a 15+ minute walk...which was challenging with 4 kids under 10 walking in ski boots while also carrying their ski gear. You also cannot go directly to the house, you have to 'check-in' at a management property to receive the keypad code so plan accordingly. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would rent again. The main floor is very spacious and was perfect for 2 families with 4 adults, 4 kids and a french bulldog.

Wonderful cabin with great location. Perfect for our family. The dogs loved the fenced yard. My sons loves the pool table and jacuzzi. The host was a great communicator. We would definitely stay there again.

Great vacation rental! Clean, spacious but cozy and close to the lake, zoo and village. My grandkids even went night fishing on the lake and it was so fun. Jenn was easy to work with, would definitely stay here again!

Had an awesome stay here with some friends for my birthday. Great location w/a hot tub and pool table that kept us entertained while not on the slopes. Clean and had everything we needed for a great trip.

Disappointing in many ways

Let me first say that for a couple of families with kids who want to ski, this house would be ideal. However, it was just a friend and I and we found so much lacking. First, the downstairs is no where near as bright as it looks in the photo. It's dark! That's understandable because it's in the trees. But know that it's not at all bright and cheery as it looks in the photo. Location is great, but so many issues: it's not 3 bedrooms there are 2 bedrooms upstairs that share a bathroom. Then there are bunk beds outside those bedrooms in what you might call a loft. That being said I liked the beds and bedrooms. One of the doors between the bedroom and the bathroom had been kicked in (there was a hole in it) and did not shut. There was no soap or shampoo in the showers, no wash cloths, and only hand towels for bathrooms. Also no kleenex. The kitchen was lacking too: no teaspoons and a mixed bag of silverware that did not match, all knives were dull, the coffee maker was maybe enough for 2 people and didn't keep coffee warm. The grill was dirty and there was no brush to clean it. The kitchen lacked basics like salt and pepper, flour, sugar, etc. But maybe those are not meant to be there? The pool table had a pocket that was ripped so balls fell out of it. The floor was peeling a bit. I think just a general lack of maintenance. But again, if you are two families with kids or a bunch of young people who are skiing and don't care about these things, this would be a great house for you.

Family retreat

Overall the property was clean/well kept and in a nice neighborhood. Some things however reduced the likelihood that we’d stay here again: 1- the property was advertised as a 3 bedroom. I’d say a more accurate description would be 2 bedrooms and a loft area. The warmer weather combined with the loft area not having access to an outside window made sleeping difficult. Cabins interior temperature averaged over 80 degrees even at night. The central fan didn’t help cool the place down much. 2-the backyard area was just ok. Metal chairs with no pads provided.A nice wood deck, but the rest was rocks, dirt and somewhat uneven ground. The BBQ was nice. Jacuzzi appeared well maintained it it was too warm to use it

Place is exactly what I was hoping for. The hosts were very responsive. Was very clean and well stocked barbecue outside worked great. Would definitely stay again. A short easy bike ride or walk to the slopes / trails.
