Escape to this spacious 4-bedroom lakefront home on beautiful Big Evans Lake—an all-sports lake that is perfect for swimming, boating, fishing and making lasting memories. Tucked away in a peaceful, secluded setting, this property offers the perfect blend of relaxation and outdoor adventure, with frequent wildlife sightings adding to the natural charm. Our Lake is part of the 8 Martiny Chain of Lakes within the Martiny Lake State Game Area 7700 Acres of Public Land. The house is walking distance to the DNR boat launch.

Enjoy direct lake access with your private dock, plus a paddle boat and kayaks ready for you to explore the water. Whether you’re sipping coffee at sunrise or unwinding by the lake at sunset, roasting marshmallows by the fire, the serene surroundings make it easy to disconnect and recharge.

The home comfortably accommodates groups and families across three levels:

Loft (3rd floor): King bed with a full bathroom
Main floor: Queen bedroom with a full bathroom
Basement: Two queen bedrooms, plus a bunk room with a full-over-queen bed, and a half bath

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house! The home was exceptionally clean, well-kept, comfortable, and beautiful, and everything was easy from beginning to end. The price was very reasonable for everything that was included. The lake itself was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and wildlife, and offered excellent fishing, swimming, kayaking, and plenty of opportunities for recreation.The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and convenient. They generously provided fishing poles, kayaks, and swimming equipment, which were such thoughtful extras and made it easy for our family to enjoy everything the lake had to offer.We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this lake house to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and fun getaway. We would definitely love to come back!

To say we had fun is an understatement. We spent the most amazing 5 day vacation here. The cottage is beautiful, well maintained, and very clean. The views were beautiful. Hosts were very reliable and had great communication. We had everything we needed. The beds were so comfy, neighbors were friendly, and there was so much to do. We swam, kayaked, paddle boated, and fished for hours. It was a perfect family friendly getaway. Thanks Sue and Bob! We cannot wait to book again next summer!!

This property suited our annual family vacay perfectly. A little something for everyone - fishing, kayaking, paddle-boating, bird watching (especially the Loons, but the Eagles and Osprey were cool, too-and even the Hummingbirds at the neighbor's feeder), Ample areas for either the sun or shade lover with the upper and lower decks. The hosts had a generous supply of water toys for all ages. Gorgeous sunsets. All communications with the hosts (either before we committed to the rental or while we were there) were responded to quickly. Having the boat launch a very short drive away was a plus. It is a secluded lake, but all conveniences are within a 10-15 mile drive. And the other lakes in the Martiney Chain are easily navigable in the channels.

We were a group of 4 couples and 2 toddlers (8 adults and 2 toddlers) and had an amazing time at Sue and Bob's lakehouse cottage. The home was well maintained and clean inside with plenty of towels, bed sheets, dishes, pillows and board games/cards. We mostly spent our time outdoors and used the kayaks, the paddle boat and had 2 of our own inflatable floats/boats. We loved the fact they had extra life jackets and vests although we brought a few of our own especially for the little ones because sizing is always an issue, most of the vests were bigger for adults from medium to XXL and then about 4 youth vests. We brought our own fishing rods too but there was I think 3 extra adult ones and 3 kids ones, which 1 of our toddler used. We enjoyed the lake and outdoors a lot, nice view from the deck and the fireplace at night. The kitchen had mostly plastic dishes but we found the glass dishes in the bedroom closet closest to kitchen and used those to warm food. Basic condiments such as salt and pepper was there but bring ketchup, oil, and chili flakes if needed. Some of us from Canada used water bottles for drinking water as we found the tap water a bit different. All in all we had a great experience and had minimum communication with hosts as we had no problems at all. We would definitely recommend this place if anyone is travelling this way!

This was a great place for a long weekend getaway for both kids and adults. The kayaks and paddle boat provided were great. Host even have plenty of life jackets for everyone to use. The floating lily pad float tied to the end of the dock was great for relaxing on in the water. Check in was very easy and the host provided information on nearby attractions proton check in. The beds were very comfortable, and the inside space gave everyone room to spread out or hang out together. The lake was great and never very crowded. Excellent fishing from the pier, we caught lots of bluegill, perch, and bass. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything needed to cook, and had more than enough plates and silverware. There was a lot of outdoor seating available on both the top and lower decks, and there was never any need to rearrange chair from one spot to the other. Overall this was a fantastic spot and priced perfectly.
