Welcome to Haro Strait Haven - your little slice of heaven in the PNW. Relax and take in the peaceful surroundings in this 1-bedroom San Juan Island retreat. Located on the west side of the island, this adorable space features a cozy queen bed, bathroom, and kitchen with all the necessities for cooking a meal. Guests enjoy a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, with a private deck including a fire pit for spectacular sunset views. Cabin is 15 minutes from town, and 10 minutes from Lime Kiln State Park where resident Orcas are frequent visitors. Spy bald eagles, deer, foxes, humpbacks and orcas in Haro Strait, and incredible star gazing at night.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was exactly as described—beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We absolutely loved this place! It was a great studio apartment, had everything we needed and was located on a beautiful, quiet property, high on the mountain overlooking the Haro Strait. And the deck- it was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring and hiking! We utilized the Adirondack chairs, lit the fire pit, and enjoyed a glass of wine as we took in the beautiful scenery and lovely sunset. A truly relaxing stay!

We loved our stay in this cabin. It was a perfect little retreat to slow down. We sat outside by the fire pit and spent mornings waking up looking out at the water reading books and hoping to see a whale! Everything was so clean and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow for checkin/out.

We enjoyed a great stay here. The property was clean, communication was excellent and Sandra helped us with anything we needed! The deck and view is unbelievable. One night during our stay, we were able to hear orcas in the haro straight and ran to our car and drove 5 minutes away where we saw 20 orcas in the straight. We wouldn’t have been able to do that without this wonderful place!

We had the best stay at Haro Haven and would highly recommend. The view and deck were absolutely incredible- it was the highlight of our stay. We spent many hours outside enjoying the view and the fire pit each evening. The cottage itself had many thoughtful details like fleece blankets for enjoying the outdoors, bathroom incidentals, and a well supplied kitchen complete with half and half and coffee. Sandy and Mark were super pleasant and had all kinds of great recs for things to check out on the island. We loved how quiet it was at Haro Haven but accessible to Friday Harbor and all of the other sites we wanted to check out. Thanks for a super memorable stay!

We had the best time in Friday Harbor! Sandy was a wonderful host, very easy to communicate with, as well as a helpful guide as we navigated planning a last minute trip and a dream to see orcas on one of San Juan's busiest summer weekends. The apartment was quaint, well-stocked, and super cozy. And the views stunning. We loved reading on the porch, watching the sunset, and running to the Lime Kiln lighthouse. We were very sad to leave but will definitely book again next time we visit!

Very enjoyable quiet and private cabin with amazing views. Host communication was excellent. The cabin is well appointed. The kitchen has everything necessary and the bathroom has many daily necessities. Overall, a very relaxing and memorable stay.

This is by far one of the best vacation rentals I have seen! The owners are incredibly kind and very accommodating. We hope that it is a successful endeavor for them and that many other visitors enjoy the peace and relaxation on San Juan Island that my husband and I did.

We are both recent transplants to the San Juan Islands, by way of Texas. We fell in love with San Juan Islands, and after many years of vacationing here we took the plunge and moved here full time. We were drawn to the natural beauty and abundant nature the area is known for. We live in a quiet neighborhood on the west side of the island, overlooking the Olympic Mountain Range and Haro Strait. We love the peace and quiet here, but also love that its only 15 minutes to town. We are 10 minutes from Lime Kiln State Park which is a world renowned location for spotting the J, K, and L pods of the Southern Resident Orcas.

Our home is adjacent to the guest cabin, located on the west side of SJI with views of the Olympic Mountain Range and Haro Strait, with Canada in the distance. The sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing here are breathtaking. You never know when you will spot deer, foxes, or eagles from the house. We do have neighbors, and try to be respectful of everyone by observing quiet hours from 9pm to 8am.

We are located in a very quiet neighborhood, perfect for guests seeking peace and tranquility. At night the only sounds you will hear are owls and the occasional fox. The guest cabin is very comfortable and cozy, and has everything you need if you want to stay in and prepare a meal to eat outside on the deck. We are also only 15 minutes away from town, where there is plenty to do in the way of shopping, restaurants, and even a charming movie theater.
