San Juan Suites - Channel Room- Disembark from the ferry and within an easy walk, arrive at this centrally located second floor room in the heart of the quaint seaside village of Friday Harbor. With interior updates in 2020, the Channel Room is located within a stone's throw of specialty coffee shops, fine restaurants, galleries, and a variety of shopping options, with only a short stroll further to the SJ Community Theater or the Whale Museum.

This private room offers a King bed, full bath, comfortable easy chairs and an entertainment center with a DVD player and satellite TV for relaxing moments during your stay. This unit also has an ironing board and iron hanging in the closet. Complimentary coffee provided for the standard, drip-style coffeemaker to start the day, as well as a mini-fridge to keep things cool.

This room has good cell phone reception.

This property has an adjoining door with Valley Farm (Valley Farm is pet friendly), which can be unlocked for joint groups.

This unit is not recommended for those with a young child.

There is not an elevator in the building; climbing a flight of stairs is required.

Conveniently located just a short walk from the ferry for those wishing to leave their car behind on the mainland. However, parking is available for those who bring a car. One car per unit.

There is no laundry machine in this unit. If you are staying more than 3 nights, please call the office for fresh towels.

This unit is equipped with a mini-split heat/cool pump.

Really great location. Couldn't be better. Walking distance to everything. Room was good with small refrigerator but bedsheet was ripped way down one seam (kept catching my foot in the holes) and carpet needed a good washing.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect for us, as we were taking a course at the Whale Museum, and were 2 blocks from the ferry as well. we loved the moring walk along the shore and docks. the room was clean and comfortable.

We are sorry to hear of your poor experience! We professionally shampoo the carpets one to two times a year, but we’re sorry your arrival was prior to the carpet cleaning! Bleach is not used on the towels. We are sorry the stairs were a surprise; on our listing we state: “There is not an elevator in the building; climbing a flight of stairs is required.” We’d be more than happy to recommend a ground-floor unit that is more suited to your needs and desires if we have the opportunity to host you again on San Juan Island!

Perfect Location

We loved staying at your condo. It was the perfect size, and the best location. So convenient to wander around downtown and come back and rest when needed. Communication with host was speedy and they answered all my questions. Great place. I'll stay there again!

Nice

We had a nice room, although the view was so so. Could have used a microwave and drinking glasses. Location was fantastic— just steps from the ferry terminal. Enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place!

Friday Harbor is the cutest town, and this place is in the heart of the downtown. The location is so close to restaurants, coffee shops and the downtown shopping area. Everything is walkable. The room is about the size of a standard hotel room. It was very clean and comfortable. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend Friday Harbor.

Steps from the Ferry

Stay

Stay was nice, the location makes everything downtown within walking distance. The only problem we had was on our last night when a couple rented the room next to us brought their puppy and locked him in there room for four and a half hours of him crying and braking until they got home around 11 30 p.m

A few days in Friday Harbor

This was my second trip to FH. I was unable to rent the room from my last trip but very happy I found this one. The location was perfect and an easy walk to everything we needed. If I return again, I'll definitely pick this location however I'll book way ahead in order to get a room with a balcony. Everything was very clean and the scent of the Lavender store below was very inviting and soothing. Definitely would book again.

Was quiet other than a brief barking in the night from the dog of one of the other guests. Only thing we missed was no ice available (that we could find).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location to base your San Juan vacation. Easy walking to anything in town and the ferry terminal. If you have a car the parking space is a big plus. Overall the unit was very clean except the shower curtain was covered in black mold below, very disgusting, and the tub drain needs unclogged, immediately fills up and drains very slow. These two things should be an obvious red flag for any decent housekeeper. That said it wasn't enough to ruin our stay and overall we were happy with everything else about the unit.
