Enjoy this fully restored classic beach house in a quiet Seaside neighborhood. Two short blocks to the beach, the Ocean House features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, plus two other sleeping areas to comfortably accommodate up to nine friends or family members. It's warm and cozy with a high efficiency furnace plus new electric fireplace. You’ll find queen beds in the master bedroom and second bedroom and two single beds in the third bedroom. For your enjoyment after days on the beach, the house features a media room with new 50'' flat screen LED TV with Apple TV and Netflix for movie nights.

The house is fully restored in salvage fir & pine wood and it features a new kitchen and bathrooms as well as a new heating system, natural latex mattresses, and eco-friendly building materials for exceptional indoor air quality and comfort. This spacious, light-filled house is ideal as a retreat space, for family gatherings, or anytime the ocean beckons.

Centrally located in a quiet neighborhood just off the southern side of Seaside’s historic oceanside Promenade, the house is ideal for beach time, nearby golf, surfing at “the Cove,” and hiking Tillamook Head. For family fun, just a half mile away is Seaside’s famous Broadway Street of souvenir shops, bumper cars, cafes, and arcades.

Great location and very accommodating for our large family. Clean and comfortable with a nice yard for grandchildren and dog. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we can’t wait to come back!!!

The home was very comfortable for our family of 6. Extra plus was having a full bath between 2 of the bedrooms and the 3rd bedroom having a 3/4 bath. With the 1/2 bath off the T.V. room, there were no shortages of bathrooms for 4 adults and 2 little kids. Wonderful walkable neighborhood and quick walk to the beach. Dan was a.great Host and quick to reply to all messages and requests . Our family would definitely recommend Dan's vacation home for your next vacation to Seaside!

I loved this remodeled beach cabin. It suited my sensibilities. It felt very homey and I liked being close enough to walk to the beach and being in a quiet neighborhood, but close enough to walk to the downtown core. It might have felt a bit crowded if we had 8 people and a dog as originally planned...but as it turned out it was perfect for our 3 generation group of 6.

This was a great place for us to meet with family and have some beach time. There was plenty of space to gather and also to spread out. Everything we needed was provided -- even beach supplies. Parking in the driveway was easy and we had plenty of room. Our host left very detailed, but simple, instructions so checking in and out were easy. Everyone had a great time and we had perfect weather.

Dan is an amazing host. Communication and instructions were great. The property is cute and unique with a lot of beautiful built-in shelves. It’s super close to the beach and an easy walk to the Promenade. The house had everything we needed including children’s books which my son loved. My sister in law and I enjoyed having our coffee in the spacious living room.The only thing that was unexpected was that my husband found two earwigs in one of the twin beds in the guest room. It kept him up that night and we avoided that bed for the rest of the trip. The other beds were clean and bug-free. Overall, a really pleasant stay. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thanks, Dan!

Lovely location!

We loved our stay at this location! We had an easy walk to the beach for sunsets, and strolled the boardwalk for shopping. The home was clean and the kitchen was stocked with what we needed. Thank you!

We're a beach-loving Portland-based family with three kids (ages 17, 13, and 9) plus a German shepherd and young French bulldog. We love to hike Tillamook Head and run on the beach. Our kids boogie board and are learning to surf. Our experience restoring two 1907 houses in southeast Portland inspired our work on the Ocean House and, in particular, our commitment to making sure that our guests enjoy a healthy, creative space.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

After nearly two decades of visiting the north Oregon coast, we came upon the beach house in summer 2013. It hadn't been significantly worked on since the 1950s and we were inspired to purchase it and restore it with the goal of creating a long-term family retreat. We're excited to be able to share it with friends, family, and our VRBO guests.
