The Space:

This beautiful Gulf-front vacation rental includes patio doors in the living room leading to a private balcony that provides a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico. Pickleball courts are also nearby, so grab your paddles and have a friendly game together. Other features of this upgraded, West Indies-inspired vacation rental include upgraded cabinets and light fixtures, a full-size refrigerator, cooktop stove and oven, microwave and dishwasher, along with all the dishes, pots and utensils needed to prepare and serve meals. The bathroom includes a tub and a vanity, light fixture and cabinets. The living room has a TV, DVD player, VCR and a CD stereo system. The bedroom has a TV and a DVD player as well.



Things to Know

Complimentary beach service of one umbrella and two chairs is offered from March 1 through October 31. Paddleboards, kayaks, and bicycles are available for an additional charge.

All guests regardless of age are to be considered for Occupancy count in Fort Walton Beach, FL

Nice place on great beach

It was great place, only down fall is umbrellas and chairs are first come first serve, so you get up early you will get front row, if not you will be in the back row

Island Dunes 2-D

Our condo was very clean with plenty of amenities. We loved the view or the beach, and my children loved the pool. The only thing that kept it from being perfect would be the horrible bed! I feel like I need to visit a chiropractor after sleeping there.

Nice place but needs updating

Nice location but the beds were the worst I’ve probably ever experienced. Floors were also dirty. Otherwise nice place

Not impressed

Room had been smoked in, shower knob was missing and mattress has a very bad bow in the center. Was told the mattress issue had been taken care of prior to booking. Wyndham took care of us and moved us to a new room.

Fantastic location but ......

We love the location in general and of this unit especially. Close to the stairs to run up and down yet away from the noisy pool. The beach chair boys are great! The beach is not really crowed. 👍. But .... The bed is atrocious .... and they know it. Even when you mention it to the staff they laugh and say “yeah, we know”. We tried the sleeper sofa after the first night but I had to move back to bed. After that I slept on the bed and she slept on the sofa with the cushions on it. That tells you something .... spend a week at the beach and voluntarily sleep in separate rooms. Nope .... not again.

Our stay at Island Echo 2

Unit was very clean, nicely decorated, and the ocean view from the living room and the balcony was amazing!!!!! Best part of the condo!!! Everything was just right other than an issue with the queen bed. I mentioned it in our Vacasa review when we returned home. The mattress has a 6-8" foam topper on it which causes you to sink down in a hole and you can't change sleeping positions very well or climb out of the bed very well. Someone in another review said it was too soft but this was much more than that. My wife and I aren't picky people and my wife slept in the bed and did the best she could. I had brought an inflatable aero bed which I used in the living room. I think a run of the mill conventional queen mattress would work much better. Other than that the place was perfect and we loved our time there!!!!!

Not the Best

Ok. Concerning my experience with Vacasa; I have to admit, I saw some viral videos about how it was renting through them and to be frank, I avoided using them at all cost prior to this trip, and for that main reason alone. We spent 4days in a luxury rental and enjoyed our time so much we booked last minute a couple of extra days, and we’re forced to book with Vacasa if we wanted to stay. Booking was easy, they did communicate and the rental was exactly what the listing said it would be, (kinda, I’ll get to that) so yes booking with them was great. No hidden fees, and plenty of rooms to choose from. However, I feel like the pic was misleading, either that or it was a old pic or maybe I just wasn’t paying close attention. Whoever rents this unit should be ashamed, making extra cash flow and not putting any of the money back into the rental. Everything is outdated, decor, trash.. furniture, trashier, looks like lazy boy from the early 90s. Disgusting looking and not comfortable at all. Stains on couch. Sand all over the sheets in the bedroom. The chairs coushions outside were so gross. Filth all over them. A simple wash would suffice. No curtain in bedroom so the light from outside seeps through while you’re trying to lay down. No extra amenities. The pillows are paper thin. I would compare this unit to one of those budget hotel on the side of the road. I never could get comfortable because I felt like something was gonna crawl out of the couch. No Netflix, no streaming. Offers a DVD player, why?? Not sure. I mean I could go on and on. It was just bad. The view was nice, for the second floor and the pool was so small and crowded. Whoever rents this place does not care about leaving a lasting impression or whether you will come back or not. Also, pullout couch came with two flat sheets for the cover, and the bedroom had a thin blanket a tiny bit thicker than the two flat sheets. It sucked really bad. The only good I have to say, is that I did not see any bugs, and being that I kept my eyes peeled the whole time expecting to see something and I didn’t, I guess it’s good. Keep scrolling y’all or just go home.
