Oceanfront serenity awaits the two of you at Ocean Wind Retreat, a very romantic getaway spot for 2. Sauna and 4-person size soaking tub with ocean view. Dog friendly, yard off deck, view of the light house, queen bed, TV and WIFI. There is a full bath with a tub/shower combination. The front room has a kitchenette: fridge, coffee maker, micro-wave, toaster, electric wok (there is no oven or range) and utensils. A gas Cuisinart BBQ is available for private use by the deck on the ocean side of the front yard.

The front room has a Captains Bed perched high to optimize comfort and the scenery outdoors. Step outside to a spacious oceanfront deck and yard, or seek out the path overlooking the beach with love seat and complete privacy. A large indoor soaking tub, beautifully tiled, with ocean view and an indoor sauna add to the rest and relaxation of this wonderful retreat! The bedroom: queen bed, open closet, dresser, TV and "fire" light for ambience, has a view of the light house. Host provides flowers and gift basket free of charge.

A favorite vacation, birthday and honeymoon spot. Located at the South end of Nye Beach in Newport, OR, just next door to Georgie's Beach side grill for scrumptious dining. Enjoy the Newport Performing Arts Center, many area restaurants, art galleries, wine tasting and several music venues. Less than 3 minutes to the Newport Bayfront, Hatfield Marine Science Center or the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Walking distance to two parks.

This apartment is on the ground floor, with a permanent residence above where the host/owner is available if needed. A wonderful location for the artist, writer, editor or anyone just seeking quiet solitude for inspiration. Please adhere to the policy of No Smoking. One dog is allowed; call owner regarding extra pet.

This unit was very clean and had a very thoughtful host. When we walked in the door, there was a tray with a dog toy and dog treats! And for us humans, she had left a very wonderful food basket with the most delicious cheese, cookies, wine, olives and crackers to mention a few of the many things within that basket. We really enjoyed our stay. Put together a cute puzzle in the evening, and enjoyed the sunset from the chairs above the beach. While the home is on the beach, it sits high up, on a little kind of cliff. So while there is not direct access to the beach, beach access is next door down a long zig zag set of stairs. Also, the home is a fairly short walk to a park with public access to the beach. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay. There is nothing like the smell, sound, and sight of the ocean on the Oregon coast.

A great place to get away on the Oregon coast. It was a return stay and we will very likely do it again. Very convenient to everything you may need or want to do. Jeannie is a great host, and provides a very personal touch which is appreciated. Provides great access to the beach for a walk every morning to Nye Beach.

This place was better than advertised! Perfect view of the beach framed by trees from the kitchen window. The hot tub was amazing! All the personal touches and beautiful decor made the stay even more enjoyable. The location is incredible. This place is a gem and we will be back!

Jeanne is a wonderful host very kind woman every time I come back to Newport. This is the place I’m going to stay. You have easy access to the beach and the stairs are wonderful especially for us older women who need to keep our toes a little tighter every now and then there’s a playground right next to us as well so it’s highly recommended.

We didn't use the hot tub but the sauna was absolutely amazing. Jeannie was absolutely an amazing host. Couldn't of adked for a better one. The view was so amazing of the ocean from the living room and the deck. There's also a cute bench below to see it better. The stairs down to the beach can be a little much if your not used to it but still has a beautiful beach to hang out at with your pets.

Great place! Charming, quiet, cozy, clean, very comfortable bed! Stairway to the beach right outside the gate. 7 minute walk to Nye Beach hub for dining; and there is a very good restaurant right next door too.

The place is just as cute and charming as pictured, the host had treats and a toy for our dog and fresh flowers, and it’s in an amazing location with beach access and walkable to restaurants and shops.

This lovely spot, set on a bluff in the heart of Newport, was perfect for our "Winter week away"! We (and our Dog Dot) were welcomed to spectacular Pacific Coastal Views, and by a variety of thoughtful amenities provided by our host. The adjacent stairway to the beach gave us the chance to walk, and let our dog run on the beach every day. It is close to both the Nye Beach and Harbor areas, as well as -- great places to enjoy excellent food and restful hours!

Our stay was perfect. Jeannie is an amazing Host! She went above and beyond to make Bunny and I feel at home. Including welcome treats for us both! She was always ready with recommendations or suggestions when asked, but also gave us privacy. We loved the cozy space, the sauna and the super comfortable bed. And you cannot beat the view (stunning!) or proximity to the beach. I would 100% recommend this home, the location and the host! Will definitely return!

Perfect location to explore Oregon coast.

My wife and I stayed here for a week and everything was perfect. Home was clean and well cared for, host was attentive and communicative, and the location cannot be beat. Highly recommended!

I live with two Abyssinian cats, a Parson Russell terrier, and enjoy my pony and horse three miles from the beach.

I love getting the apartment ready for guests with an eye for special touches - so that upon entering, the guests will feel someone was excited about their arrival.
