The home known as the 'Oscar Mayer House' and built by the Oscar Mayer family is now available as a vacation rental in Palm Springs.

Come soak up some sun and fun in this stylish gem built by the Oscar Mayer family here in Palm Springs! Boasting 'Classic '50s' architecture and spectacular views of Mt. San Jacinto, approximately 2,550 square feet of living space welcomes you to bask in the Palm Springs lifestyle. The home is decorated with a mid-century modern flair while remaining comfortable and inviting. The living room features two sitting areas, easy access to the outdoors, a 46' flatscreen television with a DVD player, and a cozy fireplace for ultimate comfort. The kitchen is well appointed with kitchen essentials and modern appliances, so preparing gourmet meals for your family and guests on the tile countertops will be a breeze. When days heat up, large glass doors open up to the inviting pool area offering refreshing water, ample lounge chairs, and those majestic mountain views.

WHAT'S NEARBY
This home is well suited for a relaxing Palm Springs getaway, located in a quiet neighborhood in South Palm Springs and just minutes away from downtown. Before heading into the hustle and bustle of the city, take a morning to spend time soaking in the unique desert landscape with a hike at Tahquitz Canyon just one mile west. If you are ready to go explore the shops and restaurants of downtown, simply hop on the games Palm Canyon Drive! There will be endless places to check out, so be sure to take your time and find your own favorite hangouts! This area is also known for celebrity homes, so driving around various neighborhoods will spoil the architecturally inclined guests!

-Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
-The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

Fabulous location in the heart of Palm Springs. Everything was a 10 min drive. We came for Modernism week and it was great to stay in a modernist home. The home was well equipped and very clean

We had a great time at this house. It had everything we needed, lots of space for each of us--we took a girls trip and there were four of us. The location was wonderful. We hope to be back!

Great house! Much bigger than it looks. The pool and hot tub were awesome. You're about a 10 min drive from everything; easy Ubers. Pretty and quiet cul de sac too. Management very responsive and helpful to help heat the spa when it was being tricky. Great stay!

Great location in a quiet and historical neighborhood! Spacious house and lovely backyard. Great for 2 or more couples staying as a group. If you plan on using the kitchen, bring your own condiments, etc. including coffee beans(!) as the pantry is bare.

This was one of the nicest rentals we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. The cleanliness as a true 5 stars. The amenities were exactly as described. We loved walking through the beautiful neighborhood. We will definitely be coming back.

The house is lovely. Immaculately clean. We tried to leave it just as clean if not better. The info in the book about the house is a bit out of date, but we figured most of it out. We could not figure out how to turn off the pool heater, as the book is out of date, but suspect you have someone to do that. Thank you for a wonderful stay

The Oscar Mayer house was perfect for our girls trip! The house captures the MCM style inside and out and the layout was perfect for each of us to have our own room and bathroom. The neighborhood is all permanent residents and so pristine and quiet. If you plan on having “gatherings” outside around the pool with music, this is not the place for you as there is a strict no outside music ordinance. BUT, if you want to relax and unwind in a comfortable home… this is DEFINITELY the place to be. I rated the communication with property manager as 2 stars… but don’t let that deter you. The home changed management companies a week before our stay and the issue was getting the new company to respond to give us the code for the door. Once here, Jared, the property manager was super responsive to our inquiries. I would think the snafu with the company will smooth out as they get further out from the transition. But, short answer… this house, home, is absolutely wonderful and all 3 of us agreed we’d come back again… AND schedule in more downtime to enjoy the pool/patio and home a bit more.

Great location and price!

The location of this house is amazing, 5 minutes to downtown. The living room area is amazing, with tons of comfortable seating and nice big screen TV. The pool was the highlight for me! Great size and with an amazing mountain view!! Only negative would be that the bathrooms are kind of outdated and could use a refresh. But in all fairness, there was a note in the house that they're in the process of updating a lot of the wiring and electrical in the house, so maybe the bathrooms are next.

Oscar Mayer House continues to please.

This is a totally mid century Palm Springs style house. It's spacious, comfortable and the location is great. On a quiet cul de sac, close to downtown. Nice views from the pool area which has plenty of relaxing space in the sun as well as the shade.

Vacation Ready

This Palm Springs vacation rental was just as advertised and "vacation ready". You could simply check in and enjoy. Unlike so many vacation homes this house was conveniently stocked with necessary household items: hand soap, garbage bags, cleaners etc. All the staff at Vacation Palm Springs was great.
