This house was spotless and the kitchen was stocked with staples. I always appreciate having salt and pepper!! This property is great if you are traveling with small children. The bed in the second bedroom is small… I don’t know how comfortable adults would be in this bed. I was traveling for work (by myself) and this house was perfect!

Host communicated very well. Quiet neighborhood. Small old house that's been updated, worked well for the 2 of us. Driveway and walkway could use more gravel for times like this where they've had a lot of rain.

This house is perfect for a couple and a child with 2 bedroom arrangements. However, I stayed there alone during my trip. It was a perfect location for parking at the nearby mall and shuttling to the Iowa State Fair! I liked the off street parking. It was clean with working appliances.

Nice little old house in a quiet neighborhood. I felt safe and comfortable. Very close to the airport and shopping. Great location. Glad to be able to park in a driveway. The house did have a bit of a bad smell and the air fresheners were a bit much. Had an issue with the door lock but got it fixed and the owner was responsive.

The house had a terrible smell and there were plug ins in every room and I’m allergic to them, so we had to removed them. The smell of mothballs was terrible too, you should not use that at all, it is very unpleasant. House was clean and cozy.

Thank you for bringing the unpleasant smell to our attention, and we sincerely apologize for the discomfort it caused during your stay. We investigated the issue and discovered that recent heavy rain caused water to drain into the basement, which was the source of the odor. We are addressing the drainage and basement issue to prevent it from happening again. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Great value for the price point. The only thing I would caution is there are a lot of air fresheners so very strong odor so if you’re sensitive to smells might not be the best option. Owner was very responsive. Nice off street parking. Nice little fenced in yard. Overall nice and way better than a hotel room.

Honestly every single thing about this location and stay was top notch, but it had an awful odor inside of it. Genuinely, it smelt like walking into an assisted living facility. Other than the horrible scent, it was perfect and everything we were looking for!

We are sorry to hear your stay was not comfortable. We work hard to maintain our home, and based on our records and subsequent inspections, we did not find any issues. Your reply to our requests for expression of any concern during your stay was that everything was perfect. We wish you had informed us during your stay so we could have addressed this.

Our stay was comfortable. The host was attentive to our needs. And the house was in a quiet neighborhood &, happily, far away from the hoopla of the Iowa State Fair (which was the reason of our trip to DM.)

Overall a very cute space. Host did come rescue me when I accidentally locked the wrong lock. I had to clean some dishes that didn’t get cleaned before I got there, and there were a few other spills that did appear to be cleaned before we got there. It was in a lovely neighborhood and reasonably priced but there were some cleaning things I wasn’t super happy about, but it could have been a fluke, so I might stay there again if we are in the area.
