Boasting a private hot tub, this four-bedroom home also includes 10 SHARC passes, granting your group access to all the fabulous onsite amenities you know and love including, indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, lazy river, waterpark, tennis and basketball courts. Plus, two on-site golf courses and hors-back riding excursions are available for an additional fee. Challenge friends and family to a battle royale in the garage-game room equipped with ping-pong and foosball, or take one of the available bikes out for a cruise along the miles of paths and trails. Afterward, relax with a soothing dip in the private hot tub. Make the most of blue-sky days with a backyard barbecue using the gas grill provided.
The home's spacious, two-story layout allows the whole group to spread out in comfort. The main floor's open-concept design promotes group gathering, blending the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Sloping ceilings in the living room allow for plenty of natural light with a river rock hearth and fireplace providing cozy, rustic ambiance. Sink into the plush sofa seating for a game night or to watch your favorite shows on the flatscreen TV. The chef in the group will find everything needed for easy meal-prep - the dishwasher can take care of the cleanup. A built-in breakfast bar includes seating for three and everyone can eat together at the dining table set for eight.
The primary bedroom and one other guest room can be found on the main floor. Featuring an en suite bathroom, the primary bedroom also includes private access to the deck and hot tub. The second guest room has access to a full bathroom shared with the rest of the household. Two bedrooms are located upstairs, each with direct access to a shared, full bathroom.
Nearby, Mt. Bachelor, offers winter recreation while hiking, mountain biking, and water activities on the Deschutes River provide plenty of outdoor fun throughout the rest of the year. We’ve been coming to Sunriver for over 30 years, so we know the area well and have a good understanding of what to expect from a summer stay. Unfortunately, this home did not meet the standard we’ve come to expect, especially considering the premium price we paid.Cleanliness was a major disappointment. The carpets felt dirty, there were issues in the bathrooms when we arrived, and basic supplies were lacking…there was no soap in the bathrooms and only one dishwasher pod provided for our entire nine-day stay. The oven also did not work well, and the upstairs master bedroom was missing lightbulbs. We contacted maintenance about the bulbs, but no one ever came to replace them. The deck was also very weathered and had missing nails, which required us to call maintenance during our stay. He was the only bright spot in dealing with Avari.The location is also worth noting. The home is near the Sunriver wastewater treatment facility, and there were times when the smell was noticeable. This may not bother everyone, but we felt it was important to mention for future guests.Overall, the home felt like a property that was being rented while it was on the market, and unfortunately, it showed. We paid top dollar expecting a fun comfortable summer stay, but the condition lack of attention to basic details made the experience disappointing. We love Sunriver will absolutely continue coming back…we just wouldn’t choose this particular home again, or rent with Avari properties
