Unwind at Mountain Lakes Resort in a rustic Alpine Ranch chalet with an amazing view of the horses grazing below. The historic and famous Alpine Helen is just a few miles away and there is much to see in the beautiful North Georgia mountains.
Guests find a cozy main floor bedroom with a queen bed and a spacious loft with 2 twin beds, plus a living room with a sofa bed in most units. Each unit has a full kitchen including microwave and coffee pot, and a bathroom with tub/shower. The space stays comfortable year-round with heating and A/C. This fantastic spot offers a welcoming retreat for your next getaway. The resort offers many amenities including 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, putt putt, weight room and more! ** It is important to know that there is an AMENITY FEE REQUIRED to enter this private resort. The cost for passes is $8.00 per day per adult (16 & over), $5.00 per day per child (6 to 15), children 5 and under are FREE. CALL MICHELLE TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS AND PAY FOR YOUR PASSES. We loved our stay at Alpine Ranch! The cabin was very cozy and had everything we could possibly need. Our grandchildren loved having their own space in the loft and they slept very comfortably. There are so many things to do, horseback riding, swimming and there was a great cafe on the property, along with a friendly and helpful staff. We are looking forward to returning very soon!

It was great, the lady even came by with a light bulb because one was out. The view was beautiful. Everything was great and will definitely be back

Everything was amazing with our stay. If we needed anything June and her husband were there. Alot to do on the property even tho we didnt really have time to check out everything but will definitely be back.

I stayed here with a group of friends and we loved it. Listing says it sleeps 6 and the property lives up to that promise, with 2 twin beds, a queen master bed, and a large pull out sofa. Our unit was clean and fully stocked for our stay except for some missing forks. It wasn’t very modern, but the appliances (dish washer, washer and dryer) worked well and the TV has Roku. The owner was very responsive when we needed help checking in and the resort area is huge. All of the staff was friendly and theres plenty to do without even leaving the resort, such as several pools, a diner, a general store, fishing locations, and horseback riding. Its a great place to stay on a budget and we wished we could have stayed longer.

The unit we stayed in was very outdated and needs a few things to be replaced. -Bed mattresses were worn out and most of the furniture needs replaced. -Stairs to the front door are a bit risky for elderly folks. -Trim the trees a bit out back for a better view of the meadow.-The fireflies were fun to watch!-The 8 per day per person for swimming was a bit much I thought.

I first want to say our chalet and the host was not an issue at Mountain Lakes Resort during our stay August 13th-16th. Prior to reserving our short vacation we read previous reviews. One was documented 2 out 10 as far as the amenities offered there. Another was noted as 5 out of 10 regarding the amenities. I took a chance hoping the issues would have been corrected since the time they were documented. However, they were not. The diner wasn’t open, the swimming pool located by the diner was filled with algae, the basketball court was overgrowing with grass and had only one hoop. Also, there was a putt putt course that was overgrown and had not been taken care of. We visited the main clubhouse which smelled of mold and mildew upon entrance. The pool there was filled with water but was also full of leaves and trash. We were told it was usable even in that shape. The hot tub/sauna was CLOSED. A 96 fee was REQUIRED (not optional) for the use of the amenities which there really were none. We were told by our host the park is under new management and they had not had time to accomplish much. We respectfully asked for a refund of that amount but was denied. We wish these people well and hope they can get it back in good condition. The mountains and the Vince Gill concert were certainly the highlights of our stay, however, I can say that we would not stay in Mountain Lakes Resort again.

It was a good place to stay… not luxury but I was not expecting that because the price was so reasonable! The chalet was clean except for some mud smeared on the bathroom floor in front of washer. Location was great. Only 20 minutes to Helen. I would book again.

Peaceful property with a view of the riding facilities. Horses in the pasture every morning. Close to Helen with its many German style restaurants.

We had a nice stay at Alpine Ranch Villa. The chalet was reasonably priced and surprisingly spacious for our small family, providing ample room to relax. The property around the rental was beautiful and great for morning and evening walks. The host was attentive and always responded promptly to any questions we had throughout our stay.The only downside—outside of the host's control—was that several resort amenities were closed for repairs during our visit, including the waterslide, diner, internet service, and spa. Families, like ours, who are planning to spend most of their time enjoying the resort activities may want to call ahead and specifically ask about any closures. We did not see any notices on the website, and nothing was mentioned when we called to confirm our resort passes. Some may want to note that many of the resort facilities are aged and needing some updates. Despite the limited availability of some amenities, we still had a good trip and enjoyed the clubhouse pools and game room. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would consider returning.
