i have to say the place is absolutely PERFECTLY located in the center of the foodie neighborhood of old port. there is no reason to have a car as dining and day trips (tour whale lobster boats 2 blocks away) and shops are adjacent in every direction for blocks. special bonus is the host Joseph who responds immediately and even leaves his personal cell on the fridge for text or call. i reached out to him for several reasons…. where’s his favorite best lobster roll, where to get a haircut, where to buy booze…. he had excellent advise. it’s like you’re getting a bonus concierge counter attendant for no added charge!

Portland has a thriving food scene and this apartment puts you right in the middle of it all! We walked to dinner, the pier, and the arts district. There is easy access to the ferry, too. The host gave us a detailed document after booking which not only clearly outlined the logistics of the apartment, but was also a fantastic resource for the area that included parking and restaurant recommendations. The booking and checking in process was super easy, as was entry/access to the apartment. While we didn't have intentions of using the tv, we had a fun impromptu movie night and enjoyed the very large screen. We appreciated how very clean and modern the apartment was (cleaner than some hotels I have stayed in). The host was kind, gracious, and unintrusive. Since the location puts you in the middle of the Old Port, know that some evening street noise from those out enjoying summer cocktails will come with it. Graciously, the host left complementary ear plugs in each bedroom. Most of the time it was pretty quiet. We've stayed in our share of Vrbo (and similar) places and, while this host may be new to the scene, this little spot delivered as advertised. Thank you, JT!

Host was very thorough with instructions and also provided great restaurant suggestions. Rental was very clean and super convenient to downtown Portland. I’d rent this unit again in a heartbeat.

This was the perfect home base for our girls trip to Portland! It was super clean, spacious, and the location was wonderful!! Our host was incredibly responsive and we didn’t have any issues!

The apartment was a great location for shopping & eating within walking distance. Our family of 5 (5 adult size people) were perfectly comfortable! JT is a great host , quick to respond. We would highly recommend & stay again!

host is likely new. property was just what we were looking for. We needed to know the apartment number before we arrived. We actually thought it was a town house with a one or two apartments, rather it was a small apartment building. Also a note provided by the host on the property re: how to work the air conditioning/heating, what to do with the trash and recycling would have been useful. It would have been useful to know that on street parking overnight is allowed and free in Portland. These are small complaints. The apartment was immaculate and just as pictured. The host replied promptly and appropriately to all queries. It was not inexpensive, but given the location and quality of the property, we felt the price was fair. Portland is a fun place to visit and this property sits in the middle of Old Port
