Cute little apartment with everything needed. Close to lots of stores and restaurants. Host responsive to any messages. Would stay there again.

Owner was great, super easy to work with and get a hold of. Made sure I had everything I needed. Made everything very comfortable and seamless.

There were some hiccups, but our host went above and beyond to address them. The coffee maker had moldy coffee grounds. He not only went out and bought a new coffee maker and coffee, but he also bought my friend and I large Dunkin coffees and a dozen donuts to make up for it. One evening when we came back from the fair, the downstairs tenant had a friend over who took up our parking spot, so I called the host to ask where we should park. He immediately got ahold of the tenant and his friend moved his car. It wasn't a big deal, but he issued a partial refund for the inconvenience. Check-in was easy enough. Just grab the keys from the designated spot and head on up. The location was great. A lot close by and right on the main drag, very easy to find. Cleanliness was subpar. It was organized and everything was easy to find, but it was pretty dusty. It could use a good deep cleaning. But I still give this one 5 stars because the host was very responsive and addressed everything immediately. Not too bad for a being a newbie and it was by far the cheapest I could find last minute for the fair.

Pros: very close to Crouse hospital and clinic where I was training. Host is very nice and available through texting/calls for all problems and questions. Host provided TV and laundry room for use during weekdays, which was in addition to the VRBO listing. Host also cleaned used bed sheet sets for me, and provided occasional snacks for me which was nice.Cons: Air vent in bathroom was filthy and full of debris when I got there, which I think was attracting fleas… Toward end of my stay I spotted a mouse one time when I left bagged bread in the cupboard. Minor problem with a wasp getting in the unit everyday or every other day. A/C portable unit worked reasonably well for most of my month long stay, but there was a 95 degree week in July where it really didn’t circulate enough through the unit and it was very uncomfortable - host provided a box fan at that time which didn’t help much (unit is on the top floor of an old triplex). Host issued a small partial refund in response to these problems, and stated he would put out more mouse traps/address other issues going forward.

Justin, thank you for the thorough review. After reading it, we cleaned the vent in the bathroom, sealed any areas where wasps could have gotten in, and did an inspection and set traps for mice. We are working on better insulating the place so it doesn’t get so hot on the very hot days.
