The property newly renovated and very clean. The host was super communicative and texted me throughout my stay to help with various bits and bobs. The water was hot and the water pressure was great. The house was located perfectly located near the beach and the host offered 4 chairs and beach passes for us to use. (I mistakenly packed the beach passes and I had to send them back to the host overnight. She was so patient when the Fedex had a delay.) One issue I had was that the apartment we rented only had access to the back patio. The back patio was lovely but it was in the back and only had a view of the cars. The upstairs rental had access to the front porch which is sooooo much nicer than the back. I think access to the front porch is a crucial to the enjoying the beach community and only having access to the back patio severely inhibits that beach community connection. I sat alone on the porch very early one morning and was "reminded" by the host that we only had access to the back patio. It was a gentle reminder but it was shame as the porch can be shared if both rentals are occupied. Lastly, I could not lock the side door and my whole party tried to lock it without success. I even reached out to the host to ask for the "trick" to lock it but I was not able lock the door. It left us feeling slightly uneasy but thankfully we did not have any unsafe and unwanted visitors. Overall, the house was lovely and we would stay again if we visited the area in the future.
