Kings Beach Chalet Retreat with Jacuzzi

This cabin is a two-story, 4 BR/2 BA in a quiet neighborhood on the North Shore. Lovely, themed cabin kitchen. Wrap around bench seating in the dining room. The kitchen, living and dining area has an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and a gas fireplace. A spacious deck with wrap around seating is ideal for family and friend gatherings. Or relax in the private 5 people hot tub beneath the deck.

To adhere to local ordinance each room sleeps 2 adults- 2 of our rooms are set up for families.

Also, bring all your toys! Located on the first floor-a bonus room that is ideal for storage for all sorts of play gear! This is a generously-sized recreation room that has a bathroom, washer/dryer, Foosball, and old-school style stand-up video game (12 games). Great entertainment for the kids!

This cabin is centrally located within ski resorts, the Kings Beach State Recreation Area, shopping, dining, casinos and golfing. Just minutes from Northstar and just a quick drive to Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, Mt. Rose and Diamond Peak ski resorts. A five-minute walk will get you to the white sands of Lake Tahoe, boat ramp and water sport rentals. For gambling, casinos are a five-minute drive across the California/Nevada border. USFS land a few blocks away, with many multi-use trails. Great for hiking, biking, snowshoeing, 4-wheeling...endless. Plus some great views of the lake. This house is near all the activity!

House was as advertised. Very comfy. Very close to hot spots in town. Definitely saving this place for future trips. House comfortably fit 6 adults and 4 kids.

Awesome place!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The one thing was hard for us was to manage the garbage because of the bears was hard to leave it outside and the garbage was full pretty much the whole time we were there. So that was not fun!!! Also, the grill was advertise and was missing and we had planned to grill a lot so we ended up having to buy a smaller grill - other than that it was great!!!

Awesome little cabin in Kings Beach. Not far from the beach and walking distance everything in town. We stayed there for my annual family reunion at Sand Harbor and loved our little get away. Plenty of room for all of us, games to keep the kids entertained and a hot tub as well. Place was clean with a rustic feel to it and plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing. Will look for it next year when we come back.

Great summer getaway

This place was great and we loved our stay. Walking distance to Kings Beach and had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Perfect location. Great family home

We loved the hot tub, foosball, and darts. Super close to restaurants and town. Lots of snow while we were there so didn’t get to enjoy deck/bbq but those would be nice in the summer. In the summer you also could walk to lake.

Cozy Cabin in excellent location

Great family vacation! Location was walking distance to beach, golf, mini golf, kayaks, water sport rentals, restaurants, and even Catholic church. Kids enjoyed the video games downstairs. The blue jays were beautiful and we even got to see a bear. Thanks for the good time👍

Nice house with lots of beds

We loved the abundance of beds in this house. Kids didn't have to share :) We didn't spend too much time at the house between boating and river floating but we enjoyed the amenities and proximity to King's Beach.

Fun amenities & very organized

Plenty of space for our group of 10. Both kids and adults enjoyed the arcade games, foosball table and hot tub, which was nice because the weather kept us indoors most of the time. When we did go out, it was an easy walk to the beach and stores/restaurants. The Christmas tree was a nice touch. The detailed instructions and labels throughout the house answered any questions we might have had. Thanks for the pleasant stay!

spring break ski vacation

We spent wonderful time at this place! Shared a house with another family of friends to spent time with kids (9,13,18) during the spring break. Property is located perfectly for skiers -(10 minutes drive to North Star), and for lake Tahoe lovers (10 minutes walk to the lake shore). The house has plenty of space and have everything you need to stay for several days. The only minor issue to notice -the second bathroom on the lover level is fairly cold in winter - need to have quite a strong will to take shower there in the morning, so upper-level bathroom gets a line when everyone need to wash up . Other than that -no problem, perfect place, strongly recommend.

Beautiful Spacious Character Filled Cabin

My friends and I stayed here for two nights when we were travelling the West Coast. This house has everything, hot tub, games room, BBQ, spacious living areas and bedrooms. It's in a beautiful setting of Lake Tahoe. The owners were more than accommodating. Any queries were answered in minutes of making contact. It's a beautiful house with everything you could need. I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to stay in Lake Tahoe for any reason, perfectly suited us young Irish travellers but would also be perfect family vacation home. Could not recommend this lovely home any more! Very clean which is always important! Thank you to the owners for our wonderful stay. One of the most beautiful parts of the world we've seen with a gorgeous house to enjoy it in.

Great location for family vacation

This house is in a great location, right in Kings Beach, so you're walking distance to lot's of great activities. The house was well equipped for kids, with games and a high-chair. We especially liked using the radio flyer wagon to truck the kids and towels down to the beach (or more accurately, back up from the beach later on when they were tired). The layout of the house was nice, with a door in the hallway to close off the two back bedrooms from the noise in the front of the house, and the game-room downstairs was perfect for when others wanted to stay up later and be away from those sleeping upstairs. The deck was nice and we enjoyed eating out at the picnic table. And the hot tub was clean and easy to use. This house isn't new by any stretch, but it's in good shape and had everything we needed. If we come back we'd consider renting this property again. A food note - we had some excellent tacos at La Mexicana just down the street.

Summer Fun in Kings Beach

Our family stayed at the Kings Beach Chalet Retreat for a week in mid-July and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect for short hikes right out the door in the foothills or down to Kings Beach. My two young boys (5, 7) enjoyed the game room downstairs, including the video arcade and bumper pool. I enjoyed the puzzles and other games in the upstairs closet. My husband's favorite treat was the hot tub. There was also an amazing video and DVD collection to keep everyone entertained. We had family come to visit throughout our stay, and there was plenty of room to accommodate 3 other couples after moving our boys into the bunk beds in the master bedroom with us. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Great fun in Kings Beach

Our family had a wonderful time here. Plenty of space and privacy. Kids loved the game room and the hot tub. Spent time walking to mini golf and the beach between our games. Loved hanging out on the deck. Sadly, we lost my daughters prized golden state warriors sweatshirt somewhere in the house. Thanks so much!

Charming with plenty of space.

The house is older but charming. The house comes fully furnished with all the amenities of home. We loved the huge wraparound deck with all it's seating space. Kings Beach, with all it's attractions is a short walk (8-10 blocks). The casinos of North Shore are a short drive also. I wish we had found this house when our children were still young and at home as they would have loved it here with the huge backyard, hot tub and close proximity to the Kings Beach area. We were a little disappointed that there was no air conditioning since it was fairly warm inside at night although I understand that few Tahoe houses offer it. Not a great location if you are looking for a peaceful setting as the house is located on what seems to be a busy "short cut" street. but that didn't matter much to us as we were here to enjoy Tahoe, not sleep. The owners, who also manage the property, were extremely nice and prompt in dealing with a problem we had with the stove. They actually offered to have a brand new one delivered and installed that very day even though it was simply one burner that had malfunctioned. For a large party or a couple of families with children, it would be hard to beat the value of this property.

Loved, loved, loved the place! It was perfect for our family of all boys! It rained most of the time when we were there, so it was nice to have a game room and hot tub to keep busy.

We go up to our house in Kings Beach with family and friends. We enjoy hiking, biking, water sports, ice skating, rock climbing, snow boarding, dirt biking, skiing and camping in our Westfalia.

We bought the house in 2004. As much as we love being up there, it is also a lot of work maintaining a vacation rental.

We enjoy walking or riding bikes to the lake. In wintertime we snowshoe behind the house on the Brockway Summit/USFS land. Both our children have started to ski!!! They also love to ice skate at Northstar! We love to hike and trek the trails. Great views of Lake Tahoe! My husband enjoys mountain and dirt biking on the trails during the summer and rock climbing. Our extended family come and enjoy summer with us. Lots of lake time then!
