This quiet private cottage has all of the comforts of home but is close to everything...

The White House is situated on a 180 acre private estate that has been family-owned since the 1890's & is located within the gates of Colleton River .* You will enjoy escaping it all as you enter the property down a winding country road beneath majestic live oaks.

Slated to be demolished in the 1980's, The White House was saved and moved to its current location at Victoria Bluff Plantation. It has been remodeled and has all of the comforts of home. Enjoy tranquility surrounded by pasture, woods & lovely marsh views from your expansive porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sunrise over Mackay's Creek.

Should you decide to venture out, beaches, golf & tennis on Hilton Head Island are just a short drive away, as is old town Bluffton. Or perhaps a day trip may be store to Historic Beaufort, Savannah or Charleston.

If you enjoy boating, there is ample space to store your boat or kayaks and take advantage of the numerous public boat landings in the area.

For those looking to get away from it all with the option of plenty to do, The White House is the perfect fit.

This property was the perfect place to sit on the porch to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the beauty of the low country marsh lands. Beautifully furnished and decorated. The host was readily available if needed. I highly recommend for anyone looking to be near Hilton Head but be away from the hectic tourist areas.

Our weekend getaway to the White House was amazing. Beautiful property with great views. Very private and quiet, but close to all Bluffton and Hilton Head offer. Easy check in and Host was very communicative.Will definitely book again!

Colleton River Plantation

This is our second visit, and once again, it was a thoroughly relaxing, spacious home in an ideal setting. Our host was always accessible, and communication was excellent. We hope to return.

Always amazing

Just loved staying at this perfect cottage with a ton of southern charm. We have stayed there multiple times and the setting is so peaceful and gorgeous. Moss on the trees and an amazing view of the marsh and water. The back deck is so therapeutic and relaxing, I could sit there all day. I highly recommend staying there..

Great home for relaxing

We liked this home very much. Our family stayed here (2 adults and 3 kids). Great access to beach (about 20 minutes). Home was clean. We spent a lot of time on the back porch looking at the marsh. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our second year staying at the White House and we adore it! Peaceful and serene while being close to shopping, restaurants and activities. Rachel is incredibly accommodating and communicative. The house is comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We love it!

Beautiful!

We so enjoyed our stay! It was peaceful and quiet; the only sound were the birds. My kids really enjoyed exploring the surroundings and I loved not having to tell them to quiet down. The house is very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Rachel was responsive and kind!

Very relaxing stay!

We really enjoyed our time. We had great weather and sitting on the porch looking at the marsh and trees was just what I needed. It is a little bit of a drive to Hilton Head but it was the perfect mixture of being close to activities but staying in a relaxing environment. Bluffton is a very cute town as well. We used the grill one night and the kitchen had everything we needed. Communication with the host was great. We definitely see ourselves wanting to stay again.
