Anyone going to Gatlinburg must stay at Closer to home. Beautiful cabin at the top of the mountain overlooking Gatlinburg. Close to everything. We have been there 2 times and will go again. The Host is absolutely amazing.

Beautiful cabin Closer to Home

We loved Closer to Home!!! This was our family's first trip to Gatlinburg and what a better way to enjoy our trip was staying at this beautiful cabin! We had a great time visiting with family and friends! The cabin was clean and had spectacular views! Perfect for kids, Big and Small!! The game room and hot tub with a view were an added bonus. Can't wait to go back!!!

60th Anniversary

We make several trips a year to Gatlinburg and have stayed in several cabins in Black Bear Falls. This is our favorite. It is well furnished and tastefully decorated. It is a fabulous floor plan for a family gathering. We especially loved the outside deck area which is loaded with lots of rocking chairs.

Wonderful view and family getaway.

The house is beautiful and so is the view. Convenient access to Gatlinburg shops as well as the park. My only concerns were not enough towels for the amount of people it is rated for, so might want to bring some. Also toilet paper and paper towels limited supply.

Family Trip

We had a great time at Closer to Home. We had a surprise visit from our sister who flew into town and was able to travel with us to the cabin. The cabin was so clean and perfect for three families plus grandma! We loved how all the children could stay downstairs together and hang out! This cabin is close to everything! We look forward to returning to Closer to Home very soon!

Best Smoky mountain view

The cabin was perfect for our family of 8 and my brother and sister in law. The view was amazing. There are two decks to sit on with plenty of seating. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates, cups and pots and pans. There were books and puzzles but it is hard to get off the deck and come inside. We all said we would stay there again.

Wonderful Home

We had such a wonderful time in this beautiful home/cabin. Time spent site seeing, spending time with family. Wish more could of attended. Everything we really needed was furnished for our stay. Played lots of pool in the evening. The view was something out of a picture!! Would recommend this to others in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed staying at Closer to Home. The access to downtown is a great plus. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing that would have been better was if the sleeper sofa was upstairs instead of down. We had a handicapped guest that could not go down the stairs to sleep, but the sofa upstairs was very comfortable. We look forward to staying again.

Great Cousins Trip

The cabin was very clean and well stocked. It was a great space and lay out for 13 people. We had a couple of mishaps that were outside of the property management’s control (power outage) but they were quick to respond with help. The location is far enough away from the main strip of Gatlinburg that it’s peaceful but close enough that getting to the shops and activities were easily accessible. The only suggestions we have are to have a few extra towels for large groups and to consider getting sheets that are a little softer. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

On top of the mountain

The house was perfectly set up for our group with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs with a living area and of course, the pool table. The kids had their own space. It was nice to have bathrooms next to each bedroom. The sunsets were amazing! The location was very convenient to the places we visited. We enjoyed Dollywood and Anakeesta, but don't go during spring break! It was totally crowded with very long wait lines. Communications with the owners were easy and timely. My only recommendation would be to increase the lighting in the kitchen/living area upstairs.

Nice cabin

The cabin was nice and clean, the view was amazing. I am not giving 5 star for couple of reasons 1. The amenities has “Grilled” mentioned but they should clearly mention it as charcoal grill not propane/gas. We took the charcoal as they didn’t provide it (usually properly owner provides propane/gas) but our attempt to grill on charcoal failed as the grill was outside the cabin and little cold, we lost 2 hours in burning charcoal and couldn’t cook as well. 2. The standing shower was very tiny in 2 bedrooms which has queen beds, it was very hard to stand and took shower.
