Travel down the road to visit Sand Run Lake and our “lower pond,” both great options for catch and release fishing. Visit Sand Run Lake Picnic Area to get lost in the forest filled with pine trees. If you have a hammock, we recommend bringing it so you can fall asleep amongst the trees. The newly renovated gravel fire pit with wooden benches and tables is great for you and your guests to create memories of a lifetime around the campfire. You can end your night by relaxing and unwinding in the warm hot tub. Before heading to bed, make sure you and your guests check out the beautiful starry night sky because that is not something you get to experience all the time.

The absolute best features of the Sandy Run Cabin include all the outdoor features. Being avid outdoor lovers, we hope you and your guests get to spend some quality time outdoors! After waking up, sit on the back deck to gaze into the forest and listen to the nearby nature. Spend the afternoon enjoying flamed grilled food from the grill.

Awesome property, access to trails on site. Very communicative and accommodating hosts. They also offer kayaking and tubing trips. We had a blast! Will definitely stay again!

The second room has no AC nor fan! Hot tub not fully working. No dishwasher, the only bathroom is very tiny for 6 guest (max occupancy), porch at the back was not swept, full of debris. Plenty of towels, clean kitchen, clean living room and bedrooms. Tiny tv and only in the living room. Location is right on the secindary riad. Paid too much for the location and accomodation.

Amazing value for the price. Sort of a strange smell in the lower bedrooms, and the hot tub didn't work the greatest, but the upper living area was perfect. Beautiful location, nice and quiet area, and plenty of sleeping space. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Clean and surprisingly quiet and the local residents where very nice and helpful. The place could use some maintenance. We had a great stay. The staff was professional and polite. I would definitely return.

We were thrilled with our cabin. The property was exactly as described. It was clean and had everything we needed. In addition there is a beautiful creek that runs through the property and provided hours of entertainment for the kids.

The images were a little misleading. I was under the impression that the cabin was a bit more remote than it actually was. We did have a nice visit from one of the neighbors who lived across the street. Overall the cabin would be nice for a family who are not looking for grown up time.

Thomas, we feel as if this review isn't just. You traveled to our cabin after hours and on the day of your arrival the entire area was impacted by a widespread power outage due to a fallen tree. This was completely out of our control as it was caused by mother nature. We ended up resolving the situation for your group so your statement about us not helping solve this issue is false. Power outages impact us just as much as they do our guests.

Sandy run was a nice get away and the price was very reasonable. Limited space for dogs but we were walking the trails at ash cave and old man’s cave. It wasn’t quite a remote as I thought it would be. Took in a few shops in the area and I think the slingshot looks like it would be a fun ride for anyone looking for adventure. Air conditioners go. In windows so if you have a warm spell you will need to open the windows and no screens. Overall a nice getaway for my honey and the fur babies.

Great getaway

It wasn't as isolated as I thought it would be, with neighbors right next to us, but overall it was a good getaway for us as a family to just relax and reconnect.

Cozy cabin

The cabin was very clean. It had everything we needed for a short stay over Christmas. They even decorated a tree and hung Christmas lights

The place was very very clean which we appreciate. We had two major faults with the property. The first issue is the beds. The metal framed beds, sag excessively in the middle, even before you get into the bed. Once you lay in bed, it sags even further. That sag A LOT. One person cannot sleep comfortably and two is even worse. The wood bunkbed sways significantly when someone is on the top bunk. Those mattresses, thankfully did not sag, but were overly firm. The second big concern is that something is crawling around and scratching in the walls of the main bedroom (under the stairs) and also up under the floor of the bathroom upstairs. It could be a raccoon or squirrel-something like that. Lou’s enough to wake me in the middle of the night. Although the location isn’t the best, it was fine for our needs. It would be a perfect location for those doing the ATV and outdoor trails.
