Best of Two Worlds - The Strip and The Beach

Completely renovated (May 2014) 4B/2B private beach cottage. Fully furnished with CENTRAL HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING. Centrally located just steps away from the action and fun on 'the strip' to steps from the private beach for sunbathing and swimming. All this in a peaceful, quiet, private neighborhood!
Fully stocked kitchen (dishes, glasses, pots & pans, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, gas stove, refrigerator, towels & dishcloths). 4 private bedrooms for 8 people, complete with bed linens & pillows - #1- Full Size, #2 - Queen Size, #3 - 2 Twin Beds, #4 - 1 Twin w/Trundle Bed. (LIMITED OCCUPANCY TO 8 GUESTS)
Two Bathrooms; Upstairs has a tub. Downstairs has a shower. Both bathrooms are stocked with towels, hand and face cloths and tissue paper, bath & hand soaps. Gas Grill and picnic table in the backyard.
Bring your own beach towels. A washer & dryer are available.

Excellent Rental

Comfortable and great location.

2nd year there. When steps to upstairs get to be too much, there is a main floor bed and bath.

Great place!

We loved the house and the location! Our boys loved swimming at the beach. The house was pretty clean, but I think a new shower curtain liner would be nice. We were very comfortable there and enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Great place

Karen was so easy to communicate with during our stay. Our power went out and she was kind enough to check with the electric company and gave us an estimated time. The location of the home was perfect. Other driving to a few wineries we never moved our cars. We would definitely stay here again!

Love this place not the first time staying here. They have stocked the home wonderfully and it’s well kept. The location is about as good as it gets!! The property manager is so easy to reach she always gets back quickly and the owners are very accommodating.

Amazing!

It was beautiful and very spacious. We had access to everything we needed and were right in the middle of the good stuff just like it said. Karen was very friendly, responsive and helpful! Definitely will keep in mind for future trips.

What can i say if your thinking about it do it. Pack a few personal items and go. They provide everything, i mean every thing. Opened the door walked in we were good for the week. Very clean and comfortable.

Treated us like family

This property owner really cares about her guest. The property is perfect for families however it is on the strip so it can get loud. We loved hearing the music and opened our windows. She went out of her way to make sure my teens could reheat there food and got us a microwave ❤️. She is 100 percent the best host we have food.

Nice cottage, carnival atmosphere

Cottage was nice. Nothing fancy but clean and good price. The town of GOTL is quite the place. Big biker culture. So lots of dive bars, arcades and live music venues. But plenty to do for kids and unique shopping. Enjoyed our time in this eccentric town, but when this listing says it’s in the heart of the strip, they MEAN it. It is steps from the heart of the strip. So if you want peace and quiet, this is not the place. But we enjoyed the vibe and had fun. Beach was decent but small. Overall would recommend if you like to go out and party and walk home.

Best of Both Worlds!

This was a lovely cottage! The location PERFECT... close enough to the strip but far enough to have a peaceful relaxing sleep. We especially enjoyed the stoned area behind the house for visiting....nice cool breeze coming through, lots of chairs and cute little stone benches. This sleeping arrangements were ideal as well, 3 bedrooms upstairs, one with twin beds for little people and tv. A downstairs bedroom was perfect for my mother who cant do stairs well. bathroom upstairs had a nice big tub to give my grandsons a bath, downstairs bathroom a shower for a quick cleanup. I had a wonderful wonderful stay her and highly recommend this cottage for anyone! Management , great communication as well!

Worst place of MY LIFE!

So dirty! Dried feces in toilets, urine everywhere, dead bugs by the hundreds on every windowsill, filthy refrigerator, dirty linens! CROOKED FLOORS! It goes on & on! We left after 1 night & still did not receive all of our money back. BUYER BEWARE

Our mother grew up here in GOTL living with her grandmother in the 1920's. After marrying our father and moving to California and then Florida for many years, our parents decided to return to the lake and purchased this cottage in '84 as a summer retreat. With their passing, we wanted to keep the GOTL heritage alive and took charge of the cottage in 2011. We updated the cottage almost from the ground up with new windows, electric, insulation, wood, tile & carpeted flooring. Central Air Conditioning and heat duct work was added to every room but the sun room. In 2014, we completed furnishing, decorating and stocking Happy Trails Cottage to create a comfortable, fun, easy living space where guests can go to the private beach and relax and swim or jump into the action along Ohio's first Lake Resort town. We look forward to having you visit and enjoy your stay in Happy Trails Cottage!
