Music City River Retreat is hidden away on a residential street less than a mile from The Grand Ole Opry, Opryland Resort and Convention Center, Opry Mills Mall and great restaurants and bars. You won't even realize how close to the action you are when you are relaxing watching the river and the wildlife in the yard. It is a two story house with an open floor plan that includes the family room, kitchen and eating area. This area has real hardwood floors and is great for entertaining. There is a 52 inch flat screen TV above the gas fireplace in the family room with bose speaker surround sound, cd player, HD cable, blu ray player and WIFI internet connection. The Master Bedroom and a small bedroom are downstairs and there are two bedrooms upstairs. A scene from the film 'Lukewarm' with John Schneider and Jet Jurgensmeyer was filmed here in 2012. The house was also featured in a weather channel show called 'Twist of Fate', season 1 episode 6 and 'The Ellen Show' about the 2010 Nashville Flood.

Peaceful retreat close to Nashville

Great time staying at this beautiful home on the river just close wnough to the City to see the sights and far enough away to relax. Love the large above ground pool!

Quiet getaway perfect for all ages

One of the most surprising things was how quiet it was. Even though it's really close to major attractions and a huge mall, it is super quiet! We went in late December and caught fish every day from the dock. We enjoyed the game room - the variety of games is amazing and serves all ages. The hosts are extremely nice and kind, were incredibly communicative, and are probably the best hosts of anywhere we've stayed. Definitely recommend!!

Great view of the river! Loved the combination of the peaceful backyard (back porch was wonderful) with being minutes from the Opry and downtown.

Excellent stay in the Music Valley!

We had an incredible stay at this home away from home for bachelor party weekend. The mini garage arcade was a big hit and the location on the river provided an excellent background for our weekend. The hosts were incredibly helpful with any questions and made sure we were set for our stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking to explore all of Nashville!

Such a great place

Amazing property

Wonderful accommodations. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway to Nashville. Could have used more garbage bags & paper products but we were just a short trip to the grocery store. Thanks for making my birthday trip so memorable.

Roomy stay very close to Opryland

We had family that wanted to see daughter compete at dance nationals held at Gaylord. It was 5 minutes away and home accommodated everyone who came. We could stay and play in the pool, game room, or even on the river. Close to the mall with lots of food options, airport and downtown. Great VRBO!

Peaceful Retreat

Attend a conference at the Gaylord so this location was perfect! House is amazing! Plenty of room and absolutely loved the back porch. So relaxing! The game room was definitely a great bonus! The owners were easy to work with, very responsive and literally make it extremely easy and comfortable to stay here! Highly recommend!

Nashville Girls Golf Trip

The property was very comfortable and the hot tub was perfect after a day on the golf course. The game room was so much fun! The location to Opryland was very convenient and an Uber was under $10 if you need a ride. Getting the kayaks to the river is a bit of an adventure - but doable even for a group of 60 something women. We would absolutely stay here again!

This place is nothing short of amazing!

Adult family vacation & we’ve stayed at a number of VRBO homes in a variety of locations. We were so impressed with the location, the view (stunning), & the home amenities. We all especially enjoyed the game room in the garage, the kayaks, & hot tub. Lots of room, well stocked & the owners are very supportive. We would highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy the Nashville nightlife without the hustle & bustle of staying downtown.

winning game room

I let our teens choose from a list of homes, and they chose this one for the game room. It did not disappoint. Everything else was as described in the listing, and we had no complaints.

Hosts were very good to our needs, and answered every questions we had about the house.

It has just about everything one needs, just like your own house. There were a lot of board games, cards, arcade machines, outside games to keep minors busy and for that fact adults too. Kitchen was well stocked, house well clean. it would better stocked with more Bath towels due to pool and Hot Tub use plus showers.

Family from 3 states enjoyed our accommodations. They were as promised, delightful.

Easy to rent through. However it was sticker shock with the added fees. Those fees added about 27% more to the rent rate. Seemed high.

Beautiful House on Beautiful Property!

There were 10 of us in total and we all had a blast! We absolutely loved the pool and the back patio overlooking the river! We took full advantage of the kayaks and the game room! The owners were always very quick to respond to any questions that we had. There was enough room so that we never felt on top of each other. The beds were very comfy and the bedrooms were all a great size. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Nashville! A great big thank you to Anne and Bill for a fabulous family vacation!

Just perfect!

3 families totaling 6 adults and 7 children stayed comfortably in this beautiful home! The property on the river was amazing. Location was perfect for all Nashville activities (we had a dance competition at the Gaylord, explored Broadway and other sites in Downtown, went to the Nashville Zoo, and even hiked some waterfalls). The game room, kayaks, and hot tub were a huge hit for all!! The house had plenty of space for everyone. Linens, some toiletries, pots/pans, coffee maker, and a waffle maker were all provided (just to name a few). Tons of board games and cards were also in the house. The owners replied swiftly via text with any issues we had. We all enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching the kids play in the grass overlooking the Cumberland River. Overall, we had a wonderful 5 day vacation thanks to this Music City River Retreat! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Vacation

We came to spend few days in Nashville to celebrate my sons 21st birthday with some family. Bill and Anne have a beautiful home!! We had 9 people with us, and had plenty of space. They responded with any questions I had or helped giving us few recommendations for ordering in. When we weren't in downtown Nashville on Broadway, there was so much to do at the house that we utilized (the pool, hot tub, kayaks, fishing and the most used was the garage game party room!) We even went down the road and enjoyed some music at Scoreboard, Nashville Palace and Music City Bar & Grill. All had some amazing bands, and very welcoming. Did go to the Cooters Museum (brought back lots memories from Dukes of Hazard), walked through the Willie Nelson store too! We definitely will be back here, as Anne & Bill were awesome hosts!!

Bill and I have been married for 10 years and have lived in the Donelson area for 15 years. We designed and built this house in 2008 and have really enjoyed raising our kids here. We have also owned and operated a licensed locksmith company for over five years in this area. We know that anyone that stays here will be able to build great memories with their friends and families.
